  1. Just look at the O-Line picks still on the board: Brooks and Baas at Guard (some here like Buenning, too) Wilkerson and Carter at Center Scott, Munoz and Britt at Tackle Still good corners, too... Some boards had Marlin Jackson and Brandon Browner pretty high, and folks here like Corey Webster...

  3. Pathon Troy Edwards Charles Lee Pathon wins my vote from those 3. Pathon's YPC last year was 17.1 (highest of the three in the past 2 years), and his 50 first downs is highest as well.
  4. It could shake out like this very easily. So much the better for the Bills. Again, Rich, thanks for doing this again. It's a lot of fun to go through the same kind of thinking process the GM's have to do.
  5. Oooh! I think I just got that picture! Not a pretty one. Flat Statue...
  6. Astro sends your friend and kids warm thoughts and prayers.
  7. Please put "OT" on this post. It means off topic. The title, "Finally" sounds like TD actually signed someone for the O-Line.
  8. While this is true, the bigger problem was the statue in the pocket. Losman will be able to break plays better, and (IMHO) throw to the WR's and TE's over the LB's better.
  9. Yes. We're set on the Offensive Line.
  10. Okay, it's not great, but it's not beyond repair--even if it is Porkchop-less. 1. Shelton is still out there as LT, moving Teague back to his familiar place (for now), and Smith and Gandy to backup at C and G, respectively. 2. We'll draft a competent C to begin learning the position in the early rounds of the draft. I'd still like Wilkerson-Carter in RD#2 or Brown in RD#3. 3. Throw out the PGH game and the O-Line was strong the last 6-7 games even with a statue back there. We're adding Houdini at QB. 4. The sun will come up tomorrow (even if it is obscured by clouds)
  11. I for sure do not want a player new to LT (Gandy, DeMulling, Womack included) defending the blind side. Nugent won't be there. And I believe we're looking deeper into the draft for our #3 or 4 WR (I still expect Moulds-Evans-Aiken will be 1-3).
  12. None of the above. LT Shelton (straight up for our 3rd Rounder) LG DeMulling C Teague with RD#2 Vince Carter or Wilkerson easing in RG Villy RT Willy
  13. TH will be more valuable at Trainiing Camp time when the first running back goes down. Teams counting on a backup runner might make a #3 2006 pick, or a #3-->2 conditional pick at that time. Think of the Jaguars, for example, if Fred Taylor has an injury in Preseason, and they're looking at LaBrandon Toefield as a 6 week replacement.

  15. As I recall Moats had some character issues. He'd still be a good value if not taken by the 4th, though. Just to keep the Fins from selecting him, for example.
  16. I'll take Jacksonville again. Astrobot
  17. Long Division Question: How many times will 50 go into 18?
  18. Rochester NY /56/ Penfield NY
  19. You have to wonder: (1) if we're the worst at finding good OL talent. I doubt it, but your list is impressing me on one thing--it's way less of a shoo-in than you think. (2) I hope we're not adding MW to the list down the line. (3) Would a #2 on Baas, Brooks, Brown, Carter or Wilkerson be just as much of a bust?
  20. I disagree. The Bills brass have to look at position as well as price. Is there a Tackle in the draft you want on JP's blind side? No. Is there a Tackle in FA better than what Womack could do? Probably Not.
  21. You have to wonder what's going on inside TD's head besides the dollars and cents issues. Is he thinking that Womack is the best fit for the Bills? Womack has had experience at Guard/Tackle. Shelton's a tackle, DeMulling's first and foremost a guard. The prospect of having Peters or Teague at Left Tackle must be weighing heavily on his mind. IMHO, Arizona wants the draft pick TD will use to grab the best Center available (Centers are often a 2nd rounder, not a first), so Shelton's probably out of the mix, and DeMulling's $3 million demands (plus the small detail he's not a tackle) are making this easier for TD--Get some Pork Chop in here!
  22. Well said! Add to this the benefit of having Law as a bargaining chip when dealing with Nate, and having the Law-Clements for a year as tutors for McGee. If Law is unready by Game 1 of the real season, he'd still be a superb mentor on a 1-year contract.
  23. The Lions = The Little Engine That Could
  24. Our TE, whoever he is, will have to be good at cutting the rushing DE, because unless we decide on some Tackles, we'll need the TE to cutblock on every play.
  25. When and if we sign Nate (and I'm for signing him at $6M per year) the first thing MM should do is take him off freakin' punt return duty. That's an accident waiting to happen, and he's not worth the 5 extra yards he might get. We have other punt returners on the squad, and there are some good WR in the draft who return kicks.
