  1. The person should psychically divine that you have started this thread and be here to reply in 5, 4, 3, 2, ...
  2. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?i...mp;lid=tab3pos1 I dunno if anyone else saw this, but it's the best snapshot I've read of the whole draft day experience and subsequent "dazed and confused" time for rookies at their first rookie camp. Well-written, and an insightful look at Xavier Omon.
  3. I agree. It just made it a lot easier to choose my new jersey. I'm going with Lynch 23 Medium instead of Hardy 44 Magnum.
  4. Playoffs: AFC Chargers Colts Browns (Steelers Schedule is worse) Bills Will Fall Off From Last Year Jacksonville (hey, they lost Stroud) Pats* (LB's too old, rough schedule, media flak, cheaters never win) Could Challenge Jets (if only they had a QB) Balt (if only they had an easier schedule: could lose 5 after their bye week
  5. I think Mack was more the reason Justin Forsett was even drafted this year. It wasn't Forsett, IMO. Mack would be an answer to a position the Bills haven't gotten right since 1986. Hull played 11 years, 121 games-- 8 winning seasons with Hull at Center. Could be the same with Mack.
  6. I did see William Moore on one mock draft, and he's certainly Day 1 (likely Round 1) material. I suppose this will depend on our Safeties this season as to whether they need Day 1 safeties.
  7. I'm interested in 2 early trends from my munch of 2009 mock drafts: 1. We draft later. 2. We draft DE, CB, LB, and TE. Most mocks I've seen suggest that Fine wasn't the TE we were looking for (keep an eye on Brad Cottam, as he was available with our 3rd pick). Also they suggest that the Kelsay-Denney-Schobel-Ellis quartet ends on a sour note. The CB mockers are just plain wrong. Linebacker will end up being a strength as well, so won't be a first day pick either. Names I see out there: Ryan Purvis, TE, Boston College Chase Coffman, TE, Mizzou Travis Beckum, TE, Wisconsin Brian Orakpo, DE, Texas Greg Hardy, DE, Ole Miss Michael Johnson, DE, GT Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU Astro
  8. No changes until I see Lynch's red tips.
  9. I'd like a depth chart that is fast (read: no Flash Animation), with player name and number.
  10. Top 20 NFL Players with Dreads 1. Marshawn Lynch 2. Steven Jackson 3. Devin Hester 4. Josh Cribbs 5. Vernon Davis 6. Ernest Wilford 7. Marion Barber 8. Rashean Mathis 9. Bob Sanders 10. Laurence Maroney 11. Mike McKenzie 12. Larry Fitzgerald 13. Brandon Meriweather 14. Reggie Nelson 15. Donte Stallworth 16. Nate Webster 17. Al Harris 18. Chris Davis 19. Walt Harris 20. Steve Johnson WR, Buffalo Bills Just Missed: Asante Samuel, PacMan Jones, Atari Bigby, Darnell Dockett
  11. I'm impressed; please post more often!!!! I also like Chambers, and think we'll see more of him and less of Preston.
  12. Nuts. And I thought he was doing so well on American Idol.
  13. My solution is simple. For 6 years, the Pats must have the defensive captain's headset audio broadcast over the stadium's public address system.
  14. I didn't believe you, so I checked. The problem was 1999-2006. 15. I agree that Omon will be the 3rd down guy or short yardage guy. I'm impressed with his nose for the end zone. I still think that 2 backs and 3 WR in goal to go situations gives you the best chance to score, especially with our WR's and RB's now.
  16. Perhaps thy swagger is a stagger! I am impressed with the front office's progress with a Free Agent Tight End who'll go to the Pro Bowl this year, and what they've gotten out of Butler thus far. I'm even impressed with Langston Walker. I like what I've heard about Murphy, Bell, and Felton. Dockery's all right. There are some YouTube highlights of last year that show how good they were at pass blocking, and adding receivers will help the Bills keep the Defense at bay. So will fewer injuries and a more experienced Trent Edwards/Marshawn Lynch. I suspect a FB will also serve as an additional blocker, so we're all right.
  17. Okay, I'm trying to do the math here. We'll put 2 guys on Hardy, 1 guy on Evans, 1 guy on Parrish in the slot, 1 guy to cover Lynch, 1 guy to shadow Edwards, 1 guy to cover Derek Fine, 4 pass rushers...who covers Viti?
  18. I would choose Modrak from current time or Ted Marchibroda.
  19. I lost respoect for Banks when he had this to say: "It seems the Patriots have been rather methodical of late when it comes to the business of rescaling the NFL's mountaintop, and I missed the trend. In case you haven't noticed, since last winning a Super Bowl, the Pats have lost in the divisional round ('05, at Denver), the AFC title game ('06, at Indy), and in the Super Bowl ('07). You know what that means. There's only one more step left to take in '08." Yep. To watch the Bills beat San Diego in the AFC Championship.
  20. I would add Arena Football and Lacrosse to sports on the rise. Arena will continue to rise because mid-market cities can have their own "professional" team. The Rochester Raiders had 5,320 spectators at their last game at Blue Cross Arena. Games on Monday nights when there isn't Monday Night Football was a good move, too. Lacrosse is 3-D Hockey, with the "puck" moving on the Z-axis as well as X and Y-axis. It has similar speed, and much more scoring. Kids are latching on to this sport like crazy.
