  1. If the Bills get a 2nd for TH, they would pick near the 40th pick, the 50th pick, and the 80th pick of the draft. Bernie's Insiders ranks the players 1-100. here I did some further work (picking near the 112th and 144th), but here's my selection: 37. Josh Bullocks Safety, 6-0, 205, 4.45, Nebraska 48. Adam Terry OT, 6-8, 300, Syracuse 80. Mike Nugent, K, 5-10, 180, The Ohio State University 114. Anthony Bryant, DT, 6’2” 336, Alabama 146. Chris Myers, OG, 6’5” 300, Miami Give your picks for the Bills. You must stay within 5 picks either way of the 40th pick, the 50th pick, and the 80th pick.

  3. Had we picked up Trotter when we had the chance, this would have been a better idea. The one move I'd like to see would be to get just compensation for Travis Henry. TD is asking for a 2nd or a 3rd plus a player. I'd be happy with the 3rd plus a #3 WR or a #3 DB.
  4. Read The Dampness Diet. Lots of good gout stuff in there.
  5. I'll go out on a limb and say NO WAY we pick a WR on Day 1 of the draft. I'd also bet that our #3 will be a FA, and might figure in a TH trade. I'd also bet that Aiken stays the year as our #4, with Fast Freddie as our #5.
  6. Very thorough post, joesz! Well thought out and researched. It will only get more interesting from now until Training Camp. The one thing I might change would be to try and extend Clements instead of getting another TE.
  7. A guy named Carlos Diaz (San Antonio) from Lair of Horror owns Losman.com We're DOOMED!
  8. Porn Star's not a choice? I'll take Rock Star, but all three would be short-lived careers! You'd spend your 40's through 80's in a trailer down by the river.
  9. A logo is only as good as the teams who wore it. Think of the worst-looking logos in the league (Indy, Green Bay). But these logos became great because the teams were great during the logo's tenure. Now think of the new Cardinals logo. Not bad update, but we don't like it because the team sux.
  10. JPL's most potent target at Tulane was Roydell Williams (WR). He averaged 82.6 yards per game connecting up with JP. Roydell is ranked on value boards at mid-4th to early 5th right now. Look for TD to make a play for JP's most favorite target.
  11. When you hold your nose and blow, does it feel better or worse? When you yawn, does it feel better or worse?
  12. If Stephen LaFors from Louisville were available in the 4th, I'd take him. And if Jason White from Oklahoma were around in RD#5, he'd be a consideration. Other than that, I'd take my chances with FA's.
  13. Welcome, Poeticlaw. Nice Post. "Let Form Follow Function"--The function of your post stirred some thought. The form is less important on a bulletin board. Some of the younger posters, for whom the medium has become the "massage", tend to confuse The Stadium Wall with The New York Times, their psychiatrist, and their physician. If you need info on how to deal with the growth caused by a bite from a Poison Dart Tree Frog, don't log on and post. Go to the right place (No, not WebMD. Try 911--you have 4 minutes.). On the other hand, if you have posts of the caliber of your first one, bring 'em. Astro
  14. My favorite second half commercials 1. AmeriQuest: Tomato Sauce Cat 2. Tabasco Girl, reverse suntan 3. Anhaeuser-Busch: Soldiers Applauded at Airport 4. Career Builder.com Monkeys and Whoopee Cushion and naming the Titanic AmeriQuest wins the evening, I think, with Pepsi, and Lays Shut Out. Great Game--for once, better than the commercials...
  15. My Top 5 of the First Half, in no order: 1. Ford: Convertible Frozen Guy in Mustang 2. GoDaddy.Com 3. AmericQuest "You're Getting Robbed" with the Taser 4. Degree "Mama's Boy Action Figure" 5. Career Builder "I work with a bunch of monkeys"
  16. I bet one guy 3-1 on $25 that the Eagles would win. I bet another guy even money on $50 that the Pats would win. Either way, I win $25.
  17. I'm with Brandon. Pats 31-17. The only hope Eagles have is Time of Possession. Sustained drives with no mistakes. If McNabb shows he will run early enough, the best plays may be McNabb running toward the line, watching what the LB and S do, and throwing it if they come off the receivers for McNabb. Likewise, using Westbrook keeps that clock running. Four yards at a time with 3-4 drives of 7 minutes each.
  18. Bernies Insideres ranks Jason Brown as the #1 Center in the draft. It'd be a steal in Round 3.
  19. Rich--I like the idea of not messing around with OL and CB in the draft. My picks reflect the same FA moves. Round2: OLB Michael Boley (So. Mississippi) --Senior Bowl didn't showcase Boley's blitz game because they didn't allow blitzing. He'll be around at our pick. Round3: WR Fred Gibson (Georgia)--Good blocking, big, and tall, ranked in the top 10 in the draft. We'd have a 3-some that could be tops in YAC yardage. Round4: C Scott Mruczkowski, Purdue--nominated for 2004 Rotary Lombardi Award (best lineman in college football) ... also nominated for 2004 Rimington Trophy which is given to the nation's top center ... helped lead the Falcons in scoring offense (43.6), pass offense (335.6), total offense (501.6), turnover margin (1.36) and sacks against (1.00) per game...also helped the team to a 4.7 yards per rush, which ranks second in the MAC. Round5: CB Alphonso Hodge, Miami-Ohio--has experience with playing both man to man and zone coverages. He shows good ability to turn and run with receivers. Hodge posseses good speed and can keep up with most receivers. Strengths: tackling, closing speed, physicality Round6: OT Rian Melander-Minnesota --tabbed as the 10th-best offensive tackle in the nation, part of an offensive line that is rated second in the nation by Lindy’s , great quickness and technique who excels as a pass blocker protecting the quarterback’s blindside... a self-made man who has become the player he is through hard work. Round7: MLB Robert McCune-Louisville--Team leader in tackles with 143.... registered eight double-digit tackle games ... second on the team with four sacks ...
  20. Patriots, 31-17 Not even close.
  21. It's your battery. Have you replaced your battery (the little round disk one) in the last 3-4 years?
  22. Never come to a Football Fan website with a medical complaint.
  23. The seller doesn't want negative feedback. Keep after them. Media Mail can take 3 weeks. After 20 days, threaten with negative feedback, and if you don't hear from them, post it. I posted negative feedback too early in the process and regretted it. Turns out I could have gotten this seller to bend on price, send me another item, etc., but I was too impatient.
  24. He had troubles in practice getting used to the 3 QB's he was hiking to (3 botched snaps that I saw), but he did fine in the game. He comes off the hike quickly, and gets right into his block.
  25. The Mock Draft above has Kevin Everett, arguably the #4 Tight End in the draft, being picked by the Bills. Matt Roth, the #5, is being shown going before Everett, and would make a better TE for our run game. With some luck, Marcus Spears, the #4 or #5 DE could fall to us, and would make me happier. Ernest Shazor, the Safety out of Michigan, is ranked #3, and could also fall. We should think about depth at Safety, but haven't had good luck growing our own, so to speak. Maybe we address this in FA.
