  1. eball, I thought it was the line of the day! LOL!
  2. I think we'll be spelling Vick S-C-H-A-U-B for most of the game.
  3. "There looks to be Plaster of Paris on his nose..."
  4. I think the rankings are going to change again when the Stillers kick the Pats. The Bengals will win this week and move up 1, and the Bucs will throttle Green Bay and move up 2.
  5. You may be right. We have a chance against the Falcons. The Saints (McAlister looking very average, QB Brooks is their only rusher) is a win. We can squish fish twice this year, and I think we can beat the Jets in our house. The Raiders may be trouble, although it gives Nate a chance to go up against Moss, Kerry Collins is boring (45% completions), and their defense is worse than TBay.
  6. Good: --> Angelo Crowell showed he can give London Fletcher some breaks. Crowell finished the game and still ended up 5th on the team in tackles. --> McGee continues to impress. He had a chance to really impress with a dropped INT but he held his own opposite Clements, and led everyone with 7 tackles, and a 35-yard average on KR's. --> Lawyer Milloy and Troy Vincent are still the best safety tandem. Bad: --> I would have expected a better game plan from Tom Clements today. --> The OLine needs time to get in synch, and they don't have any. ATL next week.
  7. Boys win this one, but not because of Bledsoe vs. Greggo. I'm convinced Parsells can run a football team and the Skins can't. I'm convinced the Cowboys have protection for DB to get to his 2nd read and the Bills --ahem Skins-- don't. I'm convinced the Skins are still freefalling and the Cowboys are rebuilding.
  8. I'm thinking of going out to Woody's today for the game. I wondered if I might have some of my own species out there. Anyone going there? Astro
  9. Congratulations, Jay! Strong Work! To make it work for you, you must now use your homework time to do something you've wanted to accomplish, but haven't had the time. What might that be?
  10. The Bills win the coin flip and choose to kick off. The first O-play is C. Williams for a gain of 1.
  11. Pressure Griese. Inside D-Line Pressures will force Griese to do what does worst: Improvise. Look for Sam Adams to get a game ball for his pressure, and for Ron Edwards to be instrumental in a key turnover. BTW, I was pretty close last week saying Troy Vincent would have a huge game. This week, it's Sam's turn.
  12. You gotta love the Horatio Alger story of our coach. He loves this game, and --for now-- everybody loves him. The Wyche-MM story is also the stuff from which movies are made. Maybe someday.
  13. I kept thinking ours looked too much like the Colts' away unis. That said, if the Bills keep winning in the throwbacks, keep 'em on. Don't even wash them.
  14. Mularkey was a master this week. He articulated that his game plan would be a conservative ball control run first offense. So what do they do? Come out with a wide open spread formation offense. In their first 5 times with the ball, the Bills score 5 times. So if MM talks this week about his game plan, ignore.
  15. Who was the last QB to get a win in his first NFL start? David Carr in 2002.
  16. How long would a steak dinner for the O-Line be--What...30-35 seconds?
  17. Agreed. Gandy was superb, and J Peters ought to get a New York Strip for his TD catch!
  18. Troy Vincent. Forced Fumble, INT, and a sack.
  19. Play Action Pass to Mark Campbell, 12 yard gain.
  20. Awesome. The stories like yours make the reality of it hit home. Glad you're safe.
  21. Look again. The OT had a choice that Jerry Gray forced. He sends the blitzer to the LT's right, and then the DE moves in. Most O-Line coaches would tell you to take the inside blitzer; the RB needs to pick up the outside (DE) rusher.
  22. Good Call. I'm wrong. Ritzmann's first 2 sacks came vs. the 1st preseason game Colts in the 4th Quarter, sacking our good friend Travis Brown. His 3rd came in the 2nd preseason game vs the Packers also in the 4th quarter. However, 1. Gause and Ritzmann had similar exposure in the preseason, and the heavier George came up on the lighter side. Ritzmann had 4 sacks, Gause 0. That cooked Gause's goose. 2. Ritzmann doubled the efforts of all other DE's combined. Kelsay had one sack in the preseason, and Schobel one sack. The others (and there were many) were made by linebackers, safeties, and CB's.
  23. Love It! Even the slam on those New Orleans wimps: "People have told me a Buffalo blizzard seems pretty tame after what happened this past week in New Orleans. But I've come to believe that harsh winters do make for tougher people." Just Kidding.
  24. Me Too. Live in Rochester, and except for a little Silly String which "eats" the lettering, my Bledsoe jersey need not perish.
  25. 4 sacks Yeah, he's not big enough, but he's a high-motor guy that takes the right angle. I watched a few preseason games again and noticed how Jerry Gray makes it happen. He puts their LT in the unenviable position of having to choose between a blitzing CB, FS, or LB going between the G and the T, or moving out to get Ritzmann. It was this way for 3 of the 4 sacks he had. I was one of the guys who hoped we wouldn't take Dwight Freeney because he was too light. The defensive braintrust has already chosen between Gause (large DE) vs. Ritzmann. I'd like to see more of this Freeney wannabe.
