  1. With TT seemingly playing better I started wondering about age and QB performance. Luckily, most of the time with the internet, somebody else has wondered the same thing and did the work. It is a couple of years old now, but I came across this; http://www.footballperspective.com/quarterback-age-curves/ Really interesting read. According to this guy, QBs are in their prime from the age of 26 or 27 to 31, with their performance peak at age 29. So, Tyrod's best year is still in front of him. Good read overall.
  2. So what do we do with all of our draft picks if Taylor becomes "the guy"? WR, OL, MLB...in that order?
  3. Multiple times this game playing off 10 yards when they need 3 or 4 for a first. Just don't understand it.
  4. Gonna 100% agree with Hughes on this one. Kelly has always seemed like a giant DB anyway.
  5. If Taylor looks like this, or similar to how he played vs the Jets, 2 out of every 3 weeks, he'll be our starter next year. And, if not, there will be a lot of teams lining up to sign him.
  6. Actually, it is over. Those guys are all gone, playing for other teams, retired...not coming back. Hopefully your head is okay.
  7. I suppose just that there are better things to discuss than "what ifs" during the regular season. During the off-season, that's expected as there isn't much else going on. Yea, we've traded some guys and didn't resign others. People need to move on and get over it.
  8. Actually, for two weeks in a row, I've seen a lot more good on the field than bad.
  9. I was under the impression threads like this would disappear once the season started.
  10. The feedback on Romo as a color analyst has been phenomenal. I'm excited to catch a game soon with him in the booth.
  11. I'm a big fan of Gruden as well. He likely has more real analysis and good information/points to make about individual players than anyone else.
  12. Who would be willing to go 0-16 for the chance to draft a Matthew Stafford?
  13. Some of the reports said he's simply a ridiculous athlete who just happens to play safety. I can agree with that after seeing two games. Too soon to buy a Poyer jersey?
  14. Watching the Denver game and thinking they look a ton better on offense than last year under Dennison. However, after looking at 2016 stats their offense was actually quite good. I must just be tainted from today's performance. That said, I really do remember them looking awful on offense several games last year. Just looked at scores. Three games with 10 points or fewer, another where they scored 13 and one where they scored 16.
  15. Again, seriously? You wrote "What is going on there? A surprising amount of NFL coaches cannot manage the clock. Yet a college student can make a hierarchy of when to call a timeout at exact moments of a game to save the most clock. Him failing to call a TO with less than 40 seconds to go after a run was crazy." So you weren't indicating that McDermott is one of the coaches who cannot manage a clock? Which would mean you have zero issue with how he managed the clock for the Carolina game. Which would mean you would have never started this thread. There is literally nothing else you could have meant by this thread other than "McDermott cannot manage the clock." Sure, if you had started this thread in the preseason, or any other time not after a loss when the announcer specifically disagreed with the clock management, maybe I would buy what your selling. But, given the circumstances, and what you typed, "McDermott cannot manage the clock" is either what you meant, or you did a poor job expressing your thoughts in writing. haha Thank you
  16. Also I did not mean to insult you personally. I never said you were stupid. I said the statement/premise of the thread was stupid.
  17. Seriously? You're going to backtrack that far? Based on what you posted the logical conclusion is that you think McDermott cannot manage the clock. There is no way around that is what you were saying.
  18. Uhhhh I just did. Literally, the post you used to start this thread says "cannot manage".
  19. You started this thread with a post that said a surprising number of NFL coaches CANNOT manage the clock and the Bills need to hire a clock management specialist. So yes, you did say that.
  20. Just because you disagree with the strategy doesn't mean it was a mistake or mismanagement. I'm gonna have to believe that the HC of an NFL team can manage a NFL game better than you. The premise of your statements isn't that you disagree with the strategy, but rather, that McDermott can't manage the clock, which is just inaccurate and stupid.
