No playoffs for 13 years will do that.

So why is that? Is it the city? The franchise? The fact we have sucked for 13 years? Why won't someone make a Reggie White move and come to a small market team?

Could be true, just as many drafted players will be. We have to pick the best player available, IMO, because we do have many holes. If we are not willing to trade up to grab a QB, we need the BPA, unless that player is Richardson.

Whoever goes after him and does not get him will create an interesting subplot going into the season with their current QB.

It's funny because we already have an elite, franchise QB.

Trading up for Coples is dumber than trading a lot of draft picks for RGIII. Oh wait, I thought that was a good idea.

I do. However few have the balls to trade up to get someone they feel could be elite. The Giants did and the results speak for themselves.

Perhaps a reason many are clamoring for a franchise QB. It makes up for a lot of deficiencies elsewhere.

We have a ton of cap space and what's wrong with wanting to score 45 a game? NOTE TO FANS: it's not YOUR money!! If a top player from FA wants to come here, whether he be a punter, WR, OLB, DE or whatever, why not sign him and upgrade your talent?

I have no opinion on the original post, however, the above statement shows how low we have sunk as a fan base and how any nugget thrown our way is clung to with the hope it leads us to the promised land. My question for you is this: what about how Nix has run the team since taking over do you like? Can you be more specific? I don't see how switching to a 3 - 4 without the necessary personnel on the roster, then drafting to fill the glaring 3 - 4 needs we have, then ditching that idea after year two and moving back to a 4 - 3, thus rendering some of the previous draft picks useless has earned the right to be praised. We keep stating how brutal our defense is, with good reason. Who is the reason for that? Look at the stats from 2009 vs. 2011. Rather sobering. Our overall stats are far worse, despite the opponents having the ball almost 3 minutes less in 2011! How is that progress? Sorry, I cannot defend the regime. We are far worse on defense despite being defensive minded in drafts. We can look at the drafted Maybin fiasco all we want, but the numbers are what they are. We are locked in mediocrity and I hope to hell we can find our way out before I die.
