  1. PFF Rating this year: George Wilson: 4 positively-rated games Donte Whitner: 11 positively-rated games Byrd: 11 positively-rated games
  2. Jeff Allen is a good pick-up on that list. He's probably drifting up from RD5 to our RD4A--right where we ought to be thinking about OT depth if Bell signs.
  3. That's actually a great point, BB. Brockers is a Dareus--DE or DT. I'd like a trade-down with San Diego at #16. They want ILB badly and will want to move up for Kuechly. In return, we'd get their RD2 and we'd switch places in RD3. It works out for both of us: 1 10 San Diego Luke Kuechly ILB Boston College 1 18 Buffalo Melvin Ingram or Michael Brockers (both are there) 2 42 Buffalo Ronnell Lewis OLB43 Oklahoma 2 49 Buffalo Zebrie Sanders OT or Cam Johnson DE43 Virginia 3 74 San Diego Philip Blake OG Baylor 3 79 Buffalo Nick Toon WRF Wisconsin 4 105 Buffalo Brian Linthicum TE Michigan State or Egnew--both there 4 110 San Diego Nick Foles QB Arizona 4 124 Buffalo Marcus Forston DT43 Miami 5 137 Buffalo Jordan White WRP Western Michigan 5 141 San Diego Brandon Lindsey OLB34 Pittsburgh 6 169 Buffalo Mychal Kendricks ILB California 6 172 San Diego Kevin Koger TE Michigan 7 200 Buffalo Keith Tandy CB West Virginia 7 225 Buffalo Patrick Witt QB Yale
  4. Throw another $3.4m in when you release Dwan Edwards. I'll bet the release happens either right before or right after they sign a FA OLB43 like one of these 5: * is PFF rating last number is number of plays they were on the field for Erin Henderson-------MIN-----21.7*---590 Jarret Johnson---------BAL-----18.5----771 Mario Williams--------HOU-----10.4----225 Manny Lawson----------CIN-----10.2----489 Anthony Spencer---------DAL-----10.1----939 Philip Wheeler---------IND------9.3----537
  5. I have Pead going after our RD3 selection but before our RD4. That might be too early to take a RB. Late Round RB's that I like: RD6--Terrance Ganaway RBF Baylor---big bruiser for a thunder-lightning combo RD67-Lennon Creer RBF Louisiana Tech RD6--Tauren Poole RBF Tennessee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64f9yxOr-t4
  6. Yeah, "Other" I don't think lets you specify. Do it, though!
  7. My man Tom Compton (who we had in RD5 mocks) did well on the 40 yard dash.Adam Gettis is the Iowa RG (Reiff is the LT). Cordy Glenn will no longer make it to our pick in RD2. Philip Blake is RG3's Center, possibly there at RD3. OFFENSIVE LINEMEN Adam Gettis, Iowa - 4.91 Cordy Glenn, Georgia - 4.96 Tom Compton, South Dakota - 5.03 Philip Blake, Baylor - 5.09 Rishaw Johnson, California (PA) - 5.15 Jeff Allen, Illinois - 5.16 James Brown, Troy - 5.18 Tony Bergstrom, Utah - 5.19 Andrew Datko, Florida State - 5.22 Michael Brewster, Ohio State - 5.25 Justin Anderson, Georgia - 5.28 Mike Adams, Ohio State - 5.31 Kelvin Beachum, SMU - 5.31 John Cullen, Utah - 5.32 David DeCastro, Stanford - 5.34 Lamar Holmes, Southern Miss - 5.35 Taylor Dever, Notre Dame - 5.41 Ben Jones, Georgia - 5.41 Garth Gerhart, Arizona State - 5.44
  8. Ingram hasn't been taken. Great question. Thinking of voting for "Other"?
  9. My only wish is that Griffin would make more passes off a strong base--he has poor footwork. I'd move up for Luck at 2 if the Colts make the RG3 mistake, but would let the draft come to me at #10 if Luck is gone.
  10. Thanks. I'm writing those evaluationssincerely, based on the way I feel about the pick assigned by the computer. I like Mercilus for the reasons stated. Menzie, the CB, is appearing on boards from RD4 to UDFA. Because he was opposite FitzPOTrick, he saw a lot more passes coming his way than FitzPOTrick, and that's why he has the most pass breakups (PBU) on the team--11 for the season. He has gret ball skills, too. Watch this tipped pass to himself! Because of the McGee restructuring, I think 3rd-4th round is when we'll see CB being taken this year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H2lH2aAAVI
  11. Are you in a land that serves fatty foods like chicken wings? Agree. I'd also say that about Sanu and Fuller. How good is the QB throwing to him? If this is a factor, I'm discounting Blackmon b/c Weeden is throwing to him, Juron Criner with Foles, and Kendall Wright with Griffin throwing to him. I'm elevating Jeffery.
  12. I'm a private school teacher who does a lot of learning style and admissions testing, and have to weigh in on this. The Wonderlic isn't authentic and predictive enough. The challenge for test preparers is to make the test authentic (as similar to the tasks you'll be asking the test-taker to do) and predictive (If your learning environment is lecture, you'll want to give a test of Memory for Sentences, because the results will be predictive of whether the test-taker can handle the auditory and language load. In football, an authentic, predictive cognitive measure of football players' success might include: - short-term memory for plays ("Repeat this for me: 'Z-slot right, Y go, 2 pass option right on 3' ") - working memory (Say these letters in order, then the numbers in order: 3K9B5X - listening comprehension etc. Astro
  13. I plan on doing far more drinking, for example.
  14. Boy, that would change the draft significantly if pass rush were off the table!!! One neat feature of DraftTek's Simulator is that you can change the team needs before running it. http://drafttek.com/new%20simulator/frminput2.aspx Click on the "9", then click on the DE43 box in the Bills' row. The box turns red and becomes a 9. Hit Proceed 3x (unless you want to GRAB a player) then click Exportable Version. I like the results!
  15. On the right hand side of the home page are the choices that have dropped to the Bills at #10 in our annual Reader Poll, and it's the Bills' pick. http://www.drafttek.com/ Have Fun! Astro
  16. OK, I'm in...put KirkPOTrick in your sig mock, and take Linthicum TE or Nate Potter OT at 4A. A very good draft!
  17. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/drafttek/2012/02/24/on-the-clock My Bills talk begins at 31:19 and talks about Bills needs, and directions we could go in the first few rounds. I'm being interviewed by Rick McGlothlin on our new DraftTek internet radio station. I was nervous, and spaced on Johnny White's name near the end. Astro
  18. I like Audie Cole. I hadn't put him on many mock drafts as we considered him a ILB. But the more I read of him, the more I like. The best thing to like is that he could be available in RD3. Icould see the Bllls going DE OLB then Cole. Love the mock in your sig line, BB. Trumaine CB is a steal.
  19. I was talking with a draft guy the other day who said Burfict could play SILB in the 3-4 and OLB in the 4-3. I was saying that Burfict is ranked too low as a 4-3 guy in RD1and too high to be there at rd2 given the need for ILB this year. I don't think Nix was sending up a smokescreen by saying Shep is our ILB, and I'm happy with Shep. He will be better than Burfict will be over the next 5 years. Better than Poz, too, BTW.
  20. I am reminded of what Nix said last month, because it's still echoing here:
  21. I think our need for CB just slipped down a bit, so I lowered our positional need to P4 at DraftTek. A simulation from DraftTek using these new positional needs, plus analysts' grabs and lockouts, gives us a choice of Mercilus and Upshaw at #10. Coples went to Miami at #8. Bills take their DE first, OLB second, and OT third: 1 Courtney Upshaw DE43 Alabama 2 Ronnell Lewis OLB43 Oklahoma 3 Brandon Mosley OT Auburn 4 Brian Linthicum TE Michigan State 4 Chris Givens WRF Wake Forest 5 Ryan Steed CB Furman 5 James-Michael Johnson ILB Nevada 6 Jacory Harris QB Miami 7 Julian Miller DE43 West Virginia Some really good talent there. Lewis is the sideline to sideline guy Nix talks about, and Ryan Steed is a decent later round CB. Best late pick is James-Michael Johnson who would be solid backup.
  22. I've amended our Positional Needs on Drafttek based on the results here. Great questions! I moved DE to our prime need for next week rather than put OLB and DE as top needs. Due to the McGee restructuring, I lowered CB to P4. I'm tempted to put a GRAB in on Coples; if he's still not picked, we'd get him. BTW, I voted sign Stevie, take Ingram; and DE (pass rush) is #1 need. Astro
  23. Nope, you are right. I might add that Reiff was a great wrestler in the NCAA tournament and everything. most drafts have Kalil ahead of Reiff, but I respect Mayock...and wrestling...
