    I totally agree with you here, but I want to get him something that makes a good cup of coffee in the fewest possible steps and has minimal clean up.

    Jack, I'm leaning towards a Keurig; that's what I have read, they can be loud. My father is 78 so I see no problems there. The big question I have to pose to you is, how is the coffee from your MD's machine? Is it better than say a Wawa (Tim Hortons??)
