  1. @JohnDitullio and I will talk #Bills Draft Friday ~3:25pm, #WHTK:Who's best QB in Gulf Coast K-Gun Offense http://i.imgur.com/tlsTxp5.jpg #DraftTek Astrobot Just was changed to 3:45pm.
  2. Here's where I have the QB's now: 1 7 Geno Smith 1 30 Matt Barkley 2 37 E.J. Manuel 2 42 Tyler Wilson 2 54 Tyler Bray 2 62 Ryan Nassib 3 69 Mike Glennon 4 105 Landry Jones 4 119 Matt Scott 5 136 Zac Dysert 7 250 Optimus Klein Brad Sorensen and Sean Renfree might be drafted on Day 3 or might go UDFA. ----->Sorensen (Southern Utah 6'4" 235) has the build and 4:1 TD:INT ratio. He was the Utah transfer. ----->Renfree (Duke 6'4" 225) is my favorite for unsung QB. He throws a nice ball, and is 2nd in Completion percentage to EJ Manuel in the ACC. quick study, great ?s in prep, calm, cool, quick release.
  3. "Hackett will fold no-huddle elements - popularly referred to as "K-Gun" elements by reporters thanks to Hackett's experience working under Alex Van Pelt - into game plans to keep defenses off balance"....""Some stuff we're going to do offensively is unique," Kolb said, "and it's going to be fun." source So, The K-Fun, Gulf Coast Offense.
  4. Some results I found: # Times Each QB >My 10 Target Numbers in 3 Yrs: ------------------Smith(24), Jones(23), Barkley(18), Wilson(16), Manuel(15), Bray(14), Glennon(10), Nassib(9), Scott(7), Klein(5) Improved in 10 Metrics Every Year of Last 3: ------------------Smith, Manuel. 5. FB Kyle Juszczyk is the new one to me. Thanks! DS#23 TE led all Ivy League tight ends and led Harvard receivers with 37 receptions, compiling 512 yards and seven touchdowns in 2011, may be #1 FB as well (if it isn't Pryor)
  6. I don't have Ansah as having been in for a visit. Do you have a source? Nassib's on the list.
  7. Updated Visits Mock: I'm listing my guess where each visitor will be drafted. Some may not be available at that round by the time we pick. I've also put them in likelihood order: RD1---8------------OLB Jarvis Jones-----QB Geno Smith-------------WR Cordarrelle Patterson-------LB Barkevious Mingo RD1---Trade----- ILB Alec Ogletree -----QB Matt Barkley------------QB Manuel---------------FS Kenny Vaccaro---LB Kevin Minter RD2---41----------QB Nassib----------------OLB Jamie Collins------- QB Wilson---------------WR Woods-------------WR Hunter RD3---71----------WR Ryan Swope------ QB Tyler Bray -------------TE Vance McDonald-------FS Phillip Thomas-----QB Matt Scott RD4---105--------QB Landry Jones-------WR Da’Rick Rogers-------QB Mike Glennon-----------CB Tyrann Mathieu RD5---143--------TE Mychal Rivera-------TE Ryan Griffin--------------WR Zach Rogers RD6—177--------OG JC Tretter----------- RD7-UDFA-------SS Cooper Taylor------WR Alec Lemon-------WR Marcus Sales UDFA FS Malcolm Bronson, McNeese State SS Jonathan Meeks, Clemson WR Russell Shepard, LSU QB Jeff Tuel, Washington State OG Zack Chibane, Syracuse TE David Stevens, Syracuse TE Ryan Griffin, Connecticut
  8. Working on it...try now. See if it loads a blue chart in MS Word with green highlights. It may be in your downloads at the bottom of your screen. Astro
  9. I want a QB with winning stats. Sure, stats don't tell the whole story, but for the sake of comparing QBs by stats, I want one that each SEASON has the following stats: CMP >240 ATT >300 YDS >3,500 PCT COMPLETIONS >64% YARDS PER ATTEMPT > 8.0 yds. LONGEST PASS PLAY > 75 yds. TOUCHDOWNS >= 22 TD:INT RATIO > 2.7 to 1 TD:SACK RATIO > 2.0 to 1 QB RATING > 143 To see the results of my comparisons of the QBs the Bills might be targeting and how they measure up, load it here: http://www.deankindi...m/QBCompare.doc Astro
  10. I'm okay with Barkley. It reminds me that Nix talked about "he's going to be the face of your franchise". Barkley's a class act. Not saying Geno isn't, but I didn't like how he came unglued in the Pinstripe Bowl.
  11. The reason I'm taking Geno if he's there is his 7:1 TD to INT ratio. Others are in the 4:1 and 2:1 neighborhood. If you consider he'd be in the Gulf Coast Offense with us, he'll keep those numbers and let the receivers/RBs/TEs do their thing. Of course, we'll need some of those... RD1 Geno Smith QB RD2 Robert Woods WRF RD3 Vance McDonald TE RD4 Nico Johnson ILB RD5 Marcus Davis WRF RD6 Travis Long OLB34
  12. We have him as the 100th-ranked player, going in RD3 to Baltimore. Will add him to the Visit Mock Draft.
  13. Updated: I'm listing my guess where each visitor will be drafted. Some may not be available at that round by the time we pick. 15. I have him at #65, above Tavarres King but below Terrance Williams.
  16. We could have the first-ever 2-Cornelius draft: Tank Carnelius Crradine and Cornelius Washington. Love the guy. #1 in bench press among DE's (36), so he'd have a bull rush and seal the edge well, a 39 vert #1 in the forty so he'd be able to cover for Pettine, tied for #1 in broad jump and pretty good bench so he has explosion factor, and made 17 tackles in 6 starts in 2011, as well as 6 TFL, 5 sk, and 29 QB pressures. He falls due to 10-2011 arrest driving 92 in a 55. So he's a rusher!
  17. This Tavon is no Roscoe. In fact, I submitted Tavon's name in the M&T Bank "Name the first player coming to the Bills" contest. I figure I'll be the only entry.
  18. Best sig line of the draft! LOL ---- "Dadgum son, catfished by a buttweed" Looking forward to the T-Shirt when Te'O's drafted by us at #41...
  19. My Badass-Name mock draft for this year (not a bad way to draft, either): RD1-Barkevious Kiki" Mingo OLB34 RD2-Khaseem Greene ILB RD3-Bacarri Rambo FS RD4-Gavin Escobar TE RD5-Shamarko Thomas SS RD6-Lerentee McCray OLB
  20. 6)Pick 118 **Lavar Edwards OLB3/4 LSU or Kevin Reddick ILB North Carolina------> Take Lavar Edwards OLB34. Reddick has played 4-3 exclusively. 7)Pick: 156 **Matt Scott QB Arizona or Alvin Bailey OG Arkansas------>I think Scott'll be picked up late 3rd. I like Bailey. He blocked for Knile Davis (1000 yd runner), also Ryan Mallett (3000 yd) in 2010, also Tyler Wilson in 2011-12. He's an equally-effective run-pass blocker whereas we're 6th in run blocking and like 20th in pass-blocking. Marrone likes 'em physical and tough and he is. He's quick off the snap, and can move. 8)Pick: 177 Corey Fuller WRF Virginia Tech or Matt Furstenburg TE Maryland or **Oday Aboushi OT VirginiFurstenburg is fast for a TE but small hands. Corey Fuller? I'd take Marcus Davis instead, his WR-mate. Aboushi is a Marrone guy.
  21. Bwah Hah Hah! Welcome to my world! Like moths to a flame! One of my "fans" at DraftTek says that the Vikings won't see anything at #8 to trade up for---what do you think?
  22. DraftTek is a computer program. It has no love for specific players. It won't reach. There's a Big Board, adjusted weekly, and Team Positional Needs, adjusted by me every other day or so. Right now, QB, WR, and ILB are all evenly-ranked as our highest need. Wilson's the highest-ranked player who is a QB, WR, or ILB in RD2. And, since the Big Board editors don't think as much of Nassib, etc. than the general public, Wilson fell to RD3 in the 2nd Minnesota sim.
  23. Actually I'd rather have a 2014 pick from MIN and one of their RD1's.
