  1. Okay--the BILLS have no second string.
  2. These two signings would also help our draft. We'd be able to trade down, focus on BPA a bit more, and bring in some talent in more flashy areas.
  3. The thong has no second string.
  4. The rolling stoned gathers no Moss.
  5. I'd take Bunkley too at that #18 spot, but that's dependent on getting Fabini Then in RD#3a we could draft Whitworth.
  6. A Possible Scenario. 1.) Houston - Reggie Bush 2.) New Orleans - Matt Leinart 3.) Tennessee - D'Brickashaw Ferguson (over Vince Young or Cutler) 4.) New York - Mario Williams (replacing Abraham) 5.) Green Bay - A.J. Hawk 6.) San Francisco - Vernon Davis 7.) Oakland - Jay Cutler (vertical passing game) 8.) Buffalo - Here we have Ngata / Lendale White / Justice / Young / Huff / or (hopefully) a trade-down. St. Louis at #11 wanted Huff or Vernon Davis. They watch Davis go to SF, and call us to trade up so they can take Huff before Detroit nabs him at #9. The trade chart shows they need to offer a 3rd (Pick #75) and a 5th (Pick #139) to move up. Here's what could then transpire: 8. St. Louis -- Huff 9. Detroit -- Ngata 10. Arizona -- Lendale White 11. Buffalo-- Here, Justice or Young are still available, or a trade-down. Three teams want Santonio Holmes: Philly at 14, Dallas at 18, and San Diego at 19. San Diego. We trade with Dallas, and our 11 to 18 drop nets us their #2 (Pick #47). 11. Dallas--Santonio Holmes 12. Cleveland-- Chad Greenway 13. Baltimore--D'Angelo Williams 14. Philadelphia--Young 15. Atlanta--Jimmy Williams 16. Miami--Winston Justice 17. Minnesota--Laurence Maroney 18. Buffalo--Marcus McNeil OT In Round 2, the Bills pick 40th and 41st. They find Charles Spencer OG and Antonio Cromartie CB.
  7. I'm wondering if frogger means Anthony Smith from Syracuse.
  8. Change your name.
  9. The Broncos may be waiting to see what's going to happen, but Eric's under contract. Trade Moulds for a conditional pick in next year's draft, or Moulds and our higher 3rd-Rounder for their lower first rounder. A great place to take Jean-Gilles OG or Darryl Tapp DE.
  10. Triplett-Ngata is a very real possibility, however. If we're not trading our pick, it's nearly a lock. Look at the Draft Muncher sites and who they say we're picking at #8: Haloti Ngata (20 times) D'Brickashaw Ferguson (4) Marcus McNeill (2) Jimmy Williams (2) 5 others
  11. If we traded up for Mario, I'd do this: 1-Mario Williams DE 2-Trade Down for late 2nd and a mid 4th (ours= 480 pts., theirs= 380+100) 2-Rodrique Wright, DT, Texas or Gabe Watson DT, Michigan 3-Andrew Whitworth, OT 3-Greg Blue S 4-Terna Nande OLB---benches 520, squats 620 and a 4.43 time in the 40 4-Matt Lentz OG-Michigan 5-Travis Wilson, Fullback 6'3½, 256 6-Cedric Humes, RB-----233 lbs. Va.Tech 7-E.J. Whitley, RT -Texas Tech or Ashlan Davis KR, Tulsa
  12. There's not a lot out there: Reggie Wayne -re-signed Isaac Bruce-re-signed Randle-El--moved to Washington Jurevicius--moved to Cleveland, squeezing out Antonio Bryant David Givens Nate Burleson Brandon Lloyd David Boston Add Moulds to this mix, possibly to NFC club, like a Falcons, Bears, Packers, Cowpersons...
  13. I think you'll want another RB/FB and WR in the later Rounds, and an OG in the earlier Rounds. Mine right now, based on the acquired FA's: 1-Haloti Ngata DT 2-Taitusi "Deuce" Lutui, OG 3-Andrew Whitworth, OT 3-Greg Blue S 4-Terna Nande OLB---benches 520, squats 620 and a 4.43 time in the 40 5-Bruce Gradkowski, QB 162.6 passing efficiency, 70% in consecutive seasons 6-Cedric Humes, RB-----233 lbs. Va.Tech 7-Guy Whimper DE/TE ---6'5", 275
  14. We'd be giving up one of our 2 Round 3's (most likely 3A) to the 49'ers to jump to #6 and get Mario. This means we're still looking for OT, OG, and S with one less pick. We'd also have to make that pick after the Jets pick at #4, b/c they may take him too: 1 TEXANS RB *Reggie Bush USC 2 SAINTS QB Matt Leinart USC 3 TITANS OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson Virginia 4 JETS DE *Mario Williams North Carolina St In that scenario, I'd stay put and take Ngata or Vernon Davis.
  15. We've signed DT, TE, WR...and no O-Lineman. Monday, they say we have at least one visitor to One Bills Drive. Tom Ashworth, hope to see you with contract in hand tomorrow.
  16. I heard Faine was moving to Guard.
  17. I think we need a Fullback who can produce. At 6'0" 266lbs, Matt Bernstein (Wisconsin) is this year's best beast. A bit o' info: "- Bernstein has great fullback size. He is great lead blocker, and acts like a sledgehammer coming out of the backfield. Bernstein blast linebackers in close quarters on inside running plays, and can block them in space on outside plays. Bernstein is a good short yardage runner, and runs with power." "- Bernstein is an underrated player. He is a devastating run blocker, who is almost like having a guard lining up in the backfield." "Bernstein is a hardworking player who has a bright future as a lead blocker." Audio Interview -- He says "I think of myself as an offensive lineman--heck I almost weigh as much as them"
  18. I'd go with Ashworth, only because he's part of the 5 layers of protection. Then we'd only need 4 more.
  19. LeCharles. Give up on Mawae.
  20. The more I have looked at the FA tackles, the more I realize that someone has to make the switch to LT. Runyon is a RT, LT's Backus and Pace are franchised, Walter Jones re-signed with Seattle in February, Kareem McKenzie signed with the Giants, Chris Terry beats his wife and is an RT. I think that someone has to be Peters. We won't be acquiring a LT in Round 1 without a trade-down, because DaBrick won't be there at #8, and we're not trading up--too many needs. One Guard will probably be Villarial for the time being, and we'll need some competition for his backup from this draft, so watch for a RD#2 pick for someone to push Justin Geisinger. This would be Gilles, Lutui, or Spencer in that order. The other Guard would be Preston (if we actually get LeCharles or Mawae at Center). There are few RD#3 draft picks at Guard because Davin Joseph will be gone, and that's why we'll pick Guard early. If we do get a FA for Center, don't be surprised if we tap a lineman with Center experience in the middle rounds.
  21. "The NECK" is Back! "The NECK" is Back!
  22. I'm thinking the Dolphins will go with Ramsey. Some of this is posturing, because one of them is taking Cutler.
  23. That was 4 bad knees 2 years ago. Gimme Pickett any old time.
  24. Your draft was a good one on several levels. You've worked on the DT situation with 2 Top 100 picks. You've picked up Jason Allen, pulling in a Syracuse player and giving Rashad Baker someone who can run faster than Milloy (and not afraid to hit). You've added the obligatory OG (possibly the best one in the bottom 5 rounds), and have taken Whitworth for the O-Line. I like Brad Smith fulfilling a Slash role, and Charels Gordon's a decent nickel man. Solid.
