  1. He has nice moves, too. Have Cousin Marshawn pass to him now and then.
  2. I agree, and I'd keep him at QB. I think of him as better than a Slash-type QB. You are talking about the Supplemental 4th Rounder, I take it.
  3. I expect they'll take the CB over Calais Campbell, with WR a third place possibility. 19 Philadelphia Devin Thomas WR Michigan St 20 Tampa Bay Mike Jenkins CB South Florida 21 Washington Calais Campbell DE Miami 22 * Dallas Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon 23 Pittsburgh Aqib Talib CB Kansas 24 Tennessee DeSean Jackson WR California
  4. There are beaucoup UDFA/RD#7 WR's that I hope we draft in the 7th or bring to camp, many of them tall and fast, with good vertical jumps. Here's my list. The lower the number, the better: 186 Chaz Shilens SDSt,6'4,208,4.3 196 Kenneth Moore - Wake hi recp/gm, ST 211 Steve Johnson Ky 6'2,210,4.5 212 JamesTownsend Rut 6'1 4.39 41" vert 207 Adrian Arrington - Mich 6'3"203, 36" vert 209 Duvaughn Flagler GarWb6'2 215 39"vert 210 Marcus Henry,KS,6'4,207,4.5-tall hands guy 223 Pierre Garcon MtU 6'0,210,4.4, 20bench 226 Marcel Reece 6'0, 231, 4.4, 36" vert Jags interested 231 Mark Bradford, Stan,6'1",211,4.6, 41" vert, Everett's target 232 Taj Smith,Syra,6'1,187,4.43 at Pro day 233 Ernie Wheelright,MN,6'5,215,4.5 234 Marcus Fitzgerald 5'10 Larry's brother 235 Rasheed Rancher Umass 6'5 200 250 Marcus Smith, NM, 6'2,221,4.5 251 Kevin Robinson UtahSt 252 Josh Morgan VaTech 6'0" 219, 4.5 253 Justin Harper VaTech,6'4,213,4.5 unused 254 Jabari Arthur Akron, 6'4,228,4.65 Quebec 255 Larry Shipp WR/KR Tenn Tech 256 Todd Blythe, Iowa St.6'5,214,4.6 266 Marcus Monk - AK 6'4,222,4.5 276 Lance Leggett Miami 6'3,194,4.4 And yes, maybe I'm obsessional. 5. Teams Where WR is the Top Offensive Priority in this Draft: 1. Buffalo 2. Cincy 3. Dallas 4. Oakland 5. Philly 6. St.Louis 7. Tampa Bay 8. Tennessee 9. Washington Of the Above, Teams Where WR is the Top Priority in this Draft: 1. Buffalo, although DE, TE are important early (and it's too early for top TE) 2. Tennessee - Need DT, DE help as well as CB, so they're the wild card Why Not The Others? 2. Cincy - Nope: DT, OLB are huge 3. Dallas - Nope: RB is equal, and more CB help needed; RB and CB could be their RD1 picks given WR's depth in draft 4. Oakland - DE is equally important, and 6 top DE's could be gone before their Pick #2 5. Philly - OT is equally important and there are three good ones in Round 1 6. St.Louis - DE, CB, WR are likely there at their pick; all are equal priorities IMO 7. Tampa Bay - Need DT, DE help as well as CB 8. Washington - Need WR, but could go DE first (expect them to trade up, possibly with us)
  6. I swear that I have not tampered with die Schmittpick. Astro Bills Correspondent, DraftTek
  7. Perhaps the steal of that draft would be I-Keg in the 6th. He was a solid first round prospect when he had his ACL tear. If we pulled a McGahee with that guy, we'd have 6 stars from the '08 draft.
  8. If our first 5 picks 3 weeks from now can make as much difference as these five should make, I'll be at St. John Fisher daily in August and driving to Buffalo a heckuva lot more.
  9. Check out the new www.drafttek.com draft. I think you will all be quite satisfied.
  10. RD#1 Derrick Harvey DE RD#2 James Hardy WR -- Tallest RD#3 Brad Cottam TE RD#4 Paul Hubbard WR --- Best blocker RD#4 Owen Schmitt FB --- Cult following RD#5 Kory Lichtensteiger OC RD#6 Jack Ikegwuonu CB ---Likely on IR in 08, but could be RD1 value in 09
  11. A DraftTek reader writes: "One of Buffalo's major needs is at WR, but #11 is too high to be selecting a WR. Philadelphia could use help at OT, but the way many mock drafts are looking, it seems that the last of the elite OTs could go to the teams at #12 to #14. Furthermore, Philadelphia has been shopping CB Lito Sheppard, after signing Asante Samuel. In the trade, Buffalo gives up #11 and #147 (RD5) and receives #19 plus Lito. This would mean that Philadelphia would be getting compensation for Lito more or less in line with what was given to Atlanta for DeAngelo Hall (the difference in first round picks is a value equal to a second) plus a fifth. What do you think?" I thought I'd put it up for discussion. I would do this trade, which essentially could look like this: RD1-Lito Sheppard CB RD1-Devin Thomas WR/KR RD2-Mike Pollak-OC/OG RD3-Red Bryant -DT RD4-John Carlson-TE RD4-Brian Johnston- DE RD6-Thomas Brown- RB Georgia-204 4.5 quickst, 38"vertical, ACL '06 RD7-Dennis Dixon QB - Oregon inj ACL RD7-Mark Bradford, WR Stanford,6'1",211,4.6, 41vert RD7 Mike Gibson - OT Cal - sprung Lynch
  12. We're locking Adarius Bowman out of our late-round picks, and keeping a watch out for DE's in the draft. If you didn't catch Matt McGuire's comment that he was 80% sure the Bills would be looking DE in the first round at #11, that's a telltale. The new draft simulation will be out about 8:30 tonight EST. If any of you have comments about the Team Needs as they stand now, let's hear 'em. Thanks Astro
  13. ...And many say he'd be there as early as the first round! LOL
  14. We are looking for restaurant suggestions in the Rochester area for a gathering the night of my grandmother's funeral service. It will be a Friday night around 5PM, and we'd like to find a place that can accommodate about 20 people in a separate or off-to-the-side area, with good everyone-likes food (like italian or american or bistro-y type fare) and decent prices. I thought of Mario's, but their prices are in the mid 20s -- seems a bit high. And the Crescent Beach Hotel on the lake, but again, similar prices. Can you think of any places? We'll go in the city, or any of the burbs, like Webster, Pittsford, Penfield, or Fairport. Something along the lake or canal would be nice, too.
  15. Yeah, I'm all for Bills players using anything that impairs motivation, judgment, and time. Bowman is off my list and his time is up: Bonnnnnnggggggggggg....
  16. I'd consider that draft a great one from top to bottom. I obviously like the draft in my sig line. I also like the draft that nets us Dallas's two picks (because we'd sacrifice less than your scenario) and the one where we drop to Washington's pick for a 2nd and 4th.
  17. Yep, don't like the rule. I would have hoped they'd gone the other way--one foot inbounds for the NFL like in college. The No Fun League must think incompletions are entertaining.
  18. I would be excited about netting Stevens. He is the TE has the best combo of blocking and receiving other than John Carlson, and I am beginning to doubt Carlson lasts to us in the 3rd. Darrell Strong from Pitt would be the other TE I'd like. All threee (Stevens, Carlson, Strong) give us a good receiver who can block.
  19. Won't Happen. Arkansas 5th Round tops, has been arrested, and not even the best 5th round DT (Carlton Powell). Dumbass pick.
  20. Best post of the month. Of April, anyway.
  21. Everyone has a right to free speech. For example, I don't question your right to draft Bowman in the 4th when he's now a 7th Rounder at best!
  22. Love the analysis, the hope, the 80% chance of going DE with pick #1...
