  1. No. We had him going at #78 to San Diego. Bills took him early, at 51 and 78-51=27 slots "early", so it's a "reach" of 27.
  2. If my simulator is working, our choice will come down to: (some of these may be taken already) Ricky Jean-Francois DT43 LSU Gerald Cadogan OT Penn State Xavier Fulton OT Illinois Jason Watkins OT Florida Jasper Brinkley ILB South Carolina Trevor Canfield OG Cincinnati Jason Phillips ILB TCU Dannell Ellerbe ILB Georgia Edit: There are some nice WR's and CB's left, but hopefully we're out of that market.
  3. With their QB, it's best to array them all over the field.
  4. 137 * New England James Casey TE Rice +77 Value 138 * Atlanta Jonathan Casillas OLB43 Wisconsin +18 Value 139 Kansas City Mitch King OLB34 Iowa +11 Value 140 * Chicago Cornelius Ingram TE Florida +60 Value 141 * New England Gerald McRath ILB Southern Miss +47 Value 142 Cincinnati Victor Harris CB Virginia Tech +54 Value 143 * Atlanta Gerald Cadogan OT Penn State +37 Value 144 Jacksonville Jasper Brinkley ILB South Carolina +34 Value 145 Green Bay Cameron Morrah TE California -3 Reach 146 San Francisco Rhett Bomar QB Sam Houston St +38 Value 147 Buffalo Ricky Jean-Francois DT43 LSU +26 Value
  5. He was the best blocker available, however, getting better in his Sr. year.
  6. Of Course. I'm a Draft Droid. Me like stats. Here goes: 11 A Buffalo Aaron Maybin OLB43 Penn State -12 Reach 28 A Buffalo Eric Wood OC Louisville -16 Reach 42 A Buffalo Jairus Byrd CB Oregon -8 Reach 51 A Buffalo Andy Levitre OG Oregon State -27 Reach 121 A Buffalo Shawn Nelson TE Southern Miss +58 Value ____________________________ Net = +5
  7. I like Follett's big-hit capability. But his best quality is is play recognition. We had Follett going in RD4, so this would be a coup if he was still there.
  8. My Guess: RD5#147 Buffalo Ricky Jean-Francois DT43 LSU then Lee Robinson ILB Alcorn State, Vance Walker DT Michigan, Pannel Egboh DE Stanford, or Otis Wiley S for our 6th.
  9. At DraftTek we gave Nelson a +58 Value, meaning that he went 58 slots later than our consensus mock. That is huge.
  10. To get Casey (a good pick, I agree), we'd have to trade to do it. I also like Cornelius Ingram, who might be there at #121.
  11. Excellent, Jay! See you at Fisher in 13 weeks! Astro
  12. BREW!!!! Welcome to TSW. Wholeheartedly agree with your opinion.
  13. Great Idea, because a grouchy holdout player who was just arrested is what we're looking for. Get Keiaho in here today, Russ.
  14. Travis Beckum TE might be there. Ricky Jean-Francois or Roy Miller DT might be there. Zack Follett OLB might be there. Coffman won't.
  15. I think we'll see another reason for this pick tomorrow when we hear about a trade.
  16. Me too. That was when my precious trail mix ended up on the Berber... If Pettigrew is any good, I'll be pissed. Happy thought: Detroit doesn't have a pick after #82 until RD6#174. With any luck we'll have picked TE and LB by RD6, will kick their butts in W-L record, and Pettigrew will hold out.
  17. St. Louis and Kansas City still haven't taken care of their DE need. Perhaps Kelsay to St. Louis for their RD3#66 . Philadelphia hasn't taken a TE. They will propbably take one at RD3#85, so if we want Cook, that's probably where he'd go. We have Shawn Nelson going to the NYGiants at RD3#100 and Coffman going to Miami at RD4#108.
  18. I agree because the pickings are better at TE at #121 (talked about this already). However, there are good OLB's still out there. Jason Williams----intimidating, <4.5 speed, has played all 3 positions at LB; Zack Follett----play recognition is his strength, and is a hitter; and Nic Harris---a favorite on TSW. My simulation at DraftTek says Beckum TE at #121 and Ellerbe ILB at #147. I could live with that, knowing Bowen is a possibility on the WLB.
  19. We'll take it! Give me a TE at #121 and a Linebacker at #147, and we'll agree.
  20. DraftTek already has their simulator loaded with today's picks, so I ran a simulation: 4 121 Buffalo Travis Beckum TE 5 147 Buffalo Dannell Ellerbe ILB 6 183 Buffalo Corvey Irvin DT 7 220 Buffalo Ian Campbell DE This report was produced using Draft Tek's Draft Simulator: WWW.Drafttek.com. Surprised it didn't pick an OLB. Maybe it knows about a free agent named Keiaho.
  21. You won't complain until tomorrow when you find out we won't be picking until #121 in the 4th Round, 56 picks from the beginning of tomorrow's festivities.
  22. We got the best pass rusher in Maybin (just say no to "takes plays off" Orakpo), got the best Center in Wood, and the best multipurpose Guard/Tackle in the Draft in Levitre. Plus a CB/Safety who'll be groomed to compete at Safety. I hear he also returns punts. NOW.... I have three choices at TE for RD4 #121 (Coffman will be long gone by our pick) ------------James Casey---this guy is married, mature, smart (3.84 average in college), strong, and a playmaker. ------------Travis Beckum--good mix of blocking and receiving. ------------Cornelius Ingram---I like his attitude, confident guy. I have him going to us at #121. I think we sign Freddy Keiaho to address our need at OLB. In Round 5, I want a DT next to Stroud: ------------Corvey Irvin---Popular pick on TSW ------------Vance Walker-Here's your high character off the field, mean on the field types. Winner of Humanitarian award. In Round 6, get a guy to compete for #3 QB: -----------Hunter Cantwell -----------Brian Johnson---- Utah pass/run, decisive Finally, in RD7, get a FB: ---------Tony Fiammetta ---------Anthony Sherman-pretty good receiver as well ---------Brannan Southerland Potential is there to have an "A-" Draft; we're at "B-" now.
  23. I will bet they offer Keiaho a short contract very soon.
