Go away.
Because I'm expressing an opinion about disliking the HC hire? Yea, that seems reasonable.
-
We haven't "done really good for two years" in about 17 years.
The point is that any half competent coach could win with this team for the next two years. I would have liked a hire who could win consistently for the next 20.
Fans mostly loved Ryan
Yea. Douchey Jets fans.
-
His defense requires cornerbacks. His GM refused to get him any. He was not given final say over his QBs on gameday. Rex was set up to fail, now he gets a chance to coach with full support from his organization.
You know what good coaches do if their defense requires CBs and they don't have any? They scheme a different defense that plays to the strengths of the players they do have.
-
Wait...
Are you from the FUTURE???
Yea. A future where Rex does really good again for two years after inheriting a stacked team (defensively at least), and then finishes out the last three years of his contract with losing records.
-
Wow. This is the most catty thing I've ever heard. This is the NFL. A multibillion dollar industry. Not a high school football team.
Perhaps you'd prefer the guy who just grabbed $4 million put his tail between his legs and left in the middle of the night?
Oh my fault. Yea, it's not important to relate to the fan base in any way.
-
Actually, yea. With the talent on this team and another year having worked together, we'd likely be in the playoffs next year with any of the twelve we interviewed. That doesn't mean they are all good hires.Lol, wow. If we make it to the playoffs for the first time in 15 years (because that was clearly going to happen no mattet who the coach was [sarcasm]) you will be pissed about it because it would validate the coaching candidate you didn't support in the previous offseason?
You sir, sound like a hell of a "Buffalo guy".
-
What?? What the hell is a Buffalo type guy anyway. Ridiculous comment
A down-to-earth, we're in this together, the group is more important than the individual, I bust my *ss everyday just to scrape by and survive type of guy. Or, is that not the mentality you see everyday from folks in Buffalo? ... Yea, Rex doesn't have this. All he cares about is himself and running off his mouth to get attention...for himself.

Looks like it will be Greg Roman as the OC: "The popular rumor floating around the NFL was that Ryan would bring Marc Trestman with him as his offensive coordinator. It appears that is not the case, according to Schefter, as Greg Roman, the 49ers OC, will be coming along with Rex.
"The offensive coordinator Rex Ryan is most likely to bring with him to Buffalo is 49ers OC Greg Roman, per source."

Oh good! Can't wait to have an offense that can't get the WRs the ball, doesn't know how to use a stud TE, and needs either the QB or RB to get 150 yards on the ground to be successful.
-
The thing that bothers me the most is we have a really talented team that was likely going to make the playoffs next year anyway. Now this worthless sack of crap is gonna get credit for it.
Can't wait to hear this fat POS run his mouth off all the time.
Sorry, but he's not a Buffalo type of guy who's humble with working class roots/mentality. He's a "I'm better than everyone else" type of guy.

Posted in another thread, but....Dabo Swinney. Knows how to use CJ and Sammy. Previous WR and WRs coach. Built a good D at Clemson and knows how to win. Oh, and that whole nice guy, knows how to talk to the press, good personality thing.
-
Dream Coach: Dabo Swinney: Great offensive mind who played WR and coached on the offensive side of the ball before becoming a HC. Has also built, or made the right hires to build, a really good D. Great personality as well to handle our overwhelming media, and seems to be a guy players buy into. Oh yea, can use guys like Sammy and CJ (if back) effectively and in unique ways.
Eh: Schwartz and Reich both fall here for me. Good minds, specific specialty areas for each, the ability to comprehensively oversee a successful team, yet to be decided.
HELL NO: Hue Jackson...just NO.

Saying it again...Dabo Swinney! On top of being a former WR and WRs coach and proving he knows how to use Spiller and Watkins, his defenses have been solid. Well rounded coach who understands both sides of the ball, and get this, has a great personality!
-
Time to get Dabo Swinney on the phone.
-
Best coach since Ralph ran Wade out of town. Who cares if Doug was a little smug. He changed the loser attitude of this organization and the players gave their all and bought what he was selling.
-
Let's go....Bills
-
-
I did say reception!
He's made some good throws on the last few drives.
-
Anyone else just see Grayson's 39 yard TD reception?
-
I'm a little bias since I watched CSU games every week, but I would be quite okay with Garrett Grayson in the 3rd, and definitely in the 4th. Granted, the Mountain West competition is not stellar, but he has the physical tools to succeed.
This year he has thrown for 3,779 yards, 32 TDs, and 6 INTs, with a 64.8% completion percentage
CSU Rams are playing in the Las Vegas Bowl tomorrow. I'd be interested to hear some thoughts after the game

granted, he dropped two very catchable balls. But after watching the way the Giants target ODB, the panthers with Benjamin and the Bucs with Evans, it frustrates the heck out of me that Watkins continues to be targeted anything less than 10x per game
With all that said, way to go Robert Woods
I imagine it is really hard for fans like you when we perform so well and win so easily. Sorting through all those positives for something to complain about must be exhausting.

Do you know how infrequently the Pats have lost even two in a row during the Belichick era? Leap years are a common occurrence in comparison. Three in a row? Please, the officials and Kraft will not let that happen. The division? Face it, that ship sailed in October when the Bills failed to beat the Pats at home and ensure at least a split. You can unfortunately assign the division title to the patsies yet again.
I prefer to support my team with optimism and always believe there is a way to win the division or get to the playoffs until mathematically impossible. That's why I don't believe in "must win" mid-November games. When you're sitting around .500 there's no such thing in the literal sense.
I'll have another glass of kool-aid, please. Those losses taught us a lot. Patriots lose three in a row while we're winning three.

Even with a playoff appearance, and Marrone finding a way to sick around, Hackett needs to go.
I hear Charlie Weis needs a job.
NEW HEAD COACH: Rex Ryan! It's Official!

Well, my friends do typically dislike my overly optimistic attitude when it comes to the Bills. I'm the guy who predicts 13 wins at the beginning of the season and am convinced we're going to make up 21 points in the last five minutes of a game after only scoring 3 points in the rest of the game...so yea, I'm convinced any coach could take this team to the playoffs next year.
