  1. Statistically, McKelvin was. But I know. Facts are closet cases here.
  2. I prefer to call it an investment. When the final gun goes off, and I look up at the scoreboard for the last time, it will say, Bills Fun, Regrets 0.
  3. I'll take Eddins and Batten. Eddins looked good in Game 1 last year, had a QB hurry and a positive grade by PFF Premium Stats. Batten had 4 starts last year, Week 5, 6, 9, 10) and positive Pass Coverage rating in every game. Maybin had a negative Pass Coverage rating in 8 of 12 games in 2010 for the Bills, and 5 of the 12 Jets games.
  4. I'll be going July 27, 28, 29, 31, Aug 2, 6, 7, and 12. I'd be happy to meet any of you and shoot the breeze.
  5. +1 I'm a fan of Batten, and think that our patience pays off with him. We'll see in preseason games, I think.
  6. Skip the first 24 seconds of the video. Just posturing by Anderson.
  7. Not a lot of hard work yet at the Bills facility Barnett is 31. I'm more than twice his age. I'm turning 64 next month, and I'm not old.
  8. The Bills' pass rush could certainly help the Bills backfield to earn some Pro Bowl love. Put me down for Jarius Byrd and/or Terrence McGee. McGee has missed time, and will be back with a vengeance--not with his old speed, but with wily-ness and focus. I think Levitre might be helping our new LT a bit, and it may hurt his Pro Bowl chances. But Wood has a great shot. I think he'll be a difference-maker for our inside-the-guards running game. I also think he stays healthy this year.
  9. Looking at WR's in the 2013 draft in RD#2 and 3 right now, it's slim pickings for the size, skill, and numbers that Gordon has put up. Marquess Wilson-------- Wash. St.--6'2" 188-----AVG 16.9 ypc Terrance Williams------ Baylor-----6'1" 190-----AVG 16.2 Da'Rick Rogers--------- Tennessee--6'3" 215-----AVG 15.5 Aaron Mellette--------- Elon-------6'3" 214-----AVG 14.5
  10. Biggest camp battle is getting to training camp. I should be successful every afternoon this year, though. Johnson will enter training camp in the best shape of his life. He tweeted about it yesterday, saying, "Good news for me and the Bills. Bad news for the AFC." I'm betting he stays.
  11. 4th or 5th is what I was hearing is Gordon's value, but someone (San Diego? St. Louis? Carolina?) will outbid the Bills, paying too much for too little.
  12. Here's my own updated Big Board for 2013, after looking at suggested players and more video. I've taken the liberty of boldfacing the Bills' selections in Round 1-4. Best on Kickoffs Only ST Corey McIntyre K Rian Lindell ST Justin Rogers ST Lee Smith ST Arthur Moats ST Da'Norris Searcy K Dave Rayner ST Danny Batten P Brian Moorman Astro-Comment: Even with his penalties (see below), McIntyre rules the roost on kickoffs. 16. If I HAD to 5 in 5 out this year, I'd have to move Broncos and Texans out. I can't change the NFC. I'd replace the Broncos with Chargers and Texans with Raiders.
  17. 5 in, 5 out is too many. I think 3 in, 3 out. (Bold teams stay) Last year: AFC: Broncos, Patriots, Texans, Ravens, Bengals, Steelers Last year: NFC: Lions, Saints, Giants, Falcons, Packers, 49'ers. Replacing the Ravens in the AFC: Bills---fewer injuries, fewer sacks, better depth, good Dec. games, Mario-Mark-Merriman-Dareus-Kyle. Replacing the Lions and Saints in the NFC: Carolina Panthers--Newton, and now Kuechly, Silatolu, and Joe Adams. Good things, man. Philadelphia Eagles--alternate sucking and delivering. Good year coming up, but NYG takes division.
  18. Don't like it. Flat brim, uninspired design. I want a white cap at a hot training camp. Just ordered this Reebok at $20.94: http://bills.fanatics.com/NFL_Buffalo_Bills_Hats/Reebok_Buffalo_Bills_White_Front_And_Center_Adjustable_Hat White with blue "Buffalo Bills" and logo front and center.
  19. Great question. When I first went to the link, I started reading it and thought, "We have these. Why aren't the Bills listed? When it mentioned them at the end I was glad we got the props for our improvement on depth over the last 2 drafts and FA periods. Go to transactions on the team's web page, and it's evident. 22. My Condolences, Guffalo. I remember some of that art! I liked his character for Buffalo Bill. Save his artwork, scan it, and save that, too. I have lots from my Dad, including several of his Instamatic camera designs for Kodak (Kodak was a company that made cameras in the silver halide days). I sometimes like to go through his sketches, doodles, and working drawings.
