  1. I love the Dilferesque argument. While we're at it, so does Brad Johnson.
  2. He had some pretty decent talent in Cincy.
  3. No playoffs for 13 years will do that.
  4. So why is that? Is it the city? The franchise? The fact we have sucked for 13 years? Why won't someone make a Reggie White move and come to a small market team?
  5. Could be true, just as many drafted players will be. We have to pick the best player available, IMO, because we do have many holes. If we are not willing to trade up to grab a QB, we need the BPA, unless that player is Richardson.
  6. Whoever goes after him and does not get him will create an interesting subplot going into the season with their current QB.
  7. It's funny because we already have an elite, franchise QB.
  8. Word is among his acquaintances that he is very driven to prove people wrong.
  9. And a two time SB champion. I'd take that.
  10. Don't come here often but I have to say Dave in Norfolk comes off as an a** hole.
  11. Who knew? He is the perfect example of the importance of QBs in his league.
  12. No way they do this if Andrew Luck isnt there for the taking. He makes Peyton expendable.
  13. Trading up for Coples is dumber than trading a lot of draft picks for RGIII. Oh wait, I thought that was a good idea.
  14. I do. However few have the balls to trade up to get someone they feel could be elite. The Giants did and the results speak for themselves.
  15. I'm confused: in another thread, you stated this about VJ - "Chargers (Vincent Jackson)I'm tired of posting about him but his numbers don't compare to stevies check the pinned thread for my comparison. On top of quitting on his team for more money." Here, you are excited about the prospect of signing him. Where do you really stand on the issue?
  16. Perhaps a reason many are clamoring for a franchise QB. It makes up for a lot of deficiencies elsewhere.
  17. Now is the perfect time to grab a franchise QB...go get RGIII!
  18. We have a ton of cap space and what's wrong with wanting to score 45 a game? NOTE TO FANS: it's not YOUR money!! If a top player from FA wants to come here, whether he be a punter, WR, OLB, DE or whatever, why not sign him and upgrade your talent?
  19. Your signature line at the bottom says it all. No way he's a top 8 QB next season. (I hope I am wrong)
  20. I have no opinion on the original post, however, the above statement shows how low we have sunk as a fan base and how any nugget thrown our way is clung to with the hope it leads us to the promised land. My question for you is this: what about how Nix has run the team since taking over do you like? Can you be more specific? I don't see how switching to a 3 - 4 without the necessary personnel on the roster, then drafting to fill the glaring 3 - 4 needs we have, then ditching that idea after year two and moving back to a 4 - 3, thus rendering some of the previous draft picks useless has earned the right to be praised. We keep stating how brutal our defense is, with good reason. Who is the reason for that? Look at the stats from 2009 vs. 2011. Rather sobering. All stats are "allowed by defense." 2009 2011 First Downs 310 340 3rd down conversions 40.4% 39.7% Yards 5449 5624 Rush yds / Avg 2501/4.7 2224/4.8 Sacks by the Bills 46 23 TD against Bills 37 53 Time of Possession by opponent 32:34 29:49 Turnover ratio by Bills +3 +1 Keep in mind 10 of those sacks came vs. the Redskins. Our overall stats are far worse, despite the opponents having the ball almost 3 minutes less in 2011! How is that progress? Sorry, I cannot defend the regime. We are far worse on defense despite being defensive minded in drafts. We can look at the drafted Maybin fiasco all we want, but the numbers are what they are. We are locked in mediocrity and I hope to hell we can find our way out before I die.
  21. We are all aware of your man-crush for Fitz. You don't have to sound like a little B word while displaying it.
  22. No...it will be someone else's fault.
  23. Really? A quote from a Peter King article, an article where he calls Cam the "best rookie ever": Listen to these strong words from owner Jerry Richardson to me the other day: "As far as I'm concerned, he'll be the last quarterback we ever draft high in my lifetime. He is a very unusual young man, and I say that in a highly complimentary way. He does not complain. Ever. He's never in the trainers room. You watch him get hit out there and you think, 'He got to be hurting,' and then you see he's never with the trainers. The way he has adapted to our team and to the NFL has been tremendous. We couldn't be happier.''
