  1. Post-tripodic stress disorder is treatable these days.
  2. Well, some people think we might draft Whitney Mercilus. I'd feel better about him if he spelled it right, but maybe after the draft we could get him to change it to Whitney "Bradysmybitch." Makes more sense than a change to "Ochocinco." While he's at it, he oughta change "Whitney" to Joe. Nobody's gonna be scared of a DE with the same first name as a dead diva. Just my 2 lira.
  3. The "dude" is named VICK, so he's gotta be pretty quick when he stays upright. Even if not, we could use him to build Kelsay's confidence in practice. If a camera tripod can cover him, Kelsay's got a shot.
  4. I think it was Kevin Thomas. He ran a 4.64 40, which was pretty slow for a CB even in 2002. As I recall, he later explained the slow time by saying he forgot to bring his shoes to the combine and ran in a borrowed pair that were too big for him. Don't know if it's true, but that was his story. http://nflcombineresults.com/playerpage.php?f=Kevin&l=Thomas&i=5916 He never played a great deal, but was a decent and improving reserve IMO until he got hurt.
  5. Couldn't remember for sure who it was - - might have been CB Kevin Thomas, taken in round 6 (176th overall) out of UNLV in 2002. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6063 It's been a while, so I might have the wrong guy. Maybe somebody else can confirm?
  6. As I recall, we once drafted a CB who ran a slow 40 at the combine because he forgot his shoes and had to borrow somebody else's that were too big. He turned out OK for us until he tore up a knee. So maybe we should draft RB Vick Ballard from Miss. State. When we drafted Thurman, he had a chip on his shoulder and used it as motivation all the way to the Hall of Fame. My guess is that Ballard will have something to prove: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/27/vick-ballard-falls-nfl-combine-40-yard-dash_n_1304672.html
  7. 25 posts, and nobody mentioned "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" - - - WTF?
  8. Trading Lee Evans reduced his cap figure for 2012, but he still counts a little over $2.3 million against the Bills 2012 salary cap: http://nyjetscap.com/Bills/bills2012.php I agree that it will be interesting to see how much of the available 2012 cap space the Bills actually spend, and for which players.
  9. Maybe a Starfleet Academy training exercise required Worf to travel back in time and advise Ralph Wilson NOT to draft 1st round RBs and DBs - - - that would have toughend him up.

  11. Well, we are both posting on a football website late at night, so maybe we're kindred spirits.
  12. If Weird Al gets the gig and the Bills make the Big Game, we can all party like it's 1699! I bet he could do a great parody of "Are You Ready For Some Football?" (if Hank Williams would let him after losing the Monday Night gig). Or better yet, do one parody of each half time performer of the last few years
  13. I've gotten no complaints about where I've been putting it lately, so speak for yourself!
  14. I agree that it was a well-researched article. Although I don't know much about it, I've read that with persistent effort, a blogger who consistently posts high quality content can sometimes generate enough traffic to make a little money from his/her blog. As others here on TBD have lamented, it can be difficult to find up-to-date NFL team salary cap information. If this guy can fill a niche by becoming a go-to source of that info, and combine it with other interesting team articles, he might eventually make some decent money from his blog. His blog site has a few adds, so I would think it's generating a small income. Most bloggers apparently make little or nothing for their efforts, but FWIW (article is over 3 years old and contains an unscientific survey about what bloggers self-reported as monthly blog income): http://www.problogger.net/archives/2009/01/02/how-much-money-do-bloggers-make-blogging/
  15. For anyone trying to evaluate what Stevie Johnson is worth, I thought this link offered an interesting perspective: http://www.nyjetscap.com/2012_Articles/steviejohnsonvalue.php
  16. MaDonna was big in the 80's - - maybe she started it.
  17. If your local computer geek winds up having to restore factory settings again to fix the problem, you might want to find a geek who can explain to you how to use "Hijack This" (it's free) to create and print out a log file immediately after proper functioning is restored (or do it for you). I'm told that logs run both before and after a recurring problem strikes can be useful to a geek in troubleshooting the cause of the problem. "Hijack This" has the ability to do more than create logs, but I'm also told you need to be careful about using it to do more than create logs if you aren't a geek yourself. Here's one helpful site: http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/it. If you want to learn more about the program, just google "Hijack This" and read some of the hits. If your local geek gives you a blank stare when you mention "Hijack This," find another geek.
  18. Laptop or desktop? I have sometimes had success in resolving problems by doing a google search on the symptoms. I googled: Dell "Windows 7" distort audio mouse pointer and here's the first hit: http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/205213-sound-distortion-problem-when-wireless.html May not be exactly your problem but it may give you some insights on things to try. You may be able to construct a google search that will more precisely focus on the problem than the single attempt I made. You could also post a description of your symptoms on the "Windows 7 forum" site and seek help there. Good luck!
  19. Until today, some skeptics just wouldn't believe that the government is involved in the sunken UFO conspiracy. But check this out. The FCC, while attempting to divert our attention with that "lift the NFL black-out rule" nonsense, announced today that the feds are going to kill the nationwide high-speed wireless broadband network proposed by LightSquared. Big deal you say - - so what? Well take a closer look at what's really going on. From the Associated Press: http://www.seattlepi.com/business/article/FCC-plans-to-nix-wireless-network-that-may-jam-GPS-3332706.php So how come the caption for the picture at the top of the article says: LightSquared has already invested nearly 4 billion dollars in a new wireless broadband system and the feds are going to shut them down so the feds can do a better job of tracking sea turtles? Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous? C'mon man! If the government really wanted to track sea turtles, all they would need to do is turn up the power on the GPS satellites so the signals from space would be strong enough to overcome the potential interference from the LightSquared transmitters (which will be on land and won't be anywhere near the sea turtles out in the Gulf of Mexico anyway). But if the NSA is tracking space-based signals that are weak because they're from a distant galaxy, the feds can't turn the power up. I betcha one of them underwater UFOs hit the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig on the way in, and that twin otter DHC-6 in the picture was either searching for the wreckage, or trying to home in on the weak signals from space to try to pinpoint the galaxy that the underwater UFOs came from. I was born at night, but it wasn't LAST night - - and if I worked for LightSquared, I'd be pretty pissed!
  20. Were you too young for the news coverage of his murder trial that was watched by most people on the planet? You should have said he "cuts" like OJ, get it? I thought that was pretty good - - it even matches the implicit bigotry of your OP!
  21. Cut the line for each player into 2 parts, do it for the whole first round, recite it to the "88 lines about 44 women" tune below, and call it "64 lines about 32 rookies." You'll make ESPN's prime time draft show! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzMDcL0aiEk
  22. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/02/12/remaining-2011-cap-space-by-team/ Note that the following list says nothing one way or the other about whether any particular team will choose to carry over its listed, unused 2011 cap space to 2012:
  23. It's new (or at least more straightforward) - - FYI: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/141339-the-2011-cba-has-a-salary-cap-carry-over-clause/
  24. Well, as Ron White says, you can't fix stupid! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fL6wbsGx9qw
  25. I was going to post a reply critical of your mind dump, but when I read it, I realized that I think you may have better insights about this stuff than I think you do.
