  1. 2. Try This. Odd pages are Offense. Even pages are Defense. Value Board I would love suggestions on how to display Excel spreadsheets for Mozilla, Mac and IE.
  3. That one has been nicely remade as Pocket Tanks: Pocket Tanks free download
  4. TSW Value Board Here's my Value Board as it stands now, 40 days until draft day. Players we would be looking at are in yellow. If you see a player you think should be in yellow, let me know in this thread. Players I know about who have character issues are in red (more like pink). I know I'm missing some. Let me know. I have taken my information from DraftTek's last 3 drafts, NFLDraftBlitz (Premium) and my own research. If, however, you think we have someone rated too high or too low, let me know. Astro

Here's why you oughta wait on your 2nd WR: RD3--Jordy Nelson -Kansas St 6'3 4.5 RD4--Paul Hubbard-Wisc, 6'3,221,4.4 --hands need training but one of the best blockers RD5--Adarius Bowman - Ok St 6'3,223,4.7 RD6--Mario Urrutia - Louvl,6'6",232,4.5 RD7--Marcus Monk - AK 6'4,222,4.5 RD7--Todd Blythe, Iowa St.--6'5,214,4.6 7/UDFA--Ernie Wheelright,MN--6'5,215,4.5 7/UDFA--Marcus Henry,KS--6'4,207,4.5 7/UDFA--Chaz Shilens SDSt--6'4,208,4.3 7/UDFA--Jabari Arthur Akron--6'4,228,4.65 --Quebec native 7/UDFA--Micah Rucker, E Ill--6'6 217,4.4
  8. Can't disagree. What if the Cowboys want to trade up, then we do this? #22-James Hardy WR #28-Malcolm KellyWR #42- Fred Davis TE #72- Dre Moore DT #73- Geno Hayes OLB #111- Owen Schmitt FB #138- Justin King CB #142- Chris Harrington DE #170- Erik Ainge QB
  9. 10. Great Post. I think the best all-round corners in this draft are DRC, McKelvin and Cason, in that order. I'm leaving Jenkins out until I find out more about his "character issues". DRC and McKelvin (at least one) should be there at #11. Cason WON'T be there at #41.
  11. I said it before, and I'll say it again, Ruvell Martin and DJ Hackett, in that order, make the most sense for the Bills. Astro
  12. I think we take two DB's in the draft; possibly a CB and a SS. Is anyone put off by the character issues Mike Jenkins has?
  13. The draft-day trades possibly available that get us out of the #11 (using the Pick Value Chart) would necessitate a move from #11 to #18-19-20 for a Extra 2nd Rounder, or #11 to #15 for an Extra 3rd Rounder, or Losman or our 3rd Rounder to get Dallas's #22 and #28 picks. Who's at those picks, and why would that team trade with us? 14=Chicago at 14 wants to take their top OT choice and Jeff Otah/Chris Williams are both there at #11 but not at 14. Trades their RD#3 to move up to #11. (VERY LIKELY) 15=Detroit (less likely as they are setting sights on DE and Gholston will be long gone...but if they trade up to #5, the Jets will likely trade down--but not within the division) (NOT LIKELY) 18=Houston (wants a RB; Mendenhall could fall to #11 and if they have him rated higher than Stewart, they do it) (SOMEWHAT LIKELY) 19=Philly (less likely, as they want a WR) (NOT LIKELY) 20=Tampa Bay (wants CB, and DE; lots of choices at #11 that they wouldn't have at #20) (MORE LIKELY) 22=Dallas wants CB and RB. Both RB's are there at #11, and they'd have a choice of at least 3 CB's at #11 or the 4th leftover CB if they stay put) (VERY LIKELY) If the Bills trade to the #14 pick, I think it will be to select one of the 3 CB's that will be there. If they trade to the #20 iick it will be to select their WR. If they trade with Dallas at #22/28, they can pick up a WR (Thomas-Sweed-Hardy) and a CB (likely Talib or Cason) OR Fred Davis at TE.
  14. That, sir, is a run-on sentence. And if you want to get run on, you won't take Ellis is he's there at 11.
  15. I think there are several better alternatives that late in the draft with better hands and better % in the red zone. In Round 4, I'd take Harry Douglas (Louisville) or Lavelle Hawkins (Cal) before Monk. In Round 5, I'd take Paul Hubbard of Wisconsin. You'd have 2 badgers; just don't put them in a car when eating crunchy food. Adarius Bowman (Okla St) and Will Franklin (Mizzou), even Urrutia (Louisville) would have more upside. In Round 6, I'd take Todd Blythe of Iowa State or Davone Bess from Hawaii, one of the guys that made Colt Brennan look better than he was. In Round 7, I'd take Danny Amendola of Texas Tech. We will take 2 WR's in this draft ... It's now becoming a question of when we take the second one.
  16. How can we trust PFW? After all, they had us taking Marshawn Lynch last year. I think the Bills brass brought in Stroud just so they could trade down if this happens. If I could parlay WR Devin Thomas, CB Antoine Cason, and WR Hardy out of trading down, I'd be surprised, though.
  17. WR Devin Thomas (6'1 7/8, 215) was one of 14 players from the 2007 squad to work out yesterday (3-12) in front of 39 scouts representing 27 NFL teams...also in attendance were prospects from Grand Valley State...Devin Thomas stood on his 40 time from the Combine (4.40 ), but recorded a 33 inch vertical and did 16 reps at 225...Thomas was also very impressive in the receiver drills...Thomas and TE Kellen Davis will travel to Buffalo for individual workouts later in the week, and Thomas has a workout scheduled with Minnesota as well...scouts from 26 NFL clubs were present including Panthers WR coach Richard Williamson and Bengals TE coach Jay Hayes.
  18. Wonder if the Bills are second guessing Malcolm Kelly, and are looking at the WR/KR as a RD#1 pick, and Kellen Davis as a RD#3 pick. Thomas Highlights http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHbkz0IMIeA
  19. Fo an all-round DE, I would agree--Go draft. If you want a pass rusher, then Kalimba Edwards is a good choice.
  20. The Blythe interest is intriguing. Here's a little reading on Iowa State's most productive receiver: 2008 NFL Draft Prospect - Scouting Report Blythe has had a very productive four-year career at Iowa St. and though he may not be mentioned among the other elite receivers in the country, that doesn't mean he should be on the board for too long. He had an outstanding season as a freshman, catching 39 passes for 833 yards (21.4 yards per catch) and nine touchdowns. He kept up the productivity as a sophomore, catching 51 passes for 1,000 yards and nine scores. 2006 was set to be another big season, but he missed four games and was limited to only 34 catches and 484 yards. But, he still made plays (despite his and Iowa St.'s struggles), finding the end zone in all but one of eight games he played, totaling eight touchdowns. This season, he was a bright spot in a 3-9 season, rounding out his Iowa St. career by becoming the Cyclones' all-time leading receiver, catching 52 passes for 779 yards and five touchdowns to finish with school records of 176 catches, 3,096 yards and 31 touchdowns. Blythe has all the makings of an excellent NFL receiver - great size (he's anywhere from 6'4 to 6'6, depending on where you look), great hands, and big-play ability. Also, he's a physical receiver, which helps him both as a pass-catcher and as a blocker. The one knock on him is that he isn't as fast as some scouts would like for him to be. That hasn't stopped one of the most prominent talent evaluators out there (Gil Brandt) from speaking very highly of him in an October article in the Des Moines Register; where he raved about Blythe's blocking and pass-catching ability and compared him to former Denver Broncos receiver Ed McCaffrey, who had a similar make-up to Blythe. This is a guy worth taking a chance on. His talent and production can't be overlooked and his playmaking skills and physicality can overrule any issues about how fast he may or may not be. He could see himself move up at least high into the third round if he runs well enough at the combine, but seems set to be a Day Two guy. If he falls too far (NFLDraftScout.com has him rated in the 7th round), he could be another guy that falls into the 'steal' category, making a lot of teams rue passing on him. Update (2/13/08): In last month's East-West Shrine Bowl in Houston, Blythe had one catch for eight yards for the West team in their 31-13 victory. Blythe has been invited to attend next week's combine in Indianapolis and going into the combine, he still projects as a late-round pick. Update (3/12/08): At last month's combine, Blythe, who measured in at 6'5, 214, ran a best of a little over 4.6 seconds in the 40-yard dash. That wasn't the kind of time that he needed to push himself into an early-to-mid second-day spot, but with his size and production, someone still may take a chance on him in that range. However, going into Iowa St.'s pro day in two weeks, Blythe is still projected as a late-rounder, at best.
  21. I think we'll take a LB to replace either Haggan, Stamer, or both, and that it'll happen in Round 4. There is a plethora of decent backups in that Round: OLB Bruce Davis - UCLA Ali Highsmith - LSU Shawn Crable - Michigan ILB Philip Wheeler - GT Tavares Gooden - Miami Beau Bell - UNLV
  22. Tough call. Edwards would be a pass rusher while Allen is more all-round.
  23. Very nice summaries of each contender's strengths and weaknesses. Loved last year's guide, and this one is just as strong. And gotta love the price.
