The fact he was a Harvard graduate, grew a cool beard, beat the *Patriots once, allegedly ate a 72 oz steak and was relatively better than the other QB slop we have trotted out in the last decade should trump the fact he maxed out at 6 wins a season, could not stretch the field due to a weak arm (a fact opposing defenses repeatedly exploited) and every Bills' fan expected him to make a critical 4th quarter mistake, which he delivered time and time again. 1. Nice guy. 2. A**hole. 3. Winning QB. 4. Losing QB. Fitz was # 1 and 4. I could care less about anything except #3. If a QB does not prove he can win, I do not want him as QB of the Buffalo Bills. It's nothing personal.

Ummmm....wasn't he signed to an extension by the Bills to lock him up as a starting QB? Didn't the Bills ignore the QB position in the draft (see Wilson, Russell) because they thought they had their starting QB? I agree he SHOULD have been our back-up QB, at best, but he was clearly the starter in Buffalo.

I can't argue he was the best QB we have had in 10 years. However, do not confuse "best Buffalo Bills QB in the last 10 years" and "good". His record speaks for itself. Stop looking at that with Fitz coloured glasses.

I agree. It's not like he got Walker / Dockery money. From a lot of the posts here you'd think the Chris Williams signing put us in serious cap trouble. I do have one serious question....is he an upgrade over last year at guard?
