  1. For the 3rd time in 5 years, the Bills get 2 "first rounders".
  2. On The Short Board: TE Cottam/Finley/Rucker go in RD3. Tamme/Stevens in RD5-6, Haynos RD6-7. Cottam will probably go earlier than #72; if not snag him. Of all of these, Stevens, Finley and Haynos have better char. & blocking. Some like Rucker. I like Stevens in RD5. ILB Connor, Philip Wheeler. Both go in RD3. Goff/Dunbar/Moffitt later. I like Connor/Wheeler in RD3 if we don't take Cottam. DT Sims/Moore/Bryant go in RD3. Fluellen/Okam/Dykes later. I like Okam in RD4 . FB Schmitt RD4 Compensatory, or Jed Collins in RD6. DE Chris Harrington (RD4), Brian Johnston (RD5), Chase Ortiz/Rudolph Hardie (RD6-7). I like Johnston RD5. OLB Lots here: Erin Henderson, Marcus Howard, Geno Hayes, Bruce Davis, Guyton, Ezra Butler, Woodyard, Kehl, Vobora.. I like Ezra Butler RD5. QB O'Connell or Dixon RD6, or Paul Smith/Bernard Morris in UDFA. OG Schuening, Mike McGlynn. Crummey, McDuffie, Rinehardt later. I like Rinehardt RD7.

  6. I'm looking at TE now that F. Davis is gone, and suggest we don't trade up today. I think we're done for Saturday. Tomorrow, TE becomes the top priority, and there are still some TE's on the board: Barnidge, Gary TE 6'6" 243 Louisville Bennett, Cole TE 6'4" 246 Auburn Bennett, Martellus TE 6'6" 259 Texas A&M ----Probably right around our 3rd Round Pick Bishop, Adam TE 6'5" 245 Nevada Brown, Chris TE 6'1" 249 Tennessee Bugg, Tim TE 6'0" 255 Indiana Cottam, Brad TE 6'8" 270 Tennessee-----Probably before our 3rd Round Pick Davis, Kellen TE 6'7" 262 Michigan State --4th Rounder DeVree, Tyson TE 6'4" 247 Colorado Fine, Derek TE 6'3" 245 Kansas Finley, J.J. TE 6'6" 258 Oklahoma Finley, Jermichael TE 6'5" 243 Texas --4th Rounder Haynos, Joey TE 6'8" 262 Maryland --Late Rounder that Bills brought in Kapanui, Kolo TE 6'3" 268 West Texas AM Moore, Evan TE 6'6" 233 Stanford Peterson, Mike TE 6'2" 247 Northwest Missouri State Rucker, Martin TE 6'5" 248 Missouri ----4th Rounder Santi, Tom TE 6'4" 248 Virginia Scott, Trevor TE 6'5" 256 Buffalo Stevens, Craig TE 6'3" 254 California ----My Pick in Round 5: Best combo of receiver and blocker Strong, Darrell TE 6'5" 260 Pittsburgh ---Round 7, physical, good receiver Tamme, Jacob TE 6'4" 232 Kentucky ---Round 6 not a blocker
  7. I'd like to trade with Philadelphia (2 picks from now) and take Fred Davis TE. Done with top 3 needs on Day 1.
  8. Still there from RD#1 Board: Kelly WR's Jackson Sweed Calais Campbell DE RD#2 Guys I Like For Us: Fred Davis TE Chilo Rachal OG Mike Pollak OC Pat Sims DT Trevor Laws DT Xavier Adibi OLB Quentin Groves OLB Dan Connor ILB
  9. We'll need to trade up to take Davis. I don't see 30 players that haven't been picked that are better than Davis!
  10. Hey gang--Who thought we'd get the top-rated CB AND one of these WR's?
  11. Agree that this would be the goal. Then BPA on Day 2!
  12. If the Jets get McFadden and Hardy I will peeeeeeeeeeuke.
  13. There are three. Martellus Bennett in Round 2 John Carlson in Round 3 Craig Stevens in Round 6 Maybe Haynos in Round 7, 2nd pick. He's the family man (whole family has seen each game), 6'8", 265, character up the wazoo.
  14. The following link is DraftTek's Draft Day page: DraftTek Pick By Pick Re-Simulation The data in there right now is for test purposes only. The box up top shows the next pick. After each selection, we will resimulate and post a data file up to the web. The resimulation calculates the 3 most likely picks for the team - Most Probable #1, #2, and #3. BTW: Note Who's The Bills' Most Likely (For Entertainment Purposes Only!) Go Bills! Astro
  15. The white hots are a good idea. I'm also grilling up Italian sausages and we'll get wings. Amstel and Miller here.
  16. Or you could wait for Rucker in Round 5, where I bet he's finally picked.
  17. Same for me, but using 4-Wide with Reed and Bennett now and then.
  18. Oh, to get added value AND a playmaker WR! Let's hope we parlay this into 4 Top 100 picks, or even better, a player like Sheppard...
  19. Don't we already have a solidly built, 5'11" LSU receiver who is unafraid to go over the middle?...Josh somebody? Anyway in the CB department, I like McKelvin, Cromartie, Cason, Godfrey, in that order. But I hope by trading around they can take all three priorities (WR, TE, CB) in the 3 early rounds, and so I'm trying not to "lock on" to one player.
  20. April 24, 2004 -- BILLS DRAFT EVANS, LOSMAN Thanks to a draft day trade with Dallas, the Bills had two picks in the first round of the NFL Draft, and used them to build an offense for the future. Buffalo selected University of Wisconsin WR Lee Evans with the 14th overall pick, then chose QB J.P. Losman out of Tulane with the 22nd selection.
  21. I took DraftTek's Big Board and looked within 7 picks of each scenario. That's how I got the players for each scenario. Tampa Bay doesn't really offer much compared to some of the others (for them or for us), so I think it's the least likely.
  22. I did a study on the effective height of each WR, adding their height to their vertical. Bradford in Round 7 was Top 6: Keenan Burton Arman Shields Mark Bradford Pierre Garcon Taj Smith Limas Sweed
  23. "Stay At Home" Scenario: 8 -----Ryan Clady OT Boise St 9------Branden Albert OG Virginia 11-----Leodis McKelvin CB Troy St 13-----Keith Rivers OLB USC 15-----D Rodgers-Cromartie CB Tennessee St 18-----Devin Thomas WR Michigan St Chicago Trades To Get Their RB, Bills Get #14 and a 3rd 14-----Derrick Harvey DE Florida 18-----Devin Thomas WR Michigan St 19-----Limas Sweed WR Texas 20-----Phillip Merling DE Clemson Eagles Trade For Lito Sheppard CB, Bills Get #17 14-----Derrick Harvey DE Florida 18-----Devin Thomas WR Michigan St 19-----Limas Sweed WR Texas 20-----Phillip Merling DE Clemson 23-----Dan Connor ILB Penn St T-Bay Trade (wants their CB or DE); Bills Get #20 and a 2nd 20-----Phillip Merling DE Clemson 23----- Dan Connor ILB Penn St 29-----James Hardy WR Indiana 30-----Malcolm Kelly WR Oklahoma Bills Trade With Cowboys, Get #22 and #28 (Get 2) 20-----Phillip Merling DE Clemson 23-----Dan Connor ILB Penn St 26-----Aqib Talib CB Kansas 29-----James Hardy WR Indiana 30-----Malcolm Kelly WR Oklahoma 34-----Kenny Phillips FS Miami 35-----Lawrence Jackson DE USC
