  1. I'm not going to debate or dispute your position, but don't you think the bottom line in all of this is money talks?
  2. Well, you're only 59 posts in, so it's not like you've invested a lot of time or effort. I hear the Seahawks' bandwagon is currently accepting people.....
  3. I'd venture a guess there wouldn't be many "Donald is cheap" threads.
  4. Welp, I guess the period of mourning has officially come to a close.
  5. Probably because the lack of that kind of attitude has led to 14 years without the playoffs. 14 years! We deserve to get excited about something.
  6. If you believe what you read, Ebron's next great block will be his first.
  7. Not completely sold, but I am very glad we went in a different direction at QB. I WANT him to be good, as any Bills' fan does, I'm just not sure he will be. Having said that, he impressed in the last second win over the Panthers and I felt he was getting into a rhythm before being injured vs. the Browns. With what I hope will be a better offensive line, a better receiving corps and a healthy CJ, this year will be a strong indication about whether the Bills' FO got it right. Colour me cautiously optimistic.
  8. As a HS Head Coach and OC, of course I want the skill positions to be top notch. I've gone on record that I would love to see Sammy Watkins in a Bills' uniform. However, as a HC / OC, I also know that success in football starts up front. If an OT drops to us, we simply must take him. The reason is twofold: First, with a young QB, you need a solid offensive line. It doesn't matter if you have a bunch of WR'S to throw to if you don’t have time. Secondly, something not mentioned much here us CJ's lingering ankle injury last season which killed him. With a healthy CJ and Fred, a good OL can dominate in the run game. This makes life a hell of a lot easier for EJ as well. Would I like the Ferrari? Hell yeah. But that means I can't properly function day to day because I can't transport the family (Wait a second....). The game of football is won in the trenches. We desperately need a solid RT and a dominant OL. Sometimes the less "sexy" option is the smartest choice.
  9. This. The moral high ground around here amazes me. We have been the Patriots* female dogs for a decade. Sometimes you have to make a statement that you won't take it any more. Spikes has done that. I see this as something the Bills can rally around rather than "classless". So we piss the Patriots* off? Who cares? This isn't 2007. They're good, but not invincible. The Bills can beat them. Twice.
  10. I think the point being made, which I agree with, is that the maximum # of eligible receivers on any given play is 5 and the Bills will scheme accordingly when Spikes is on the field. Brady can "exploit Spikes" in coverage all he wants, but if the scheme never gives him that responsibility, it's a moot point.
  11. Absolutely love it. We need to turn the mindset around. Pissing off *Pats fans is just gravy.
  12. Because I don't believe the value at TE when compared to what will be available is worth a top ten pick.
  13. I would be absolutely shocked if we pick a TE at 9.
  14. Great post. What a great story if this thing gets turned around. I hope it does and I hope he reaps the praise when it does.
  15. x2. I am a fan of Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman as well.
  16. I am a huge Manziel fan but 2 ones and 2 twos is too much. I would sit where we are, draft well and see what falls to us. If we get decent play from Manuel...this team can be good.
  17. I'm not sure why this is a Canadian / American thing. Yes, the writer is Canadian and writes for the Toronto Star, but painting every Canadian with the same brush as this loser is wrong. 99.9% of Canadians don't even know who this person is, let alone share their views. Again, it's the Star, which has about as much credibility as the Weekly World News.
  18. First of all, the guy is a Star columnist which, even as a western Canadian, cries "sensationalism" and "ill-informed". The Star is well known for personal vendettas and classless opinions. Offensive? Absolutely. However when I consider the source, all I can do is shake my head and not let some chianti drinking pencil neck's column define the legacy of Mr. Wilson.
  19. Never happen. Canadians are pretty passionate about keeping their game how it is.
  20. I prefer the Bills stay. Having said that, if they don't, I will stick with the franchise.
  21. The outpouring of fondness and stories of greatness say it all....Hall of Fame Owner, Hall of Fame person. RIP.
