  1. Good point. Substitute Crowell for O-Line. Fletcher and Crowell had more tackles (23) than these top tacklers combined: J. Allen 4-0 E. Hicks 3-1 D. Johnson 3-3 S. Knight 3-7 K. Mitchell 3-1 P. Surtain 3-1 G. Wesley 3-2
  2. I liked Jefferson. He had 2 guys on the 3 plays I saw him in there.
  3. I'm interested in who you'd pick to give game balls to. 1. I'm giving one BillsBall to Evans, whose 33-yards per catch average and 2 TD's made the Bills able to carry out their "Pass a Lot With Your Young QB" game plan. 2. Losman gets one BillsBall for his 124 QB Rating. 3. The Offensive Line gets one BillsBall to share. They had to handle a shakeup in positions, deal with decent pressure, and protect a young QB. 4. Schobel played like a man possessed today. He was working the tackle, and caused numerous hurries. 5. My 5th BILLSBall goes to London Fletcher. He (again) led the team in tackles, goaded the offense, forced an offensive false start, and was all over the field.
  4. I vote this Poll of the Year.
  5. We'd be closer to a 3-4, wouldn't we? Get a NT, go with Takeo, Crowell, Fletcher, and Posey?
  6. Bennie Anderson in for MW. On the 2nd TD play, Losman had Campbell wide open but threw underneath.
  7. Asante Samuel is the early goat.
  8. That's the first shutout of the Pats since...oh yes, 2003, when we whupped the Pats 31-0. May history repeat itself.
  9. --Oakland's rushing has been anemic of late. Raiders had only 39 net yards rushing. --Oakland still commits penalties like we do. --Kerry Collins won't get it done passing against our zone blitz. --The Chargers exposed Oakland's weak defense vs. the no-huddle. The Chargers scored 24 points in the opening half using lots of no-huddle. --Moss is gimpy. --Oakland's ratio of rushing 1st downs to passing 1st downs is skewed toward passing--Buffalo's strength. --Oakland will be missing its backup center, Jake Grove. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and likely will miss three to four weeks. They will also be missing their LG, Langston Walker. --I think Williams and Sapp are an impressive interior DL, but that Oakland may be vulnerable on its right side. RDE Tommy Kelly and RLB Grant Irons can be run upon, and passed upon. Watch for more of what we saw today next week. --We will win because we now believe we can win.
  10. Dennis is right. The zone blitzes we use are a high-risk, high-reward type of scheme. We look great 3 out of 4 times, and look like eediots on the other.
  11. Greetings From Beau Rochestre!
  12. Source "The Jets should be able to exploit the high-ranked Buffalo secondary..... Buffalo doesn’t nearly possess the powerful defense that it has had in recent memory. The Bills are vulnerable in the secondary. I expect more balls down the field and that’s exactly why the Jets brought Vinny in. " Uh, hello? Clements, McGee, Vincent and Milloy are the NFL's best pass defender quartet. And you brought Methusaleh Testaverde in because your #1 QB can't throw, your #2 QB can't play, and you didn't have confidence in your #3 QB. "The other advantage the Jets will have in this game is their defensive line, which has really been playing well since the second week of the season. They have the opportunity to manhandle a Bills’ offensive line that has received great criticism in this young season due to the lack of protection they have provided their quarterbacks." Great bulletin board material. I loved the pictures on TSW yesterday showing the protection the line gave KH. They'll be motivated again tomorrow against the Jets' decent D-Line.
  13. Man, I think the Jets are in deep trouble. You have a guy who's on the wrong side of 40, who wasn't in minicamp, or preseason, for the Jets. He doesn't have the downfield pass, he won't have the "touch" on fades or down-and-outs. You have Curtis Martin, overworked and on the wrong side of 3.3 yards a carry without LaMont Jordan to spell him anymore. We have good corners, and we have the most diverse blitz package in the NFL. Who the Jets have behind Testaverde?
  14. Jason Peters and T McGee would be my favorites. I look forward to rooting for Roscoe, and I like TE backups Everett / Euhus, but I'll be patient there.
  15. Post of the Year, AKC. Props to You. I was impressed with your research about Willis having the least carries of the top 7 RB's, and the possibility that he'd be higher given the fact that most RB's get a lot of reps late in the game. I guess we punt.
  16. It's the real game of inches (well, football and porn are, but...). Willis has had the opportunity to make some long, deep penetrations, and has just come up short...
  17. Melding Parrish, Everett, Gandy, JP, and others into the offense so they know what they're doing on hot reads. Keeping London Fletcher healthy, because our LB strength is now average at best. If this means giving Haggan some reps, so be it. 4-4 at the break. The Saints then 2 home games coming up would help. 8-8 overall. That was what we expected to begin with, and I still think it'd be a successful season.
  18. And the Jints have Brandon Jacobs, a 256-lb. RB we were touting here at draft time. Jason Peters will be used here and again from the OT-eligible spot. We'll have Roscoe and Everett in due time, and the O-Line will have more time working with each other to allow JP, Moulds, Evans, and McG to work their strengths.
  19. Where's the f--- you icon when you need it? "the smelly, urine throwing Mehecanos"???
  20. FakeFat?...
  21. The levee's broken twice. Gray and Co. had better reflect on what they've done --and can do differently-- to rebuild on higher ground. Troy Vincent was horrible today. Milloy isn't there. Spikes was slow at signaling a call. Adams' offsides penalty. Edwards not creating PW-like pressure. The meager defensive highlights were Denny's good hands on 2 plays, Crowell trying hard to fill in for Spikes, Nate on 2 plays, and McGee on one play.
  22. Why wouldn't every team in the NFL do this on Wednesdays to avoid the blackout rule on Thursdays?
  23. Falcons were the NFL's #1 running offense last year against what I consider the #2-3 defense this year. It'll be a low-scoring game vs. a gimpy Vick, and continued woes for the Bills in the Red Zone. ATL, 13-9.
  24. I thought Crowell did a pretty good job. Creowell was 5th in Tackles on the Day, even though he didn't play the whole game.
