  1. Fitz is 5th in completion percentage (min. 600 throws); Dalton is 18th. Fitz is 12th in NFL rating (min. 600 throws); Dalton is 14th. Fitz is 16th in yards gained per attempt (min. 600 throws); Dalton is tied at 16th. Fitz is 7th in TD's; Dalton is 11th. Dalton is 9th in passes dropped; Fitz is 25th.
  2. Yep. In PFF Total Rating, he's 12th((Newton=6th), Completion Percentage (min. 600 throws) he's 5th (Newton=14th), and NFL Rating (min. 600 throws) he's 12th (Newton=25th).
  3. You're right. Looking at all snaps, The Bills have ZERO 3-4 OLB's in the top 57 (Barnett is the 22nd rated 4-3OLB). MIA has 5, NYJ has 3 in the Top 25 (Maybin, Pace, McIntyre) and 5 overall. NEP has 3 (Mayo, Ninkovich, Guyton). In the 3-4DE department, the Bills have ZERO in the top 63. MIA has 7, NYJ has 6. In the 4-3DE department, NEP's Anderson and Carter are #14 and #22 respectively. The Bills have: #37 Kelsay #46 Moats #50 Eddins #57 Coleman #83 Batten #92 Merriman #98 Carrington #106 S Johnson (who is our best DE at run defense at #37). Astro
  4. Done. OLB (Priority 1, Multiple, changing to P3 after we select first one) CB (Priority 2) OG (Priority 2) WR (Priority 2) OT (Priority 3) This will be a deep draft for WR, but I still see them taking one of the bigger, better ones.
  5. I am using the information in this thread to populate Positional Needs for Drafttek's 4-Round mock draft next week. I turn in the results Sunday night. Looks like OLB (Priority 1, Multiple) CB (Priority 2) OG (Priority 2) WR (Priority 3) OT (Priority 3) What about TE? Astro
  6. ^^^^^This^^^^^^ Not to mention our automatic-from-under-40-yards FG kicker.
  7. "Cast off" is exactly what I think of. Troup is an we'll be filling in the draft with this guy, Worthy, or Ta'Amu:
  8. I am taking the plight of the American Bison on as a personal crusade. Please buy this brand of chips to help the cause: http://bit.ly/kNzpvB
  9. The Bills better start scouting the Pac-12 more, with the likes of Chip Kelly, Lane Kiffin, Steve Sarkisian, Rich Rodriguez, and the possibility of Kevin Sumlin as coaches. My best to the Senator!
  10. Spiller was leading the NFL in yards after contact per attempt before this last game. Over.
  11. The computer picked Dennard (CB) and Bruce Irvin (OLB) based on our positional needs. That's Nebraska and West Virginia. But I think we'll draft at least one WR, and a RB that's strong in blitz pickup, too. Last night I did research for DraftTek on the blocking ability of the 2012 running backs. The four RB's that rose to the top in that area are Trent Richardson, Alabama (not going to happen), Doug Martin, Boise State (could happen in RD2-3, Isaiah Pead, Cincinnati (maybe RD4), and Cyrus Gray, Texas A&M (later). I love watching Boise State games and am pretty entertained by A&M. Astro Bills Analyst, www.DraftTek.com
  12. I totally agree. I have the Bills taking one in the 1st and one in the fourth RD1=OLB-Premier Pass Rusher(Courtney Upshaw/Whitney Mercilus/) RD2=CB-Starter(Minnifield),#2WR(Jeff Fuller/Nick Toon),OLB(Irvin,Paige-Moss) RD3=QB-Mobile and Accurate(T Wilson, K Moore, R Griffin) RD4=WR(A.J.Jenkins/Kendall Wright/Marvin McNutt) RD4=OLB Donte Paige-Moss RD5=DE (Izaan Cross) RD6=OT depth (Markus Zucevics,Oglesby) RD7=TE(George Bryan),#3RB(Bobby Rainey,Edwin Baker)
  13. I suggest we take Josh Chapman, Alabama's Nose Tackle and Dareus's sidekick, or WR Michael Floyd in RD#1, and follow up with Vinny Curry, Marshall's OLB34, in RD#2. If we haven't taken a WR by RD#3, take AJ Jenkins from Illinois.
  14. After a pass rusher, I think WR is the Bills' number 2 draft priority. I've made that change on our Positional Needs, which means that tackle, wide receiver, and cornerback are all tied for 2nd-highest priority to a pass-rushing OLB34, which remains our P1 priority. The computer takes the BPA from the P2's available in the 2nd round, then checks P2's in RD3 that haven't been filled. We can't say that we have a #1 WR right now. Our depth is lacking; I'm almost thinking we should take more than one WR. Not seeing Donald Martin, Ruvell Jones, Marcus Easley, or Kamar Aiken as even making an NFL team. Talk me off the ledge on this one if you want. Astro Bills Analyst, www.DraftTek.com
  15. Got that right. That 4th rounder right now could be your pick of: --Kellen Moore QB Boise St --Brandon Boykin CB Georgia --Brandon Mosley OT Auburn --Tavon Austin WR West Virginia
  16. Yeah, but you were going to anyway. If the Bills win tomorrow you have to buy a man-purse.
  17. Spiller is #1 in the NFL in YACPA yards (yards after contact per attempt). source
  18. Bills are still ranked #5 in overall offense, and the Texans are above us with IR'ed QB. Bills are #2 in Pass Blocking to the Titans. Bills are #7 in run-blocking. Levitre is #3 among LG's in the NFL in overall score, and #2 in run blocking. Urbik's #6 overall, and the #4 RG in pass blocking. Levitre-Urbik are #1 and #2 in the NFL in screen blocking. Bills offense is #1 in least penalties. No Bills WR is in the Top 50 in # of penalties. Stevie Johnson is #13 in receiving. Jackson left the year at #1 rating overall, #2 receiving to ray Rice, and #1 in blocking. Spiller is #1 in the NFL in Yards After Contact Per Attempt. Jackson was #3. Sproles was #2. DBell is still #17 of 74 tackles in blocking. Jets tackles Hunter-Ferguson combined for 14 sacks allowed. If we had a pass rusher, that'd be great. In the Top 20 Guards, only one (Rinehardt) has played 2 positions. Wood is #7 at OC, and only 1 above him is younger. 4 of those above him have birthdays in the early 1980's and 2 were born in the '70's. Not So Hot: -->No Bills WR has a positive downfield blocking score. -->Chandler is the Bills' best TE at #26. -->Fitz has fallen from #4 QB to #15 in overall rating; he's the #33 running QB.(But #5 in completion %). -->Pears is highest OT in pressures allowed with 13. D-Brick and Bulaga also have 13 each. (But Hairston-Bell have 5 total). -->The Bills do not have a 3-4DE in the top 66 in overall rating. NEP doesn't either. NYJ has FIVE in the top 20. -->The Bills do not have a OLB34 in the top 57 in overall rating. NYJ have 3 in the top 25; Maybin is #15.
  19. If I had to guess their direction, based on who seems to be there at pick ~#14 right now, I'd say (in my best-guess order): RD1=OLB-Premier Pass Rusher(Courtney Upshaw/Whitney Mercilus/), solid CB (Alfonzo Dennard/Janoris Jenkins) RD2=CB-Starter(Minnifield),#2WR(Jeff Fuller/Nick Toon),Pass Rush DE(Devon Still,Guyton),OLB(Irvin,Paige-Moss) RD3=QB-Mobile Accurate(T Wilson, K Moore, R Griffin),CB (Fletcher,Boykin),OT (Nate Potter),OLB Alex Okafor) RD4=OC depth(Vlachos,Brewster),DE(Trevor Guyton),WR(A.J.Jenkins/Kendall Wright/Marvin McNutt) RD4=OT (Brandon Mosley),WR if BPA (A.J.Jenkins/Kendall Wright/Marvin McNutt),CB (Shaun Prater,Leonard Johnson) RD5=DE (Izaan Cross), TE (Lutzenkirchen,Deangelo Peterson, Linthicum), #2RB (Martin-BoiseSt/Dan Herron) RD6=WR (Jermaine Kearse,Jordan White),OC depth (Saulsberry, Molk),OT depth (Markus Zucevics,Oglesby) RD7=CB-Dime(Keith Tandy),TE(George Bryan),WR(Cobi Hamilton),#3RB(Bobby Rainey,Edwin Baker)
  20. I don't think we will see if Spiller is the real deal until he has a line blocking for him. Nobody is in their natural position that made Jackson #2 in rushing.
  21. Welcome. I wondered why you posted this immediately above a post on the same topic. However, I agree with what you say for the most part. I'm sticking with Nix b/c of his success with players like Stevie, like Urbik, in late rounds and FA. According to ProFootballFocus.com, the Bills' offense remains in 5th place overall, so I'm keeping the offensive coaches and Gailey. I'm getting a new trainer (hamstring injuries shouldn't happen), I'm getting a RT out of this draft (Datko? Marcel Jones? Ricky Wagner? Kelechi Osemele?) and getting Woods and Bell healthy for OC and LT (Bell graded out higher than D'Brick or Jake Long but had 1/2 the snaps). Urbik would play RG and Levitre slides back to LG. The original line graded out Get one more WR in the draft, and make sure he can block downfield. I may not pay Jackson, but it would be a classy move. I like your idea about bringing in a Gailey-style spread QB; Case Keenum is excellent in the spread, but only weighs 210. I'd take Robert Griffin, whose brains and athleticism fit Chan's system, but if we want pass rush in the draft, don't count on a QB pick who's ready for the NFL (still could be a FA--Brees may test the waters). On the defense, we're missing Kyle Williams. Carrington will be a beast with Kyle back in there. We need 1-2 OLB34's early in the draft (Upshaw? Mercilus? Bruce Irvin? Jenkins?) and/or in FA (Jon Beason? Mario Williams?) who can rush the passer. Plays are being made in the middle against us b/c we're using too many players to hurry the QB, and b/c Shep/Batten/Moats/Carrington/Searcy are learning (Searcy is PFF's #1 defender in pass coverage over the middle). Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. This is still a 3 year plan that's acquiring pieces to the puzzle. Our strongest spot on defense is safety. Searcy, Barnett, Scott, Sheppard, and Moats are #1-#5 overall on PFF's grading system. Spencer Johnson has been our most consistent DE (Dareus is still learning and played DT which affected his numbers). Worst on the same list are Kelsay and Edwards, so don't be surprised if a FA (Robert Mathis?) and a drafted DE (Kendall Reyes in RD2, Billy Winn RD2-3, Trevor Guyton RD2) are brought in for next year.
  22. I am thankful first and foremost for Pam, creative wife Who for more than 40 years has been the highlight of my life, And I’m thankful for Mike and Ryan, whose best choices they still hold: Their spouses, Michelle and Jenny, make us wealthier than gold, For our oldest grandchild, Annie, who, on behalf of pets, Puts her actions where her heart is, with food and warmth and vets, For our first grandson, Emerson, a playful, funny sort With a mechanical direction, and who plays any kind of sport, I’m thankful for Miss Reese, who seems to know just what she needs, She builds, she rides, she gardens, cooks, she loves her Nash, and leads. Nash makes us thankful for his calmness, strength, and new traits to be unfurled, We’re just thankful we have 4 cool grandkids; wouldn’t trade them for the world! I am grateful that Great Gram and Pop got to see all of us grow, For Indian Lake, our backyard woods, winter skiing on Snow Ridge snow, Fond memories with siblings Mark, Glenn, and Carol, playing at #16, Conesus Lake, and Linfoots, Letchworth, Scouts, and #916. I’m thankful I could sing and play both Martin and Spalding guitars With Mike, Annie, Dorie, Rob, and Bob; In certain moments, we were stars. Thankful I am for Munyans, Fitters, MARS, my closest friends, We’re loyal, helpful, joyful buddies, whose friendship never ends, I've been blessed to be a Bills fan, through victories and epic fails, It's taught me Loyalty's not cast off when you discover what it entails, I feel blessed to have traveled West with my kids twice in decked-out vans, To our Adirondack woods, our Finger Lakes wineries, get Caribbean tans, But no place compares with being with Family; that’s closest to my heart, Thanks be to God for All of Us, where Love and Thanksgiving starts.
  23. What I don't get is the love for Burfict. I think it's possible that a wild card like Burfict could become a team player, but why would anyone chance it? The risk is a lame penalty on any opponent's drive. He's good, but I'd take Kuechly (31-game double-digit tackle streak) over Burfict, who singlehandedly lost the Stanford game last year (facemask then unsportsmanlike penalties back to back), struggles academically, and was benched by Erickson for his high penalty rate.
