  1. Good Morning and welcome back to the asylum. Nothing has changed except the QB's about whom we argue. And we prefer our drinks with no ICE.
  2. The reason this is significant is that Felton would have been taken before Owen Schmitt. Felton would have been our RD5#147 and Schmitt went off at RD5#163 to the Seahawks. We took Bowen there. We'll see how it works out in Week 1, right?
  3. Nick Hill (Southern Illinois QB) was on the phone with Buffalo quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt when the Bills were on the clock at No. 251, the second-to-last pick of the draft. If Buffalo went with offense, Hill was their man. But ....Hill said no thanks to their overtures. His No. 1 goal was to join the Bears, and the Southern Illinois passer agreed to terms on a free-agent deal. The Bears were the ideal fit for the left-hander because they are the only team with only two quarterbacks on their roster, Rex Grossman and Kyle Orton. "It was really a no-brainer," Hill said. "Your goal is always to get drafted, but I just want to get a shot. I feel really good about the Bears. They were No. 1 on my list going into this." Hill also turned down overtures from Indianapolis, Houston and Washington. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...l042708.article
  4. FB Felton Was To Have Been 5th Round Pick "Former Furman All-America fullback Jerome Felton was sitting at home with his family Sunday waiting patiently on his name to be called in the NFL Draft, when his phone rang after hours of silence. First, the Arizona Cardinals called and said they would take him with their next pick. Moments later the Buffalo Bills called and told him the same thing. However, as his phone rang a third time in a matter of minutes, his family saw that the Detroit Lions had taken him with their next selection, the 11th pick in the fifth round (146th overall)."
  5. Matty T had McKelvin and Hardy, then Philip Wheeler. Close!
  6. I think we'll be seeing a 4-5% higher than last year. Five-year, $17.5 million contract with $12 million guaranteed. Could add a million each per INT. He'll only make 2.
  7. It took me 10 minutes. I had help. http://wordsmith.org/anagram/ Have Fun!
  8. http://www.bustedcoverage.com/?cat=35 At your service. Scroll down.
  9. When Clayton stops talking, his mouth stops moving. It was then I knew he was either a puppet, an incarnation of Max Headroom, or an alien.
  10. Well-written, my friend. I even like the title!

  12. Great reference to the number of people on IR this year (patients). Some people don't spell well (patience)-- but they make good points. Try to listen to the points they make, not to the spelling errors they make.
  13. Great Idea, rollingrock. I don't like your beer, but I like your idea!
  14. When I saw Mike McGlynn's name put up a few picks before ours in RD#4, I had my doubts about picking up a Center or a Guard in the draft. I saw McGlynn as the last of the better linemen in this draft.
  15. I think he'll be better than Roscoe (who was no slouch) on punt returns. We're talking Deltha O'Neal, Cliff Branch, Johnny Rodgers good. From NFL profile: Holds the NCAA Bowl Subdivision records with 211 total kick returns (112 punts/99 kickoffs) for 3,817 yards, breaking the previous records of 203 attempts (110 punts/93 kick-offs) for 3,455 yards by Deltha O'Neal of California (1996-99)...His eight total touchdowns on kick returns (seven punts/one kickoff) tied the NCAA all-time record that he shares with Cliff Branch of Colorado (1970-71, 6 punts, 2 kickoffs); Johnny Rodgers of Nebraska (1970-72, 7 punts, 1 kickoff); Derek Abney of Kentucky (2000-03, 6 punts, 2 kickoffs) and Chad Owens of Hawaii (2001-04, 6 punts, 2 kickoffs)..His seven punt returns for touchdowns are one shy of the NCAA record of eight, first set by Wes Welker of Texas Tech (2000-03) and Antonio Perkins of Oklahoma (2001-04)...His 112 punt returns broke the old Sun Belt Conference career-record of 50 by Johnny Quinn of North Texas (2003-06) and his 1,471 yards on punt returns shattered the previous league all-time record of 478 yards by James Johnson of Arkansas State (2004-05)...His average of 13.13 yards via punt returns rank third in Sun Belt annals behind James Hickenbotham of Arkansas State (15.2-yard average, 2001-02) and Tyrone Gifford of New Mexico State (14.0 avg, 2001-02)...McKelvin's 99 kickoff returns topped the old conference all-time record of 63 by Darren Toney of Arkansas State (2004-2006)...His kickoff return yardage of 2,346 surpassed the previous Sun Belt all-time record of 1,373 yards by Charles Estes of Louisiana-Monroe (2003-04)...His kickoff-return average of 23.69 yards per attempt rank third in league annals behind Charles Estes of Louisiana-Monroe (27.4 avg, 2003-04) and Tony Lukins of New Mexico State (23.71 avg, 2001).
  16. In 2006, with Fresno State, Wright rolled up an unexpected 1,462 rushing yards (5.6 avg.) with 11 touchdowns to finish eighth in the nation in rushing. He finished second on the team in receptions with 29 catches for 221 yards and a score in 2006. He had a school record-breaking 295-yard rushing performance against Louisiana Tech. 2007: Played in 14 games and finished with 94 yards on 29 carries, (3.2 average), also posted three catches for 17 yards…Wright is 6'0, 220. Omon, at the Division II level, had over 7,000 rushing yards in a remarkable four-year career that included 98 touchdowns. He is a four-time All-American, and he’s the only first college player to ever run for 1,500 yards in all four years. EVER. In ANY division. Omon is 5′11, 226. "Pro Comparison: Reminds me a little bit of a slower Marshawn Lynch" (NFL Draft Watch). I'd llike to see these two get some head-to-head work in training camp and in preseason against the same defenses, possibly alternating series in a couple of games.
  17. Gracias, Mr. E. Ball! I want to thank everyone who checked with DraftTek along the way. DraftTek's per-day visits were up 800% over last year. It helped me finance a new home Bills jersey--just haven't decided on the player yet.
  18. I still think Blake's teammate Chase Ortiz would make a better player in NFL than Blake. Draft Tracker doesn't show Blake drafted, so I assume Blake was a UDFA. Both guys hail from Schobel's school. Go Horny Frogs!
  19. Agree almost exactly with you. I think Omon gets a lot of play in preseason, maybe even supplants Wright, or Wright moves to FB. I don't see him replacing Action Jackson, but I think he'll turn some heads in preseason. At worst, a difficult August cut. I see McKelvin replacing McGee on KR and/or replacing Parrish on PR. I see McGee attending more to the youngsters on CB and Parrish attending more to trying to keep his #3 spot on WR. I see Fine as a way of having a 5-way competition for 2nd and 3rd TE. Probably going in, it's: -----Robert Royal #1 TE (6-4 255 , 7 yrs. exper.) -----Courtney Anderson #2 TE (6'6", 270, 5 yrs. exper.) -----Teyo Johnson #2 TE (6-6 260 , 4 yrs.) -----Tim Massaquoi #2 TE (6-5 255, 3 yrs.) -----Derek Schouman #2 TE (6-2 223 , 2 yrs) -----Derek Fine #2 TE (6-3 245 , 0 yrs.) The Bills brought in some big TE's in FA, bigger than Royal, even. This doesn't bode well for Schouman, who may have to pull a George Wilson transformation to stay around on a "FB not H-Back" team.
  20. Omon has outscored the Bills over the last 4 years! "Omon if you want to have fun with numbers has outscored the Bills in terms of touchdowns on the ground in this entire decade adding together his numbers over the past four years. Since 2000 the Bills have 87 rushing touchdowns. Over the past four years Omon has 92. Omon had 7,073 yards rushing in his college career and 92 rushing touchdowns, six receiving touchdowns and averaged 5.56 per carry." ---Chris Brown
  21. Yours might be better because I took Schmitt earlier, and Bryant>Okam on most boards. Did you take an OLB?
  22. Good Video on Luke Drone http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3...HA4WqrgKolfHWBA
