  1. I don't think the LT they pick will be Reiff. Don't worry. A true No.2 can be found by the Bills in the 4th-7th. Ask Stevie Johnson (7th), Marcus Easley (4th), and Donald Jones (UDFA).
  2. Every player isn't listed because some will be taken before the next Bills' pick. In the yet-unpublished CMD Mock #15 at DraftTek, Criner goes the pick before us at #40 in RD2. Criner went to Indy at #34 on the mock that's up there as I write this.
  3. 1: Ryan Tannehill QB----> Dolphins 2: Michael Floyd WR-----> Rams 3: Courtney Upshaw OLB--> Chargers 4: Lamar Miller RB------> Jets 5: Orson Charles TE-----> Eagles
  4. Order Matters! Look who's available in each round. Which is the best draft of the 6 combinations??? LT,WR,OLB (RD1: Reiff-Adams-Glenn) (RD2: Alshon Jeffery-Sanu) (RD3: Sean Spence-Audie Cole) LT,OLB,WR (RD1: Reiff-Adams-Glenn) (RD2: Lavonte David, Wagner) (RD3: Givens, Toon, Rainey, Jenkins) OLB,LT,WR: (RD1: Kuechly-Ingram,Zach Brown) (RD2:Kelechi Osemele) (RD3: Givens, Toon, Rainey, Jenkins) OLB,WR,LT: (RD1: Kuechly-Ingram,Zach Brown) (RD2: Alshon Jeffery-Sanu) (RD3: Sanders*, Bergstrom, Mosley) WR,LT,OLB: (RD1:Floyd, Stephen Hill) (RD2:Kelechi Osemele) (RD3: Sean Spence-Audie Cole) WR,OLB,LT: (RD1:Floyd, Stephen Hill) (RD2: Lavonte David, Wagner) (RD3: Sanders*, Bergstrom, Mosley) *Likely drafted earlier than our RD3 pick I conclude from this that the Bills need to get their LT first, OLB second, WR or TE third.
  5. http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/2012/03/would-dolphins-trade-up-for-tannehill.html Miami covets Tannehill. Miami OC Mike Sherman was Tannehill's head coach at A&M. And Cleveland's a wild card. The fear is that Cleveland will trade their pick and allow the Chiefs (now behind the Bills at #11) or Arizona (at #13) to take Tannehill. Chiefs have Orton, Stanzi, Palko. Arizona has Skelton, Bartel, Kolb.
  6. Boy, I don't see Nick Perry as a 4-3 OLB. The unnamed author confuses even himself: "Nevertheless, has some obvious talent and is a guy you would expect to start as a rush backer in a 34 scheme." We have Perry dropping to RD3 as a DE43, and not even on the radar as a OLB43.
  7. Awesome point, Brandon! If the Bills see a defensive player they have higher on their board at #10, they might pull the trigger, but I think this stat says it all.
  8. In the potential trade of the No. 3 overall pick from the Minnesota Vikings to the No. 8 Miami Dolphins for Ryan Tannehill, the Bills win in 3 ways. FIRST--The Dolphins don't address three areas of need that the Bills could address at #10 (OLB, OT, and WR). This means more players percolate down to the Bills if they stay put at #10. Simulating a draft trade, I had Michael Floyd, David DeCastro, Quinton Coples, Mike Adams, Melvin Ingram, Michael Brockers, Whitney Mercilus, and Dre Kirkpatrick at #10 SECOND--Because Minnesota doesn't take Matt Kalil at #3 in order to garner some picks (likely #8, #42, and #72), Kalil falls, and teams could trade up for him at a lower spot (CLE, TB, STL), ostensibly requiring fewer picks to do so. A drop of one spot might be enough to make an offer involving only 2 picks. CLE and TB have less need at LT than STL, so you'd have to trade with CLE or TB. THIRD--The Dolphins' resulting draft will be anemic. At best, they get Tannehill and Crick/Chandler Jones, and don't address OT against our newly-acquired defensive pressure. So if Miami trades up, smile.
  9. Here is the AstroList --20 Players I'll get giddy about Nix drafting: 1-Matt Kalil LT -----Only guy I'd go up and grab 2-Nate Potter LT/OG--6'6 300 Boise St 5.36 -Team was 1st, 2nd, 1st in nation in least sacks over 3yrs. 3-James Carmon LT Mississippi State (6-6, 334) RD6-very raw, but size, length, athleticism and major upside 4-Kuechly OLB------------started at OLB and made 158 tackles; averages 16 tpg (tackles per game) in college 5-Demario Davis SLB AK State (6-3, 230) (Derrick Brooks build/style) tough, quick, reader, range, fluidity 6-Emmanuel Acho (OLB Texas 6’2” 245 (4.67)Work ethic, intell, athletic, speed, tackler, closing speed 7-Audie Cole LB 4-3 OLB guy his whole life and listed as ILB; I think Bills use him at Will 8-Dwayne Allen TE Clemson 6-4 255, biggest-bodied TE, pro attit, run block, peak receiver, quickness, jukes 9-Stephon Gilmore CB Gamecocks savvy, hard-hitting, 6’2”, speed (4.40), blitz skills, aggressive, KR, 10-Dre Kirkpatrick CB -a Revis--nobody passing his way, tall, dn bite on play action 11-Omar Bolden CB AZ State 5'10" 198, ACL but started 4 yrs, chiseled, athletic, compet.,mature, character 12-Brian Quick WR App St.---------6’4, 220, brute, positive, articulate, rock-solid, long arms 13-Joe Adams WR Arkansas--Nix's Parrish, Chavous’s Top 5, KR 14-DeVier Posey WR Ohio St, 6-1, 209, 4.45 (North) best combo of size/speed/break-point quickness/hands 15-Shea McClellin DE BoiseSt.(6-3 255 49 games at DE, 15.5 sacks last 2 years) 16-Cordarro Law DE Southern Miss (6-2 254 DE43/OLB34, 47 games, 15 sacks last 2 years) 17-Adrian Hamilton-DE Prairie View 6'3 255 (John Abraham build/style),balance, body angle,up.body strength 18-Kirk Cousins QB Michigan State 6-2, 209, 4.90 fundamentals, mechanics, footwork, strength, touch 19-Russell Wilson QB Wisc--accurate, mechanics, movement, evasive, athletic, throw on run, command, strength 20-GJ Kinne, QB Tulsa RD7 47 TD, mobile, great fade, spread QB, elusive, MVP of Collegiate bowl, 63.3% pct
  10. I'd say BPA at #10 is Floyd if he is there, Kuechly, DeCastro, Tannehill, Coples, Cox, Gilmore, Adams, Glenn. We won't take Cox, But I think the others would be in play at 10. What do you think?
  11. Well, hey, Donald Jones has been named the number 2 WR. for now. I think the Tannehill visit is largely to cause another team to leapfrog the Dolphins, causing the Dolphis to Take Reiff and not Tannehill.
  12. http://www.drafttek.com/teamneeds2012.asp I don't have any position at P1 because you can only have one position declared P1. I have the Big Three (LT, OLB, WR) as P2, so DraftTek computer takes the BEst Player Available from the Big Board, up to a reach of 12 slots. Astro
  13. Peter King says Tannehill will go to Chiefs AND K.C.... Anybody want to tell Tannehill the bad news? Uh, Andrew, turns out Chiefs and KC are the same, um, team, so you'll be there for 2 days.
  14. not only that, Jenkins continued to smoke pot despite the second chance. Concerned about character, and added him to Drafttek lockout list with Burfict.
  15. http://www.drafttek.com/CMDRound1.asp Read my comment under the Bills pick.
  16. Les Carpenter is from Yahoo Sports, not DraftTek. just keepin it real...
  17. I tried to make a mock of players the Bills have had visit One Bills Drive or worked out individually. Source I then arranged the name from most likely to least IMHO. Here we go. RD1- Cordy Glenn OT, Mike Adams OT, Jonathan Martin LT, Ryan Tannehill QB, Justin Blackmon WR, Matt Kalil LT, Whitney Mercilus DE, Dre Kirkpatrick CB RD2- Bruce Irvin LB, Brian Quick WR, Kirk Cousins QB, Russell Wilson QB, Chandler Jones DE RD3- Brock Osweiler QB, Tank Carder LB Some obviously involve trade ups or trade downs.
  18. Great draft, Dr. D. I agree with MDFan and his personnel selections. Maybe Jones and Easley stick.
  19. Agree with Randle, Sani, McNutt in RD2 and Reiff, Glenn, Kuechly in RD1. Here are our picks in DraftTek's latest mock: Kuechly LB Janoris Jenkins CB Brandon Mosely LT Reuben Randle WR, Terrell Manning LB Rhett Ellison TE, Bernard Pierce RB Ryan Lindley QB Julian Miller DE, Greg Childs WR
  20. PFT is one opinion. I find some of the placements humorous. Bobby Wagner lasting until mid-3 or getting Juron Criner in RD5 is laughable. RD4, I think the best LT prospect is Matt McCants. I'd look at Nate Potter in RD3, though. The RD5 LTs, Compton and Reynolds, are IMHO inferior to Hairston in terms of LT upside.
  21. Estro, I like your picks, and I won't be surprised with the Cordy Glenn pick ...Nix has said they have some guys rated differently, and I am convinced Cordy Glenn was whom he was talking about. The talking heads on TV will have a field day with it, though! I especially like Chapman pick, Dareus's line mate at Bama.
  22. Character is important. I just wouldn't want them to be Burfict!
  23. Great research and good point about "proven performance". At #10, which of these can you say that about? Because I think this might be our list of choices at #10. Tier I Luke Kuechly -158 tackles as an outside linebacker, plays inside or outside, 16 tackle avg.per game in career David DeCastro -extremely polished, smart, quick technician, best since Steve Hutchinson Tier II Stephon Gilmore -one of the 3 top CB's in the draft Melvin Ingram -scheme-versatile OLB/DE Riley Reiff -one of the top 3 tackles but likely not a franchise LT Michael Brockers -3-4 guy, PFW: "big, strong, instinctive, versatile raw talent" (visted Pats yesterday) Courtney Upshaw -3-4 guy but could be 4-3 edge setter
