  1. Trannon is the best late round value at WR.
  2. With therapy and good drugs, maybe I'll be able to recover from this now-indelible image.
  3. I'm not advocating it, but I wouldn't put it past the Bills brass. So... 12-Willis ILB 14-Lynch RB 107-Beekman OG 169-Snelling FB 203-Trannon WR 220-Jackson DT
  4. This isn't entirely impossible. To get the 12th AND 14th-ranked players in the draft is going to take 1100 points. That's almost exactly our RD#2 (470) plus RD#3a (480) and #3b (132), which total 1082.
  5. Welcome, one and all! Western NY's Biggest Time-Sucker Outside of the Canadian Ballet. (Welcome with No L = We come)
  6. We will have A-Train and Dillon/Brown in the fold by draft day, with S Williams and F Jackson and an improved O-Line, so RB won't be our Day 1 concern. I think we're going to use our first pick on ILB Willis, then move back into the bottom of the RD#1. We will send our second (#43) and initial third-round pick (#74) to New Orleans and use the 27th pick on CB Aaron Ross. We'll take DT Paul Soliai with Baltimore's 3rd Rounder (#92), and our 4th Rounder on OG Josh Beekman. A RD#6 pick on OLB Justin Hickman and RD#7 pick on an athlete, Reggie Ball, QB/WR/KR, Georgia Tech.
  7. It doesn't matter. A running back will have fewer plays than a quarterback, and wide receivers and tight ends will have even fewer. As an example, LaDanian Tomlinson ran the ball 339 times in 2005, and was the target of 77 pass targets (including incompletes), for a total of 416 plays. In general, a starting running back will have 375-450 plays over 16 games. Starting wide receivers have 75-150 pass targets over a full season. Tight ends even less. Don't waste a pick on few opportunities. Keep Royal, Everett, and Cieslak.
  8. I thought it was funny. Then you asked. Now it's not funny.
  9. Greg Olsen? GREG OLSEN??? He's gone by Pick 41 (MIN) in RD#2. No question in my mind. If you would like to explain how Free Agency, picks 1, 3a, and 3b are going to help our run defense with DT/ ILB picks, plus fix our CB, RB, and FB depth, then we can take TE if he magically falls to us at #43.
  10. 1: Chris Brown FA 2: A-Train Resigns 3: Brian Leonard Drafted RD#3 4: Kenny Irons RD#2 beats out Shaud Williams 5. Fred Jackson PS
  11. He was classless. We are so classy. Read these posts again.
  12. Best Post Today.
  13. Too bad you can't re-establish your # of posts. Or CAN you?....
  14. Of those 3, only Marshawn is undamaged goods, though. I agree that potentially, AP as well as Bush could be better, but do we want to take a chance (a la McGahee)?
  15. I also like that one. Soliai is the only one-gap guy I could find after Okoye (who does both) in the first 4 rounds.
  16. Best line in Prisco's article: "he brings the same passion and preparation that is common to Miami players" Bye Willis.
  17. Mike Rucker's brother. No relation to Frostee.
  18. Ironic that you should say that. 2003 Draft...Pick #93, Chris Brown RB Others: 2002 Draft...Pick #91, Brian Westbrook RB 2001 Draft...Pick #95, Jonas Jennings OT
  19. No, I like Soliai at the one gap. He has the size and speed in there. Like Houston a lot at CB. He or Revis. Also like your OLB pick. Tim Shaw, speedy guy for Penn State frequently outran Puz. Cory Anderson will go in RD#3 or 4 as the best FB on the board, and would be a good replacement for Shelton.
  20. See, don't you like having two 2nd Rounders? If Marv signs 2 RB's before the draft, do you still want Hunt, Irons or Bush? A FB only? I'm almost hoping we take a RB and a FB in this draft.
  21. Let's say we unload McGahee and sign one RB in free agency (I'm being conservative; Levy may sign 2, but that's partly the debate I'm trying to stir up). You now have the Ravens' #61 pick, as well as our RD#1 (12th) and RD#2 (43rd). According to DraftTek website, these players would be there at each pick: Players at #12: --->Patrick Willis ILB --->Marshawn Lynch RB --->Leon Hall, Darelle Revis, Chris Houston, CB --->Paul Posluszny OLB --->Aaron Sears OG --->Any WR not named Calvin Johnson WR COMMENT: I'm leaning toward Willis here even if we sign a veteran LB, but you can talk me into Meachem WR or Okoye if he drops. Players at #43: --->Daymeion Hughes CB --->Justin Blalock or Manny Ramirez OG --->Anthony Gonzalez WR --->Michael Bush RB --->Tony Ugoh OT --->Rufus Alexander OLB --->Brandon Mebane or Marcus Thomas DT COMMENT: I like Daymeion Hughes or Marcus Thomas, but you can talk me into a RB at this point. Players at #61: --->Kenny Irons or Tony Hunt RB --->Brian Leonard FB --->Steve Smith WR (from USC) --->Samson Satele OC --->Josh Wilson or Fred Bennett CB COMMENT: Hunt/Leonard here. BUT If we took 2 FA RB's I could get my #2 receiver here, because pickings get much slimmer in the next round. Either CB if they drop to here may represent good value. Players at #74: --->Quinn Pitcock DT--Want another 3-technique guy? We have so many... --->Paul Soliai DT--Here's your one gap defensive tackle. --->Drew Stanton QB--Prolly not any better than Nall... --->Scott Chandler TE--Reimersma Type TE --->HB Blades ILB--Good pedigree. COMMENT: Soliai has the size and speed we want in a one gap DT. Players at #107 --->Nate Harris ILB--Great Day2 value. KaMichael Hall , Anthony Waters Justin Warren are still going to be here if Harris isn't. --->Tim Shaw OLB--Draftniks call him Penn State's fastest LB, maybe best for Cover2. COMMENT: I'd be inclined to take a LB this late, but taking Willis at 12 allows me to be creative here. OG Marshall Yanda or Josh Beekman would be good backup.
  22. ...And, of course, now Gandy is the WORSTestershire.
  23. Now that's funny.
  24. How many think Michael Bush now drops to the Bills in RD#2, pick #43? Most mocks had him going to the Jets with pick 37.
  25. It's a good trade. We give up our drafting of Patrick Willis for Lance Briggs, throwing in TKO to sweeten the deal. The other advantage for us is that we improve the offense too, as the first pick could be offense. I'd take CB with the second pick and DT or Brian Leonard with the 3rd pick.
