  1. I'm sticking with EJ Manuel, providing weapons and protection for him, and taking a Day 3 QB. RD1- A Seferian-Jenkins Washington 6'6" 266 TE It helps to have weapons to throw to. Gragg-Chandler-Smith give EJ a 1 in 3 chance of catching the ball. AS-J has great hands, can block, and can cause mismatches that a WR can't. RD2- Brandon Coleman Rutgers 6'6" 220 WRF The Bills need a huge WR, again to create mismatches. Coleman has underrated straight-line speed when he's up to top gear. Long strider. Could improve with consistency in contested situations and high pointing. RD3- La'el Collins LSU 6'5" 321 OT OG He's the LSU LT this year, but I'd put him between Wood and Glenn. He's powerful, played mostly at OG before this year, with 64 knockdown blocks in 2012. RD4- DeVante Parker Louisville 6'3" 205 WRF The more film I watch on Bridgewater, the more I like DeVante Parker. RD5- Trey Millard Oklahoma 6'1" 256 FB We need to think about replacing Fred Jackson at some point. Millard has a 5.7 ypc and he's a receiver too--7.1 yards per catch. He's the thunder for Spiller's lightning. RD6- Jeff Mathews Cornell 6'3" 225 QB EJ insurance. I've watched him for 3 years, and think he's got "it". Has size and arm. We're likely looking for a Number 2 but I like his chances. Still needs footwork. RD7- Jon Halapio Florida 6'3" 322 OG Grab a Florida game and watch Halapio. He'd be a good pickup here. UDFA- Jeremiah Sirles Nebraska 6'6" 312 ROT LOT High-motor, versatile. See him kicking into smaller space at Guard. Another Urbik IMHO. Kirby Van der Camp Iowa State 6'3" 211 P Yep, trying again. Bringing in a punter to battle Moorman.
  2. A couple of my recent posts on Twitter: #Bills Da'Norris Searcy leads all Safeties in NHL in passes defensed, according to ProFootballFocus's Premium Stats. http://bit.ly/1ij3a8f #Bills Jairus Byrd is working his way back. The NFL Rating of QBs throwing into his coverage has been 39.6
  3. Kyle Williams is rated by ProFootballFocus Premium Stats as 11th against the run out of 42 DEs playing the 3-4. Alan Branch is 16th. Carrington was 18th, and former PS player Corbin Bryant has worked his way up to 23rd. The Bills defense is now the 8th-ranked team against the run (Jets and Chiefs are #1 and 2). Marcell Dareus is 11th of 69 3-4 DTs ahainst the run. He is #1 in tackles and stops. Rushbacker Jerry Hughes is 8th-rated of 41 OLBs against the run. OLB34 Manny Lawson's 31 tackles, who is out for NO, is second only to Terrell Suggs' 32 tackles, and Hughes is 10th among the 41 OLBs, ahead of Kerrigan, Orakpo, Clay Matthews and Kruger.

  5. ^ ^ ^ this. Oh, and of course the exorcism!
  6. It's down to me and another guy in a "Bills Face" Contest. Please vote for me. --Astro http://buffalowdown.com/2013/10/05/winners-show-us-bills-face/ - Vote for Dean
  7. Sorry But your post had too many run-on sentences. I'm sure you made many strong points...in each sentence.
  8. Pooling all your feedback, we have: P1=BPA-Playmaker (look here for current draft); Put GRAB on Marqise Lee, Jadeveon Clowney (I'm not a Louis Nix fan yet) P2=DE34/NT/DT34 (preferably run-stopper, blindside DE who can sack the QB) P2=LT or OG, TE, OLB34 (Set OG at M5 for depth. I think Chiefs will let Upstate NY native Branden Albert walk after this season) P3=S, OC depth, RBF (feature running back) P3=CB (reasoning: we have 2 first rounders; they're just injured) (Move S to P4 if they wrap up Byrd) P4=LT, RT, WRF P6=QB, FB, DE, ILB (No such thing as P5, P7, or P8) All others are P9, which rarely get selected by DraftTek's computer. Will submit these and see what DRAFTSIM finds for us...Could be drafting in the #3-#11 spot based on Analyst votes.

  10. Right now, I have CB as our P1 need, with a M3 (a second CB as early as Round 3). I have OG and TE as our Priority 2's. P3's are Safety, OC, and OLB34. LT, RT, RBF (feature running back) are P4. P6's are QB, FB, DE, ILB. All others are P9, which rarely get selected by DraftTek's computer. What we decide will go here with every other team's positional needs, and the new mock next week will reflect everyone's changes: Don't know what I'm talking about? Read the top paragraph here.
  11. I just realized that McKelvin is a pivotal piece in the Draft 2014. Completions in his area are fewer percentagewise than Revis through 2 games. I would think TE-OG would be the result if McKelvin keeps this up.
  12. I changed my Bills shirt to a throwback. Still don't know why it took me so long to realize it. Sorry. (Slinks away from forum)
  13. More stats from updated ProFootballFocus.com: Mario Williams is tied for 2nd in QB Hurries with Robert Mathis. Freeney's first. Mario Williams leads Aldon Smith 5-4 in the Sacks Race. Kerrigan, J Houston, and Mathis each have 3. Fred Jackson is PFF's 4th-rated HB overall, behind McCoy, Vereen, and Sproles. What's-His-Initials is 46th. #statslie Cordy is now PFF's 2nd-ranked overall LT. Pears is 11th ranked RT Of 97 TEs in the NFL, Chandler has yet to get untracked. He's 90th. Lee Smith is 76th. CB and TE are my P1 and P2. EJManuel is tied for 2nd with Cutler and Dalton for least-sacked with 1. Sam Bradford is first. EJManuel3 5th in completion percentage behind Dalton, Romo, Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers.
  14. EJ Manuel is the 5th QB since 1960 to have a 4th quarter comeback in either the 1st or 2nd game of his career. Stevie was wearing a mike during the game, so that should be fun to hear. Bills OL yielded just one sack (Mikell). Newton 183 pass, Manuel 287. Newton 15 rush, Manuel 13. Newton 1 for 3 in the red zone, Manuel 2 for 3 including game winner. Manuel Out-Cammed Cam. J-Gun Offense: CJ 6.4 ypc, 103 yds; EJ 27 for 39 for 296 1 td; SJ 111 yds 1 td; FJ 1 td. Pettine Zoo: Williams, Williams, and Williams had 24 tackles combined; Kiko-Searcy-Moats added 25 more. Mario has arrived. Beat Bruuuuce's single-game sack record with 4.5. D kept Deangelo to 5 carries 4 yards, 1 carry for 8 yards. Now he's 7 for 22. Ramping my DraftTek positional needs for TE up to second-highest priority. Also Searcy forces S up as well. Justin Rodgers. awful. He's the reason I am keeping CB as our P1 need, and adding a Multiple setting that triggers in RD4. I was wrong about Alan Branch. He's gumming up the middle quite well.
  15. Aaron Williams: 12 tackles but "costly" out of bounds hit, Kiko Alonso: 10 tackles, sack, TFL, and a PBU. Mario: 4.5 sacks, 4 TFL, 4 QB Hits. PettineZoo.
  16. Kuechly was a monster all game with like 14 tackles. Still would have him on my team. It's the "J-GUN" offense, with SJ getting winning TD from EJ, CJ 6.4 ypc, 103 yds; EJ 27 for 39 for 296 1 td; SJ 111 yds 1 td; FJ 1 td. Kudos to the Pettine Zoo for defending 2 inside the red zone for NO touchdowns. Mario with record 4.5 sacks beats Bruce
  17. The Bills' 4.47 yard average for runs up-the-middle ranks 10th in NFL for all teams running in that spot after one week. We'll see how that shakes out, but I think it improves. We ran 10th after running vs Wilfork-Tommy Kelly et al. A couple teams above us don't deserve the higher ranking. Also, I liked our goal-line stand: pic.twitter.com/5Ll0HbmcdJ
  18. Why was the page on the Bills site listing the 3 teams that were possible trades now gone? http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/09/05/teams-that-can-afford-or-need-safety-help/ BTW, the teams listed were Philly, Jax and Cleve
  19. Our List of eligibles for the PS: QB Thad Lewis RB Zach Brown RB Kendall Gaskins WR Brandon Kaufman WR Da'Rick Rogers TE Nick Provo T Zebrie Sanders G Zack Chibane G Keith Williams C David Snow C Ryan Turnley DL Izaan Cross OLB Jamie Blatnick OLB Kourtnei Brown OLB Keith Pough ILB Brian Smith CB Crezdon Butler CB Kip Edwards CB T.J. Heath CB Jumal Rolle S Jordan Dangerfield S Dominique Ellis Of our CBs, I like Butler the most as I think he's malleable (Rolle isn't). Bobby Felder did well against us in the MIN game. My Bills PS players would be Lewis QB, Kaufman WR, Rogers WR, Gaskins RB, Blatnick OLB, Sanders (would move to OG), Felder CB, and Chris Greenwood CB, who we saw when playing the Lions.
  20. CB Drew Thomas St Louis Rams http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=115130&draftyear=2013&genpos=CB
  21. I'm glad EJ is going to practice today. But there's no practice.
