  1. Downfield blocking for our offense is going to be important. The 5 yard limit on cornerbacks adds blocking to the wish list when searching for a competent wide receiver. Moulds and Evans, and Aiken for that matter, can be seen blocking for each other quite effectively downfield. My guess is we pick up a tough WR adept at blocking, so I did some research into their draft bio's. I starred some. 2nd-3rd Round or Thereabouts: Fred Gibson - OK blocker * Reggie Brown - very strong, solid * Terrence Murphy - strong, sturdy frame...Tough, not a #1 receiver * Mark Bradley - Explosive, benefited by playing opposite Clayton Later Picks: * Vincent Jackson - 6'4", 241 Strong...good hands...Will jump over DBs to make the grab...good punt returner * Brandon Jones - 6'1", 210 solid build...Has good hands...strong, powerful...very physical...Isn't afraid to block...excellent ST player. * Craphonso Thorpe - great leaper, can outjump CBs...Tough player who is willing to block. Moving up some value boards. Last Picks: * Larry Brackins - Raw (community college)..tremendous leaper...Very strong...amazing natural athlete...decent speed and quickness..physical, willing blocker..Good RAC. * Roydell Williams - Tulane WR......Tough, very strong...Not afraid to go over the middle for a catch...Has very solid hands. I don't think we'll be drafting WR in the early rounds, so I was interested in the "Value Receivers" the most. Jackson, Jones, and Williams interest me the most. Would like your input, both on where you think WR will be drafted, and any info on players.
  2. He didn't look that good during Senior Bowl practices.
  3. This is very well thought out, and in the spirit of this thread, which Tipster was looking for. I think DeMulling is definitely a Guard, and think that Gandy might also be. He and Villarial will be in the mix for RG, with Williams still at RT. So Shelton is a must-sign. That leaves Center. I think we need a beefier Center, probably from the draft at this point, so I do what I can to get Ben Wilkerson, 6'4", 300 lbs., from LSU. Wheatley would be good at RB#2, and I'm happy with Shaud Williams as a #3; glad we got rid of Burns. I love the Kevin Johnson signing at WR, although I'm satisfied with Moulds-Evans-Aiken-Reed with Losman firing at them (Reed and Aiken will benefit from Losman's style over Bledsoe's). I don't care one way or the other about Ty Law--Money will talk on that one. I would try to re-sign NC but wouldn't break the bank--just franchise him. My RD#3 pick would be Miami's Kevin Everett at TE and RD#4 would be WR Roydell Williams from JP's school, Tulane.

  5. Yup. She was wearing a black tight sweater, off one of her shoulders. I was talking to my buddy and I just plain forgot what I was tlaking about. Their gyros are the best in Rochester, with Aladdin's a close 2nd.
  6. Edwards without pixy outfit
  7. Had a couple of Jack Manhattans and played guitars at the neighbor's. His wife made salmon/garlic mashed potatoes and later we watched Flight of the Phoenix. Good flick. Going out for b-fast at the Dutchess in Penfield.
  8. Franks is the best run-blocking TE out there, plus he can catch the ball. With our line a big question mark, and the outside rush that Maiami and the Jets can muster, we could use someone with the blocking ability of Franks.
  9. If signings tell us where a club is headed, the AZ Cardinals just signed another Tackle, that Roos guy. Shelton's gone--to us or Da Bears.
  10. How about a 5th or 6th Rounder named Victor McClure from Tennessee? 6-4/310...
  11. This is a job for TD (to bring in the O-Line that can run-block), McNally (to see what he can do with the O-Line), and Clements (who has to keep the rush defense guessing). Give me Ritcher and Ballard, Counter Trey Right, with McGahee in the backfield, and see how many 0's and negs we have.
  12. Ned, you're not gettin' a Dell. Or a job in the NFL. You stole a laptop, Your life did a flipflop, Wonder if K-Mart has shoes for you to sell.
  13. I don't think it's just me; I think TD gets the job with Shelton next. He needs to get this one done so he can see what the cap looks like. Then he looks at CB. Should he make the offer to Clements before his FA Year begins? Won't hurt to try. Don't believe the smoke about Law coming here. Remember that in a year, McGee will be that much better, and the CB he drafts fairly high this year will probably be candidate for the nickel. Finally, he'll check in with the doctors and assess the prognosis for TE's. Will one be ready for training camp? Should he draft one or make a bid for one now?
  14. Yep. Let's see...we got an NFL starter to back up a high potential rookie who takes risks sometimes. Sounds like Silver Fox Magic.
  15. Kelly Holcomb is a major step in the plan. His Pct. passing has improved every year for the last 5 years (now 67%). His QB Rating is consistently higher than Drew's was. He'd be the consummate backup and a superb teacher for what Losman needs to learn about being an NFL starter. He's locked in for 4 years. Why did Crennel pussyfoot around with this guy? Hooray for TD!
  16. I bet Marlowe wrote this, not you.
  17. To me, Losman looks like a cross between Joe Namath and Chachi.
  18. Weren't the Chiefs trying for Rolle?
  19. I agree. Who wants to see a team full of FA's, 6th Rounders, and other teams' castoffs? Oh, wait. That's the Patriots.
  20. Robots! I am a big fan of animation. I own all of Pixar's films, as well as some others (Wallace and Grommit the most notable). I have TruSpace3, Poser, and Bryce. Computer rendering is keen.
  21. Oopps...minor in traction--uh, infraction.
  22. ...As long as it's Travis Minor he's picking up.
  23. Blindside OT.
  24. I understood what he meant. Everything getting through that faux fur, Georgie?
  25. Indy makes sense. If Edge wins his attempt to get out of Indy. It's a Cliff Clavin fact that The Colts have added 18 free agents to their active roster since the end of the 2004 season.
