  1. This should serve as evidence that Fuller, Tannehills WR, should be considered in the5th round. I will put a GRAB in on Tannehill for RD3 in the next Mock. Check tomorrow, I thi they're running one with the new FA signings. astro
  2. Bills' Tradeback Draft: Bills trade with Cincinnati for their 17 and 21. Cincy gets Trent Richardson and the Bills: Round Pick Team Selection Psn School 1 1 Indianapolis Andrew Luck QB Stanford 1 2 Washington Robert Griffin QB Baylor 1 3 Minnesota Matt Kalil OT USC 1 4 Cleveland Justin Blackmon WRF Oklahoma State 1 5 Tampa Bay Morris Claiborne CB LSU 1 6 St Louis Riley Reiff OT Iowa 1 7 Jacksonville Michael Floyd WRF Notre Dame 1 8 Miami Quinton Coples DE43 North Carolina 1 9 Carolina Fletcher Cox DT43 Mississippi St 1 10 Cincinnati Trent Richardson RBF Alabama 1 11 Kansas City David DeCastro OG Stanford 1 12 Seattle Courtney Upshaw DE43 Alabama 1 13 Arizona Mike Adams OT Ohio State 1 14 Dallas Dontari Poe DT34 Memphis 1 15 Philadelphia Luke Kuechly ILB Boston College 1 16 NY Jets Mark Barron SS Alabama 1 17 Buffalo Jonathan Martin OT Stanford 1 18 San Diego Whitney Mercilus OLB34 Illinois 1 19 Chicago Melvin Ingram DE43 South Carolina 1 20 Tennessee Andre Branch DE43 Clemson 1 21 Buffalo Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama
  3. We just submitted comments on another mock draft, which will be posted tomorrow here. Here are the picks down to Buffalo's: 1 Indianapolis Andrew Luck QB Stanford 2 Washington Robert Griffin QB Baylor 3 Minnesota Matt Kalil LOT USC 4 Cleveland Tr. Mercilus--DE43-----Illinois Zach Brown------OLB43----North Carolina Courtney Upshaw-DE43/OLB-Alabama Dre Kirkpatrick-CB-------Alabama Mark Barron-----SS-------Alabama We have Kirkpatrick to CIN at #17, and Janoris Jenkins slipping to [gag] the Cheatriots at #31. I like Jenkins on-field resume for the Bills--he's quick, changes direction effortlessly, has the verticality to compensate for being about 2" shorter than Kirkpatrick, and he's talking like a reformed schoolboy. How Claiborne could fall to us, eh? It's very unlikely: (1) You have to get T-Bay, St. Louis, and Jacksonville to trade out of their spots for more picks; they always take Claiborne in the simulator if Claiborne is there. (2) You can't have either of them trade to Cincinnati for their twin first rounders, because they'll come up and take Claiborne. (3) PGH, SEA, BAL, NYG are least likely to draft CB, so those teams have to be the ones trading up. (4) SEA wants DE really bad (especially since we took Mario). SEA will want to leapfrog CAR, MIA, and BUF who'll sap the choice of pass rush. SEA trades up to T-Bay for their 2nd RD. (5) PGH trades up for Luke Kuechly, and BAL trades up for Hightower, each surrendering their RD2. 4. This is exactly what we want. Picking Tannehill drops their other needs --WR, DE and OT-- to the Bills.
  5. You can delete your vote and it will let you vote for multiple players now. Norman is a good CB that attracted a lot of attention Senior Bowl week, as he's from Coastal Carolina. Here are the notes on him: ---size, fluid, good hands ---unknown small school corner ---wore a Pitt helmet the first day b/c his got lost in the mail ---By the end of the week, he was being talked about by every scout and tweeted about by every media member. ---Norman is a plus run defender ---superb ballhawk. ---prefers to play the quarterback's eyes before he plays his man. Sounds like a perfect zone defender to me. ---Defensive Game Ball--Josh Norman ---made a number of plays on the ball that drew oos and ahhs We did take a DE by now. His first name is Mario
  6. RD1-Jonathan Martin, LT RD2-Alshon Jeffery, WR RD3-Ronnell Lewis, OLB You now have your basic needs covered...or do you? What about depth at CB? another S? are you okay with your linebacking corps? Your 1 man band at TE? What if Wood goes out again? Should you grab your #3 QB? You're on the clock. Astro
  7. So you'll gamble on Chandler Jones (another DE) but not Ronnell Lewis at a position of need? OK...Round 3 is closed, and the majority rules.
  8. We will have to decide if we need a Strongside Inside LB who can really cover sideline to sideline , which Travis Lewis is, or take OLB here. BTW, Ronnell Lewis is a hitter. YouTube his hits. I also think Jake Bequette and George Iloka are superb value here. Plus Chandler, as DE quality starts to go south after next round. Trevor Guyton would be the best bet in RD4.
  9. RD1-Jonathan Martin LT RD2-Alshon Jeffery WR Strong draft so far. You now have pass rush and O-line, plus a playmaking WR. Keep it going! Round 3 will end tomorrow at 4:00pm EST. You're on the Clock. Astro
  10. Irvin at OLB is a savvy pick. His sideline to sideline ability is bar none. He leapfrogged Zach Brown, who I'd think will be going to a 3-4 scheme. Irvin is listed as a 4-3 DE here, but he has the lateral speed to serve in versatile ways. Jeffery's separation is suspect, but anyone who's watched film won't deny his ability to catch balls in traffic.
  11. Jonathan Martin LT is selected in Round 1. 12. agree. There is nothing left in the tackle market that has more upside than Jonathan Martin. However, Martin may be seen as less value than Floyd. We have Floyd as the 12th best player in the draft and Martin at 25.
  13. Williams will play LDE, according to my source.
  14. Carrington also would be the best at setting the edge in run situations.
  15. Thanks, Labatt. I will drink you in a minute! Would people prefer Kuechly (listed on several draft sites as the ~7th best player) or Hightower? I am warming up to this idea, although Martin at OT fixes a problem in a draft that has several speedy LB's in RD2 (spoiler alert?)
  16. You are the first person to mention Kendall Wright. I was just talking to another Analyst about the possibility of the Bills taking the speedy, field-stretching WR who gets separation first, and taking a taller WR later, say RD4 (McNutt, LaVon Brazill, Lavoisier Tuinei). We could still do the opposite and take the speedy guy later, as there are a bunch of them: Kendall Wright Joe Adams Isaiah Thomas Marquis Maze Chris Rainey
  17. This is Christmas Story, Bill! Williams is the Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun with the compass in the stock. Unlike the movie, though, the Gun comes to Buffalo, not the Chicago Bears.
  18. Thanks. LOVE the idea of trading down and snaring Hightower. It's not Buddy's style; he'd say if you want him, take him there at #10. But I love the idea of using Sheppard-Barnett-Hightower interchangeably (and still draft a RD2 speedbacker guy like Ronnell Lewis or Vinny Curry or Lavonte David or Bruce Irvin)
  19. The most interesting thing in there is that "we got like 7 defensive tackles." To me this is a signal that we won't be looking at DT in RD1-2. I think we're not going to bring in a Brockers or a Brandon Thompson. But we might look at RD6-7-UDFA guys. I like Travian Robertson and Dareus's sidekick at Alabama, Chapman.
  20. Thank you to all that Mario mentioned: Thanks Mr. Wilson! The fans The coaches Russ Brandon The great guys in the front office Kyle Williams, who convinced him at Tempo The atmosphere that Mario was attracted to camaraderie, even with coaches Our college atmosphere Being up front with Mario Jim Kelly --did some heavy recruiting during some hunting adventures
  21. Floyd was picked by the Dolfags. Because their positional needs are so similar to ours, and pick above us all during the draft, we will hate the Dolfags even more after April 26-28. Our Lt Board actually has Adams over Martin on the Value Board, but I like Martin for us. Would be happy with either, actually. Adams has the baggage from the Ohio State stuff but also the pancake blocks.
  22. I'd rather sign Manningham and draft pass rush in the first 2 rounds.
  23. I have been on the horn with DraftTek, and we're going around and around about our computer's RD1#10 selection this afternoon, even after changing Positional Needs when Mario signed. Should the Bills continue to bolster their pass rush (Ingram-Coples-Upshaw-Mercilus), get another cornerback (Kirkpatrick-Jenkins are there at #10), draft O-Line (Adams-Martin), or assume we don't get a FA WR (take Alshon Jeffery or Kendall Wright)?
