  1. Maybe, but you have to think the message to JA this week is going to be focused on throwing it away, taking the sack when it's third down and you're going to be punting anyway, not throwing back over the middle late, not throwing it up for grabs with 3 defenders draped on him, etc. So...ball security. We can't let NE start in our territory or have an average drive start of their own 40. Allen will need to improvise and make plays like he always does, but I also think he'll play smarter this week. There's no way he's not learning from those bonehead moves. You can see his reactions on the sideline and how mad he is at himself. This has to (for the sake of a W) be the week he takes a step forward in "playing smart".
  2. I expect two things from the Bills offense against NE that we haven't really seen yet this year. 1. More deep throws from JA (possibly with an uptick in the targets to Foster). 2. Singletary, if healthy, to be a featured and focal point of the gameplan.
  3. I look at it as it could have easily been a trap or let down game with us looking ahead to NE, but we still pulled out a win. I'm okay with the learning curve if there's still a W as the end result.
  4. It takes all good teams time to learn how to win. We're doing that now. All that matters is the number in the W column! That said, hopefully we've learned a thing or two these past three weeks, because we need a dominant performance next week to even have a chance to be in the game in the 4th. School is out. Time to show us what they've learned.
  5. Their O line has significant issues. I'm guessing 5 sacks today.
  6. "Must win" gets thrown around WAY too much in the NFL. Think about what the phrase actually means. Let's wait until week 9 and use it for any teams sitting at 0-8.
  7. I'm confused. How can they potentially win the Super Bowl if we are definitely going to win it?
  8. It was the most exciting part of the play, to see him blocking that well even with the defender's hands grabbing the facemask.
  9. I like no longer having to automatically assume we are not going to convert 3rd and long. I actually expect us to make a good play now in those situations.
  10. It has probably been said already as I didn't read the entire thread first, but we have a quarterback who can win the game for us in the 4th quarter and rise to the occasion when it matters most! It's been a long time coming.
  11. When you say "some coach" I automatically think Andy Reid.
  12. I'm quite happy with the WR situation. Many are overreacting as if we have no talent in the WR room. It's the best group the Bill's have had in years. Foster is the number 1 and Brown and Beasley are both talented receivers who will do a lot for Allen.
  13. For the past two years I've really wanted to buy a draft hat...then they release the designs. Maybe they'll get my money next year.
  14. I'm a big fan of Wes Hills as well, but have seen some predictions of him going as high as the third round, though I think they've fallen a bit lately. I'd love to grab David Blough in the 6th. He does have some projections in the 5th, so perhaps he doesn't quite fit the criteria of this thread either.
  15. Sammy Morris never had the chance to really be a feature back but could have shined given a better opportunity. He had a 4.1 career ypc average on 736 rushes and scored a TD about every 28 touches. In 2008 with NE he had the most attempts of his career, 156, and had 4.7 ypc and also scored nearly once per 22 rushes.
