It's not misleading. He leads the league. Period. Nobody outside Bills' fans think this guy is any good. But you can continue looking through your Fitz coloured glasses. I will continue to champion against the consistent mediocrity. I find it interesting that all of Fitz's supporters are suddenly appearing after the stench of his season is in the rear view mirror.

Nobody is ignoring it. Everybody agrees the defense sucks, hence the lack of debate and discussion. Some think Fitz is adequate. Many of us disagree. If you want to talk defense, start a thread about it. This is a Fitz thread wondering why people want Fitz cut, not wondering how we will address the defense.

I suppose I base it on the inevitable fourth quarter turnover that comes when the game is on the line. I guess I base it on the fact that when a game comes down to the wire, I have zero confidence that our QB will pull the game out. I look at the way defenses play our offense and bristle at the total disrespect they give the deep ball, simply because they know we do not have a QB who can complete those passes more than once in a blue moon. Maybe I look at the lack of mechanics when needing to fit a ball into a tight window because without his full body into a throw like a pitcher, Fitz simply does not have the NFL arm strength to get the ball there. I agree we need to upgrade at WR. However, there were several times Stevie was open last year and was missed. There were a number of questionable decisions made by Fitzpatrick. HE LEADS THE LEAGUE IN TOTAL TURNOVERS THE PAST THREE YEARS. To sum up, I don't think Fitz can get a team to the playoffs. Until I'm proved wrong, I will stand by that statement.

I find it amusing you choose to omit Canada from your list of close allies. It pretty much affirms my "dumbass" comment. You seem to believe I want to go 2 - 14 or 6 - 10. Not so. I want us to go 19 - 0. However, our win "ceiling" with Fitzpatrick is such that playoffs are not a possibility. Therefore, if this is a known, why trot him out another year only to decide next offseason it's time to sever the ties, keeping his cap number on the books another year? I'm not convinced T-Jax is worse.....Gailey never gave us a chance to form an opinion. I've stated time and time again that Fitz will not lead us to that promised land, so we should move on. I have also been emphatic that I hoped he'd prove me wrong. I would gladly eat that crow and would be the first to admit I was wrong. However, it just isn't going to happen, so knowing that, let's start yet another new chapter.

I think they all suck and, honestly, I'd take Fitz over the other two. Those of you who know my "Fitz" history understand that's not an easy thing to say. However, in regards to the quote above, I agree 100%. For example, I watched a lot of Landry Jones this season and WANTED him to be good. He has some physical tools, but the intangibles drop through the floor for me. I never saw him firing up his teammates, or leading in a way I'd expect a QB to lead. The Losman pick was pure panic and when you are choosing the most important position on your team for potentially the next decade, you had better do your homework and make sure that guy has intangibles through the roof. If you can't do that, then you pick someone else that can contribute right away in an area of weakness. I hate that the Bills FO always "outsmarts" everybody with picks like Losman, McGahee and the infamous-you-don't-hear-enough-of-this-disaster John McCargo.

A good thing you did, because I'd like to see a link to any post that states Fitz is the "only reason" this team sucks. The offense ranking high could have something to do with the fact we have a pretty damn good backfield. As always, stats are misleading. But as you state, even with a solid defense, we finish no better than 9 - 7. That isn't good enough. If that's where you max out WITH a good defense, then why keep the guy? Cut him, get his cap # off the books for 2014 and move on. If TJax "leads" us to 2 - 14 or 3 - 13, is that really the worse thing to happen? I'd honestly take it over 6 - 10. I'd prefer 11 - 5 or better, but as you state, Fitz won't get us there. Ever.

I won't be disappointed. Making a "splash" is great for the F5'ers of the world, but doesn't always make the best team or business sense. I want them to be active, but I also want them to fill holes and be smart on a cap level.

If Fitz is cut, I'd prefer to use the term "reborn" rather than "rebuild". We have won 16 games in three seasons. Cutting Fitz isn't putting us in any worse position than currently exists. Not cutting him delays the "rebirth" by a year and puts us in the same cap hell next year. That's the real truth.

You can speculate, but you can never know. A solid QB might have turned the fortunes of this franchise around. He may have helped prevent the coaching carousel we have had. He may not. Bottom line is a good QB solves a hell of a lot of problems.

If you know anything about me, keeping Fitz is the last thing I'd ever want for this team.

With this logic, perhaps we should keep Fitzpatrick. It would entertain me on the board for an entire offseason and season, while putting us in position to pick a "franchise" QB. I'm all in.
