Buffalo Bills: Why Moving on from Ryan Fitzpatrick Is a Must

Typical, amateurish attempt at a comeback when in reality, you have none. -
Buffalo Bills: Why Moving on from Ryan Fitzpatrick Is a Must
Bronc24 replied to Martimus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just curious...are you and Fitz secretly dating or something? I mean, it's fine...I'm Canadian after all and it's all legal and stuff up here, but you will seriously go to any lengths to back Fitz. -
Oh look....another "oh look another bad owner thread" post. If the content of the thread bothers you so much, why read it?

Chan Will NOT Change How He Calls Plays
Bronc24 replied to Bronc24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I suppose that is what really gets to me. Honestly, was anyone jacked when the Bills introduced Chan Gailey as their head coach? Maybe living a couple of thousand miles away from the situation gives me an objective look, but I sure wasn't excited. Where has he "won"? He didn't impress in his stint with the Cowboys (yes, he made the playoffs twice, with Switzer's team, the second year going 8 - 8. He did not win a playoff game either year) and he certainly wasn't outstanding at Georgia Tech (5 years with 7 wins and one year with 9). He was a bargain rate hire and is a bargain rate coach. Coaches under Chan who have become head coaches? Dave Campo. At the same time, our defensive coordinator has an overall 82 - 87 record as a head coach in the NFL, highlited by three decent years in Miami before the wheels fell off with a 1 - 8 start in 2004. He then moved on to Pitt, where he compiled an "impressive" 42 - 31 record. Not what I would call a "winner", by any means. He and Norv have made more money off those JJ led SB victories than I could hope to make in 30 lifetimes. Then, to top it off, we make a 7th round, weak-armed QB with a 4 - 10 career record and a 12 - 17 TD:INT ratio our backup, then starter. He has elevated that won-loss record to a lofty 21 - 38. God knows we have more problems than QB, but it is the most important position on the team in the NFL and we need a winner manning the position (pun intended). Nobody can tell me that when we are needing a big drive late in the game that they have supreme confidence it will turn out well for the Bills. That has to change. Bottom line, we have a loser's mentality. It starts with the owner, permeates down to the front office and coaching staff and down to the players. All any of us want is that attitude to be reversed. It will never happen with the current regime and I am an optimist by nature. -
Bills currently drafting 8th

I am honestly not sure we beat the Jags at home this weekend. I think your 10 - 15 forecast is a tad optimistic (pessimistic?). -

I wonder if a similiar message was posted on the Niners' message board during the 2010 season?

I absolutely agree with you on both your points. -

Who would want to come here to coach anyhow? I am so sick of seeing others hire the Harbaughs of the world while we trot out retread after retread. Can Norv Turner be far away? -
Do the Cowboys ever get flexed?

Now that the season is officially over - 2013 NFL Draft wishlist
Bronc24 replied to bobobonators's topic in College Football
Why does everyone think we will drft 8 - 15? We do everything we can to lose games. What 7 teams will pick ahead of us? Just curious....and too lazy to look. -
Don't you have to lead a team to the playoffs before you can win a playoff game?
-
And I have been vocal about the defense too, but that doesn't fit your argument, so you ignore it.
-
You will make any argument to protect Fitz. So let's put all the cards on the table.....if you were GM of the Bills and Fitz's deal were up at the end of this year, would you sign him long term?

I find a number of things amusing about this interview: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/11/26/chan-gailey-wont-change-how-bills-call-plays/#comments First...even I think that Fitz has a better idea as to how many times CJ should get the ball. Second...don't you want your QB to see what the defense is doing and adjust protection accordingly? Somehow a sideline dictated play call is better than this? Third...You were successful until teams figured out you have a QB who is not accurate beyond 7 yards. This season, I even question the accuracy within 7 yards. Sure, he may get a completion but too often the ball is in a place where the receiver cannot rack up yac. Fourth...the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Chan, you have zero passion on the sideline and you have lost this team. How do you not get fired up over the fumble inside the 5? Or the pass interference call on Gilmore? I don't care if they were right or wrong calls, show some goddamn fire! You think the Harbaugh's care if a call is right or wrong? They work the refs...they fire up their teams. The Wilson / Nix / Gailey regime is old and tired. This FAN BASE DESERVES BETTER!
-
Yet they held Indy to 13 points. You spouted about how many points the offense was scoring and losing....well, how many points does the defense have to hold teams to to win? Your man Fitz looked oh so awesome yet again. Two sure TD's missed on sideline passes yet again.
-
I'm guessing he wouldn't have them at 4 - 7. Now that the defense is improving, who is your new, non-Fitz scapegoat going to be?

And the reason we lost to the Colts was.....

Ndamukong Suh kicks Matt Schaub in groin....
Bronc24 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Not sure if he knew he'd hit him in the groin, but he definitely intended to hit him. -
Very well stated. I guess, to me, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. When we traded up to get Losman, I was hopeful, but not happy. To me, that was a panic move. However I think if you truly know a kid is a special talent at the QB position and is a special person (very important), you have to try and make the move. The universal belief about RGIII is that he was not only special on the field, but off the field as well. It is ludicrous to think this kid would not be a superstar for this franchise. However, once again, we will make silly comparisons to Cam Newton despite the fact they are two completely different players. Anybody who thinks I am jumping on the bandwagon because of a few good games (PTR) had best check my post history. I felt this kid was a special player in college and I think so now. I'd think Redskins nation would agree with me.
