  1. "We took _______ and ________ was still on the board???????"
  2. The game is supposedly available on the Sabre Channel (1092). However, the Sabres Pregame is only listed on 1093, and it's 1/2 an hour
  3. NGU, thanks for the "vine"... Anything about Dallas trying to trade up with us for Von Miller? That's the latest rumor I've heard, and frankly, I'd rather stay where we are and take anybody rather than trading down that far.
  4. -->For a top 3 OT, you have to be at #20, right above KC/Indy. That's 850, or our 2nd (550) and 3rd (255). Not worth it. -->For a top 4 QB, get ahead of Miami by trading into #14. That's 1100 points. Not happening. -->For Kaepernick-Dalton, stay where we are in the 2nd. I don't see the run on QB's over the talent teams would have to pass up, trust me. Taking 2nd tier QB's over late first guys like Castonzo, Martez, Sheard, Solder, Wisniewski would be insanity. We'd be better off trading down. Let the wild rumpus start!
  5. Here's why Bellycheat won't be calling. NEP* reluctantly trades its 17, 28, and 33 to the Bills for a shot at AJ Green. DAY 1 1 1 Carolina Cameron Newton QB 1 2 Denver Marcell Dareus DT43 1 3 New England Nick Fairley DE34 1 4 Cincinnati A.J. Green WRF 1 5 Arizona Blaine Gabbert QB 1 6 Cleveland Von Miller OLB43 1 7 San Francisco Patrick Peterson CB 1 8 Tennessee Da'Quan Bowers DE43 1 9 Dallas Tyron Smith OT 1 10 Washington Jake Locker QB 1 11 Houston Robert Quinn OLB34 1 12 Minnesota Julio Jones WRF 1 13 Detroit Prince Amukamara CB 1 14 St Louis Cameron Jordan DE43 1 15 Miami Ryan Mallett QB 1 16 Jacksonville Ryan Kerrigan DE43 1 17 Buffalo J.J. Watt DE34 1 18 San Diego Muhammad Wilkerson DE34 1 19 NY Giants Corey Liuget DT43 1 20 Tampa Bay Justin Houston OLB34 1 21 Kansas City Derek Sherrod OT 1 22 Indianapolis Gabe Carimi OT 1 23 Philadelphia Jimmy Smith CB 1 24 New Orleans Aldon Smith DE43 1 25 Seattle Brandon Harris CB 1 26 Baltimore Leonard Hankerson WRF 1 27 Atlanta Anthony Castonzo OT 1 28 Buffalo Martez Wilson ILB 1 29 Chicago Nate Solder OT 1 30 NY Jets Jabaal Sheard OLB34 1 31 Pittsburgh Stefen Wisniewski OG 1 32 Green Bay Jason Pinkston OT Buffalo now has shored up DE and ILB, and has the first two picks on Friday night. Now on sale, in case a team didn't fill a top need and wants to trade with the Bills: -Mark Ingram RB -Mason Foster ILB -Phil Taylor DT34 -Stephen Paea DT43 -Brooks Reed OLB34 -Aaron Williams CB -Davon House CB -Jason Pinkston OG -Christian Ponder QB -Colin Kaepernick QB -Andy Dalton QB -Kyle Rudolph TE San Francisco and Tennessee, Minnesota, Seattle, and yeah, Buffalo still need a QB. Seattle knows the last of them will be gone by Buffalo's next pick and wants to trade. The price just went up.
  6. We don't have Jones or Green getting out of the Top 9.
  7. Another scenario mentioned was a team trading up for AJ Green or Julio Jones. That's most likely Minnesota at 12, or St. Louis at 14. Both have WR as a top priority (Evans?) Anyway... Minnesota doesn't have a 3rd Rounder, and their #12 and #41 won't cut it. St. Louis has picks in the first 5 rounds. We'll take their #14, #47, and #78, netting 6 picks in the Top 100. If you trade Evans for the #12, you can add Cameron Jordan or Costanzo to the list! 1 14 Buffalo Nick Fairley DE34 Auburn 2 34 Buffalo Mason Foster ILB Washington 2 47 Buffalo Andy Dalton QB TCU 3 68 Buffalo D.J. Williams TE Arkansas 3 78 Buffalo Jerrell Powe DT34 Mississippi 4 100 Buffalo Casey Matthews ILB Oregon 4 122 Buffalo Chimdi Chekwa CB Ohio State 5 133 Buffalo Ricky Elmore OLB34 Arizona 6 169 Buffalo Jermale Hines FS Ohio State 7 206 Buffalo Lee Ziemba OT Auburn 7 245 Buffalo Alex Henery PK Nebraska
  8. Buffalo to #10 is 900 points, which is two 2nd's minimum. Washington does not have a 3rd or 4th rounder, but if they are willing to give us a second and fifth this year and a 3rd next year (iffy), Here's what it'd look like in a DraftTek Sim, and I'd go for that. 1 10 Buffalo Cameron Jordan DE34 California P3Grab +0 Value 2 34 Buffalo Mason Foster ILB Washington P2 -1 Reach 2 41 Buffalo Kyle Rudolph TE Notre Dame P3O +8 Value 3 68 Buffalo Andy Dalton QB TCU P1 +9 Value 4 100 Buffalo James Carpenter OT Alabama P3 +7 Value 4 122 Buffalo Kenrick Ellis DT34 Hampton P2 -4 Reach 5 133 Buffalo Jalil Brown CB Colorado P3 -5 Reach 5 144 Buffalo Dom DeCicco SS Pittsburgh P4R +2 Value 6 169 Buffalo Shiloh Keo FS Idaho P4R -2 Reach 7 206 Buffalo Jah Reid OT Central Florida P4R +5 Value 7 245 Buffalo Roy Helu RB Nebraska P4 +13 Value
  9. It's a great draft. I would be stoked if this was the way it turned out. WJ Wright will likely go earlier because there will be a run on ILB's. but the rest are dead on, I think--really well thought out. DJ Williams is also a great guy, great teammate and pretty dam funny.
  10. http://drafttek.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/550-eugenes-draft-database/ Scroll Down to Wide Receivers. Not a big area of need for the Bills, but we think the Bills could pick a WR late (RD7) or in UDFA because there is value there.
  11. I have the results of this evening's DraftTek Mock in front of me. We will take Von Miller in RD1, but two names at RD2 are so close it's really a vote. If Miller is picked in RD1, who would you prefer in RD2?
  12. At this point, Modrak-Nix are so gun-shy, this won't be a Alualu pick; it will be the "safest" pick, BPA-style. No icons, no character issues, no penalty-drawing guy. They have to hit a home run. Round 1 Bills Board is Dareus, Miller, Peterson, Green, in that order. If I needed to make picks that are 16+ slots below our Big Board, they would be: RD1---none; safe pick RD2---Colin Kaepernick, 22 pick Reach RD3---Jarvis Jenkins, DE, 19 pick Reach RD4A--Kenrick Ellis, NT, 26 pick Reach or Pernell McPhee DE34, 19 pick Reach RD4B--Quinton Carter, Safety, 34 pick Reach RD5---Shiloh Keo, Safety, 38 Pick Reach RD6---Scott Tolzien QB, 22 point Reach RD7A--Karl Klug, DE, 31 pick Reach (Klug is a Caledonia grad) RD7B--Willie Smith, OT, 31 pick Reach
  13. Green is exactly who the Bills need as a change of pace back. He's a bruiser with some speed and hands. Great comment about his blocking, which is less an issue at Hawaii. Wonder if he likes snow. Astro
  14. Running Backs Scroll Down. I'd be looking for a big RB late in the draft to complement CJ and FJ.
  15. Great article, Joe! Well thought out. I think we can expect anything on Thursday night.
  16. I think you're right, but I sure hope we entertain trade offers from those directly below us before turning in the card.
  17. Which means Von Miller/ Peterson with Kyle Rudolph / Mason Foster / Brooks Reed / Aaron Williams as 2nd round low-risk. Both Miller and Peterson are 90%-plus successes guaranteed. In that second-round group, I'd put Foster and Reed at 90%, with Rudolph / Williams a little lower. Wouldn't it make sense to go OLB-ILB given that the upside of Newton/Gabbert is 50-50?
  18. Starts at LT:22, Starts at RT:0 I'd see him as value pick at RD4#100.
  19. Read this article. Quinn is seen by many as a scheme fit for a hybrid, and he is the BPA at that pick. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2011/4/21/2122690/2011-nfl-draft-robert-quinn-buffalo-bills
  20. On our simulation right now the 9 value picks are (in order of value on our Big Board): --Mason Foster ILB --Christian Ponder QB --Stephen Paea DT43 --Brooks Reed OLB34 --Aaron Williams CB --Christian Ballard DE34 --Jason Pinkston OG --Colin Kaepernick QB --Kyle Rudolph TE Regardless of who you picked at #3, take Mason Foster ILB (Martez went to GB at #32). The only other choice in my mind is Ponder-Kaepernick depending on which one the Bills rank higher (Ponder I'm guessing)
  21. Quarterbacks For those of you with time, this is a wonderful source that Eugene Stasak, DraftTek's Big Board guru, just posted. This one deals with QB's, which he has divided into 5 tiers. Astro
