  1. 1 9 Johnathan Hankins (Jr.,decl) 1 23 Keenan Allen (Jr., decl) 1 25 Sheldon Richardson (decl) 2 44 Giovani Bernard (So., decl) 3 83 Marcus Lattimore (decl) 5 159 Brandon Jenkins (inj,Jr, decl)
  2. Me Likey! What I do lately is to run the simulator, see who I like that falls after the Bills' pick, and use the Grab button to name the player I want. Here's an example: 1 12 Keenan Allen WRF California----size, excellent hands, smooth moves and ability to return punts 2 43 Landry Jones QB Oklahoma-----16,124 yd. career yards 3 74 Margus Hunt DE43 SMU----------absolute physical “freak” from Estonia limitless upside, extremely raw. 17 blocked kicks is record. 4 106 Kenjon Barner RBC Oregon---sub 4.5 speed, at 250 pounds, dekes extremely well 5 138 Michael Williams TE Alabama-most versatile player in draft: TE, split out as WR, lead FB, RB this year 6 170 Adrian Bushell CB Louisville---Playmaker. KR for TD vs UCONN, blocked kick in another, so he's won 2 games this year for Louisville 7 202 Kyle Van Noy OLB BYU--------sacks (7.0) TFL (15.0) in 2011, then 11.5 sacks and 18.5 TFL in 2012
  3. Good assessment. 8000+ yds (only done at Syracuse by McNabb/Graves), had the #1 offense in BigEast, 62.4% pct., one of the best at looking off safeties, dealt Louisville its first loss, arm strength and physical build, plus A+ smarts. His stock will most definitely net him a 3rd RD grade before April. Like Wilson and Nassib. Gimme Kevin Minter in RD2.
  4. This really gave me a laugh. Thanks! Do any of you think that Nix will take a RB in this draft? I do. Not seeing Freddy get younger, and am not a fan of the depth after Spiller.
  5. Wingo, Rambo, or Mingo? They're all in this draft. I think you mean Barkevious Mingo. I like the list if that's who you mean. 1 3 Geno Smith QB 12 West Virginia 6'3" 220 1 14 Matt Barkley QB 7 USC 6'2" 220 1 16 Tyler Wilson QB 8 Arkansas 6'3" 215 2 39 Collin Klein QB 7 Kansas State 6'3" 225 2 43 Tyler Bray (Jr.) QB 8 Tennessee 6'5" 210 2 49 Landry Jones QB 12 Oklahoma 6'4" 230 2 63 E.J. The value for a franchise guy is RD2, while the developmental prospect is Boyd, Doege, Florence, those guys.
  6. I'm not so interested in names yet, but it might be time to discuss the 7 positions that might be drafted in 2013. Here's my attempt, in no significant order yet: OC-An injured Wood 3 out of 4 years doesn't bode well. CB-Likely taken early to replace McGee, possibly supplant McKelvin/Williams/Rodgers. WR-The tall option Nix talks about QB-Nix isn't mincing words. This will be a franchise guy. LB-Barnett isn't sideline to sideline fast, misses tackles. Likely early pick. TE-An injured Chandler/inept receiver Smith showed need for well-rounded big man QB/LB-For depth. I don't like OLB's late in this draft, so it's likely a developmental QB late to compete for QB#3. What positions interest you in the draft?
  7. ---->If we draft Geno Smith, we've lost our RD2 this year and RD1 next year. ---->This draft is solid for 3 rounds, but sucks for LB's after that. Lots of reaching later on. ---->Let's get Gailey an OC and Fitz some weapons before we throw the baby out with the bath water. Groom heir apparent. Draft 2 QB, 2 WR. Trade Down with Dallas (they want Star Lotulelei at DT) or Arizona (they want QB choice) RD1-Terrance Williams WRF Baylor in RD1 (Draft Scout's #1 WR) RD2-Arthur Brown OLB43 Kansas State (Draft Scout's #1 OLB for most of the fall) RD2-Ezekiel Ansah DE43 Brigham Young RD3-Collin Klein QB Kansas State RD4-Stedman Bailey WRF West Virginia RD5-Zaviar Gooden OLB43 Missouri RD6-Trey Millard FB Oklahoma RD7-Seth Doege QB texas Tech
  8. I like Terrence Williams as a receiver...His receiving average was 22.1 ypc and thereabouts for most of the year. He's Draft Scout's #1WR, and IMHO was the most dominant WR in college football this year. He had at least 130 rec yds in every game but one, and he broke all of Kendall Wright's receiving records. Some amazing catches and some impressive moves. I think our draft pick is on this list. Some not on here are already going to be gone (Te'O) and some I don't like (Warmack, Okafor, Damontre Moore). Johnathan Hankins (Jr.,declared) Johnthan Banks Lane Johnson Taylor Lewan Matt Barkley Sam Montgomery Tyler Wilson Jonathan Jenkins Terrance Williams Jake Matthews (Jr., hasn't declared yet) C.J. Mosley (Jr.,hasn't declared yet) Keenan Allen (Jr., declared) Barrett Jones
  9. Glennon fans will be disappointed that we have him at #136 on our Big Board, which would be right around our RD5 pick. Combine could help Graham some, but not first-rounder good. He's not elusive like Nix wants, often telegraphs his throws, but with coaching could get better. I liked his chemistry with TJ Graham last year, and I like his quick setup and quick release. Watch him here in 2011 (his top WR is TJ Graham, #6): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEn_9QvOCfI&feature=youtu.be
  10. Remember that Glennon was throwing to TJ Graham last season, so Nix has watched him plenty. That said, I'm not a big fan. His mobility is limited. Here's what Glennon will look like against NFL defenses:
  11. I see Geno Smith, Wilson, Nassib, Glennon, Manuel, and Doege as the dual-threat guys. Nassib can throw very accurately on the run--better than Landry--and throw a decent deep ball.
  12. You can keep returning to the sim and click on Grab and Lockout over and over if you like. I did that to create this draft: 1 13 Buffalo Manti Te'o ILB Notre Dame P3Grab +4 Value 2 44 Buffalo Kevin Minter OLB43 LSU P2Grab -6 Reach 3 75 Buffalo Collin Klein QB Kansas State P1Grab -94 Reach 4 107 Buffalo Stedman Bailey WRF West Virginia P3 +0 Value 5 139 Buffalo Devin Taylor DE43 South Carolina P3 +1 Value Top That! LOL
  13. Here are instructions on doing your own simulation. Click here: http://drafttek.com/new%20simulator/frmLogin.aspx Choose "Offensive Needs". The Bills' Positional Needs are currently set by me. P1 is your highest priority. To change WR to P2, click on the 2 in the Priority Codes window, then click on the number next to WR. It will turn red. Do this for any offensive needs, then hit Proceed. Do the same for Defensive Needs, then hit Proceed. You may Grab or Lockout players on the next screen. Hit Proceed. You may change Draft Pick Order by clicking the button at the top [i.e., for trades]. Click the team name and then click next to the team whose pick you are replacing. Hit Proceed. Hit Proceed again. Click the Exportable Version button. You are done!
  14. Here's a Manti Te'O draft. Bills trade up to #4 for Manti Te'O, lose this year's #1, and next year's #2 1-Manti Te'O ILB Notre Dame 3-Chase Thomas OLB Stanford 4-AJ McCarron QB Alabama 5-Michael Carter CB Minnesota 6-Uzoma Nwachukwu WR Texas A&M 7-Seth Doege QB Texas Tech or Everett Dawkins DT Fla State
  15. I did pretty well at this last year, so I'm trying it again: Pick 5 players in each round that would do the most for the Bills. I had Stephon Gilmore and Cordy Glenn in RD1 last year, and we got them both. They're in order of how much I think they'd help the team in their first 3 years. RD1 -Xavier Rhodes, CB -C.J. Mosley, OLB -Terrance Williams, WR -Barrett Jones, OC/OG/LT -Manti Te'O, ILB -----> Rhodes would give the Bills an incredible back 4, assuming they re-sign Byrd. Mosley is the best OLB that will be there when the Bills pick, and we'll need 2 or 3in the draft. Te'O is fifth on this list because of the learning curve. Shep's in it now. Barrett Jones is too versatile to not have on our oft-injured line. Te'O is still a top 5 on my board. No QB in RD1 (with the possible exception of Collin Klein) would be ours at our pick. RD 2 -Desmond Trufant, CB -Collin Klein QB -Landry Jones, QB -Kevin Minter, ILB -Tavon Austin, WR ----->I really like the play of Trufant---Quick, great read and react, turns quick, his range. CB's aren't a popular pick but they force QB's to hold the ball. Minter is one of my favorite players in this draft and LSU’s leading tackler, but a junior. I like Jones--accurate passer (63%-67% for 4 years) Big 12 conference's all-time leader in passing yards, winningest quarterback in school history (was Bradford), and one of only three QB's in FBS history with 3,000 passing yards in four different seasons. Austin's speed in Gailey's hands would be dangerous. RD3 -Khaled Holmes, OC -Corey Lemonier, DE -Sheldon Richardson, DT -Jonathan Brown, OLB-ILB -E.J. Manuel, QB ------> Holmes is a recent add-on with the third misfortune of Eric Wood. I'd hate to waste a pick on a Center, but we may have to. Kiper calls Lemonier a "terror", and I agree. He led the Tigers in both TFL (13½) and sacks (9½) in '11, and picked up where he left off on a weaker team this year. Richardson is tough all effort, Kyle Williams-like burst, athletic as hell, smart, and abuses OL's the whole game. He's a sideline to sideline player. Brown is a very versatile LB. Manuel will intrigue Channix and his QB coach. RD4 -Lane Johnson, LT -Jelani Jenkins, WILB -Cyril Richardson, OG -Michael Carter, CB -Ryan Nassib, QB
  16. I applaud your use of facts and info to prove a point. I will warn you that TBD posters for the most part cannot relate to such left-brained reasoning. Try the limbic or amygdala approach next time.
  17. Given Wood's injuries 3 out of 4 years, here's a New Draft to consider (using DraftTek's Simulator): 1 13 Buffalo Barrett Jones OC Alabama 2 44 Buffalo E.J. Manuel QB Florida State 3 75 Buffalo Cornellius "Tank" Carradine DE43 Florida State 4 107 Buffalo Kenny Stills WR Oklahoma 5 139 Buffalo DeVonte Holloman OLB43 South Carolina 6 172 Buffalo Jake Stoneburner TE Ohio State 7 200 Buffalo Alec Lemon WR Syracuse
  18. OL help is on the way! The Bills re-signed the eighth-year player to a two-year, $4 million contract in March to provide them a veteran backup behind Nick Barnett. This leaves the Bills extremely weak in O-Line depth as well as veteran LB help. Will be changing Positional Needs accordingly. Looking like OC is a P3 need.
  19. If I don't put a position at P1, and I put LB, WR, TE, CB at P2 (as an example), then the computer takes the highest available player on the Big Board at those positions. For example, given the current big board and the Bills draft 10th. Let's say these guys are available: Sam Montgomery LSU DE43 Taylor Lewan Michigan LOT Damontre Moore Texas A&M DE43 Keenan Allen California WRF Jonathan Jenkins Georgia DT34 Johnthan Banks Mississippi State CB We'd get Keenan Allen because we have no P1, and our P2 ranked highest is Keenan Allen. If we had WR ranked as a P3 instead, we'd get Johnthan Banks.
  20. Right now, our team needs for the 2013 draft look like this. Each of the 32 DraftTek analysts has been asked to update their needs for December's mock, which looks like this. (For the sick, lame and lazy, the computer gave us Manti Te'O ILB this month and Terrance Williams WR last month). You're all GM material, right? Give me your preferred positional needs. You can only have one top (P1) need, but you can have as many P2 or P3 needs as you want. The next DraftTek Mock Draft will use our updated needs. Astro
  21. Link to the top 10 games: http://www.deankindig.com/Who%20To%20Watch.htm Happy Football-watching! As Bills Analyst for DraftTek, I'll pay close attention to a couple games here. Tonight, UCLA-Stanford's at 8pm on Fox, and I'll watch Shayne Scov and Chase Thomas for Stanford, as well as underrated athlete, cassius Marsh. He's played a number of positions in his career, but #99 will be a DT tonight. The Bills will be looking at QB and WR early in the 2013 draft, so Oklahoma QB Landry Jones and his go-to guy, Junior Kenny Stills, will be fun to watch at Noon on ESPN as Oklahoma-TCU go at it. WR Josh Boyce, should he declare, would be an interesting mid-draft pick for the Bills. RD3 is about when the Bills will take another CB, and another Junior, Justin Gilbert should be worth a look. The Big Game is at 4 on CBS, Alabama vs. Georgia, with a whopping 24 possible NFL players. I like McCarron and Murray, but I also want to see the effect Dee Milliner and CJ Mosley have on the game. The winner could possibly be the Bills' RD1 pick in April. Astro Like This Quote MultiQuote Edit
  22. This would be my List of 32 right now. If we're 8th you choose from the bold-highlighted players, IMHO. Geno Smith Jarvis Jones Star Lotulelei Manti Te'o Johnathan Hankins (Jr.) Luke Joeckel Chance Warmack Barkevious Mingo Dee Milliner Sam Montgomery Bjoern Werner Le'Veon Bell (Jr.) Sheldon Richardson Taylor Lewan Johnthan Banks Matt Barkley Tyler Wilson Jake Matthews (Jr.) Robert Woods Jonathan Jenkins Keenan Allen (Jr.) Terrance Williams Dion Jordan Damontre Moore (Jr.) Tyler Eifert Kevin Minter (Jr.) Barrett Jones Tavon Austin Justin Hunter Xavier Rhodes Alex Okafor Collin Klein
  23. I'm with you, but I'm not taking any chances on McCarron. I'd take him in RD4, because I have him going to NE if we don't! He led the SEC most of the year in Adjusted Yards Per Attempt, which is a great indicator that he's always looking downfield. If we don't go with two QB's, I want Desmond Trufant in RD4 if he's there. I'm also going to let the draft come to me in the second round; no trading up, especially if I've done my homework on the RD2 QB's ( Jones, Bray, Manuel, Murray, Klein). Jones edges out Bray in the huddle, although both have been insane the 2nd half of this year. We'll need a difference-making LB, 2 DE's, at least one TE, 2 QB's, and reinforcements at Safety and CB.. RD1 Manti Te'O ILB RD2 QB1 (I have them ranked Bray-Jones, then Murray, Klein, Manuel, right now. I think Logan Thomas falls to RD3, and I hate him. RD3 DE (right now I have Margus Hunt, Michael Buchanan, and William Gholston at DE, RD4 CB Desmond Trufant (or McCarron) RD5 TE Michael Williams RD6 RB (right now I like Johnathan Franklin, Cierre Wood (Jr.), Mike Gillislee, and Theo Riddick, in that order) RD7 DE/TE Cassius Marsh ---versatile, great size, TD in upset victory over then- #13 Virginia Tech
  24. 92.9% this year (13 of 14), missing none in the last 3 weeks. He's made 3 between the 40 and 49 yard line this year. 389 of 390 extra points. Keep him.
  25. 1 1 Geno Smith 1 16 Matt Barkley 1 17 Tyler Wilson 1 32 Collin Klein 2 43 Landry Jones 2 49 E.J. Manuel 2 53 Aaron Murray (Jr.) 2 62 Tyler Bray (Jr., may decl) 3 75 Logan Thomas (Jr.) 5 130 A.J. McCarron (Jr.) 5 159 Tajh Boyd (Jr.) 6 180 Keith Price (Jr.) 6 182 Mike Glennon 6 187 Seth Doege 6 189 Ryan Nassib 7 203 Nick Florence 7 209 Zach Mettenberger (Jr.) 7 213 Casey Pachall (suspJr.) 7 214 Colby Cameron U 227 Zac Dysert I think E.J. Manuel's stock slipped a bit yesterday in the Florida game. HE tried too hard, forced things, and Fitz'ed 4 times.
