    I've got 10

I like the agreement that the jets are just going to be awful by the end of the year. Maybe we'll get one of those crazy 10 points spreads!

  2. Per OP's list:

Add week 2 versus pats if janeane starts for Brady

    Subtract week 6 versus bengals

I went back and forth on the Bengals game. I landed on the rationale that hopefully we'll have either a 3-2 or 4-1 record at that point. If this is the case, we've beat a couple of quality teams in there somewhere over the first 5 weeks, making it reasonable we would be favored at home.

  3. I'm not sure we'll win all the ones I have listed. For example, I think we'll be favored at home against the giants, but if our secondary struggles that day it could definitely be a loss.

As far as finding a couple more, I'm counting on a week 1 win against the Colts and a week 3 win against the Dolphins, but don't think we'll go into those games as favorites.

  4. I thought it may be fun to get thoughts on the number of times and which games you expect the Bills to be favored in this year, based on Vegas odds. Again, not the games you think the Bills will win or lose, but when you think they will actually be favored. I think it will take us winning 2 of the first 3 to get some respect, and we will be underdogs in each of the first 3 games. The one way I could see this changing is if we convincingly beat Indy and NE, meaning by at least two scores each. At that point, we would probably be favored going into Miami, depending on how they played the first two weeks. But, I'm not sure that will happen so...

    These are the games I think we will actually be favored in;

Week 4 vs Giants, Buffalo -2.5

Week 5 at Tennessee, Buffalo -4.5

Week 6 vs Cincinnati, Buffalo -1.5

Week 7 at Jacksonville, Buffalo -5

Week 9 vs Miami, Buffalo -1.5

Week 10 at Jets, Buffalo -3.5

Week 13 vs Houston, Buffalo -3.5

Week 15 at Washington, Buffalo -2.5

Week 17 vs Jets, Buffalo -4.5

  5. I read through and saw a few comments about holding, and this is by far the rule I have most. Offensive holding, 10 yards, do it 3 times and its 1 and 40. One defensive holding call and all of a sudden it is a new set of downs and 1 and 10. I don't even like that offensive holding is 10 yards. It gets called so often.

I would like to see both offensive and defensive holding as 5 yard penalties. And, as Big Cat said, if the 5 yard defensive hold pushes them past the sticks, then fine, give them the first down. But, if it's 3 and 16 and the defense holds, well, now its 3 and 11.

  6. Take the next step in your thinking.....Tebow is not worthy of an NFL roster spot.

Debatable...although largely agreed upon by NFL executives. I'd still rather have him over Cassel. Cassel will manage the game and play it safe (with this D maybe that is all we need to win). I'm not saying either deserve to start, but as a 3rd string option, I'd prefer Tebow over Cassel. It would require less of an adjustment to the playbook if both EJ and TT went down, and the excitement/unpredictable craziness he brings to the game is fun to watch.

  7.

That's not it, just say something controversial and you will get all the "friends" you want.

I thought my last couple of comments would at least garner some type of reaction. I'll try harder!

Or just beg for attention like you're doing now. That gets the job done for most people. :D

Seriously, though, it's perfectly fine to change your mind on Ryan. I think everyone was at least a little skeptical. And, of course, they haven't accomplished anything yet, but I like his moxy and I think he's the kind of leader the Bills need.

    Seems to have worked!

I never doubted his coaching ability. I mainly just had a distaste for his obnoxious comments and loud mouth. I'm not sure if he seems to have toned it down or not. But, when he's on your side, obnoxious and loud seems more like cool and confident.

  8. I really do not think EJ has looked any worse or better than any of the other QBs overall (based on impartial tweets, TBD reports, and the first preseason game). He has the highest ceiling. That said, I truly believe his leadership skills, or lack thereof, are holding him back. Can he take command of the huddle, get in someone's face when needed, and truly motivate and control his teammates on and off the field.

I'm really not sure that he can, at least not at this point. If he had this ability, I think he would be at the top of the depth chart.

  9. BINGO!! They are developing him the right way. Piece of clay to mold.

Though his time exclusively with the 3s and "maybe some reps with the 2s" seems to indicate he has fallen behind, I do like the idea of him getting all the reps he can. He was clearly mishandled his first two years in the league and almost undermined by the coaching staff. I still believe EJ can be the long term answer at QB, but I guess we'll see. I will admit TT was exciting to watch on Friday and kept the offense moving.

EJ is going to get the majority of the game Thursday. I wonder what happens to the competition if he does something ridiculous like 22 of 25, 3TDs, 285 passing and 40 on the ground.

  10. Up to 15, impressive actually. However, failing to mention EJ in their comment is stupid.

    "15. Buffalo Bills

Tyrod Taylor winning the starting quarterback job would be a crazy story. He has completed one NFL pass since 2012. But it sure seems, from reports there, like he's had a much better camp than Matt Cassel."

  11. Enjoy watching the Broncos, simply because they always seem to have a talented roster, but my overall feelings are meh. Now, when Tebow was there, I made it a point to tune in and watch any game that didn't interfere with Buffalo. The excitement he brought was making me a fan, but that didn't last long.
