  2. Herbert's play diagnosis and closing speed are impressive. He has great size, confidence, and has been playing safety since high school. Resume: 2008 Played in 12 games, started in 11...Had a career-high of 14 tackles against Fresno State and a career-high of two interceptions with a 100 yard return against Michigan...third in team for solo tackles at 42 and 37 assisted...One tackle for loss...One sack against Fresno State. 2007 Injured in the season opener vs. Purdue and sat out the rest of the season...Received a medical-hardship redshirt from the NCAA and will return for a fifth year of eligibility...Team co-captain. 2006 Led team with 74 tackles...Second on team with three interceptions...Ran back an interception 36 yards for his first career TD vs. Akron...Forced and recovered a fumble vs. Pittsburgh and returned it 57 yards to the Pitt 3-yard line...Did not play vs. McNeese State due to injury...Had a leaping interception vs. Kansas...Career-high 12 tackles vs. Bowling Green...Had nine tackles and returned an interception 45 yards at EMU...Team co-captain. 2005 Started all 12 games at free safety...Second on team with 94 tackles...Led MAC and tied for seventh in the nation with five forced fumbles...Also broke up six passes...Picked off one pass in the GMAC Bowl.
  3. We had Bell at RD5#135 with the knock on him being he's pretty much a Tackle-only type. Ventrell Jenkins was RD7, definitely a guy people had to put 2 guys on to prevent him from collapsing the pocket. Watched him in the bowl game and they neutralized him with 2 guys, but he was a bit slow. Think a svelte Pat Williams. Space eater type.
  4. Thanks--my info: Greene was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round, #245 overall. He will join former teammate Mike Teel in Seattle.
  5. I have added all of your suggestions to my original post. Does anyone know if some listed guys got drafted?
  6. Orangeman, I added your list to mine. Wow, I had no idea that nobody took Mitch King. I like Ian Johnson a lot; I watched almost every game he's been in at Boise State. My only beef is having Alex Boone in camp. I wouldn't want him to end his career at the Pittsford Pub.
  7. That could work!!! The knock on Gronkowski (that all he does is block) would become an asset!
  8. QB Mike Reilly, Graham Harrell, Jason Boltus RB Rashad Jennings, Tyrell Sutton, Ian Johnson, Kory Sheets FB Brannan Southerland, WR Marko Mitchell, Aaron Kelly TE J'Nathan Bullock OT Joel Bell, Alex Boone, Jason Watkins, Gerald Cadogan OG C.J. Davis DT Michael Bennett DE Mitch King, Maurice Evans, Rulon Davis LB Dannell Ellerbe CB Jahi Word-Daniels S OLB/FB Brian Toal
  9. Just checked with DraftTek. They had him going at 201 to Indy.
  10. Beginning to think we were wrong about Follett, Murtha, and Ellerbe. May be UDFA's. What the hey. Take Willy.
  11. tough, physical defender that some scouts feel is among the draft's most underrated at the position. Harris might fit best in the NFL in a zone scheme or even at free safety due to his instincts, toughness and reliable open-field tackling.
  12. Cary Harris was the best CB on my board in Round 5. Getting him Round 6 is good.
  13. Follett, Ellerbe or Murtha, I'll bet...
  14. Getting near the pick now... Michael Bennett DE43 Texas A&M Vance Walker DT43 Georgia Tech Aaron Kelly WRP Clemson Jaimie Thomas OG Maryland Quan Cosby WRF Texas Jonathan Casillas OLB43 Wisconsin Andrew Gardner OT Georgia Tech Zack Follett OLB43 California
  15. Alex Boone has an alcohol problem. Only alcoholics will pick him at #183.
  16. Michael Bennett DE43 Texas A&M Vance Walker DT43 Georgia Tech Aaron Kelly WRP Clemson Jaimie Thomas OG Maryland Quan Cosby WRF Texas Jonathan Casillas OLB43 Wisconsin Andrew Gardner OT Georgia Tech Zack Follett OLB43 California Please post if I need to eliminate ones that have been picked. Tx--Astro
  17. Some early names for Round 6: (again, some may have already been picked---let me know) Michael Bennett DE43 Texas A&M Vance Walker DT43 Georgia Tech Aaron Kelly WRP Clemson Jaimie Thomas OG Maryland Quan Cosby WRF Texas Jonathan Casillas OLB43 Wisconsin Andrew Gardner OT Georgia Tech Zack Follett OLB43 California
  18. Nic Harris is also good at mirroring the QB. Good size, play-reading, and attack mentality!
  19. I remember you bringing his name up months ago, and like his height at safety, especially since we sometimes get burned over the top by guys like Moss. These safeties should help in the red zone.
  20. Reach of -57, but I LOVE the pick. Great depth in the backfield. Now it's certain they take Keiaho at OLB, though.
  21. Good Choice! All of us liked him from the get-go. OLB, or Safety?
  22. Yes--Although it hasn't updated Round 5 yet for some reason! http://www.drafttek.com/round52009.asp The simulator also allows you to make grabs or hypothetical trades, and it's filling in in real time. http://drafttek.com/new%20simulator/frmLogin.aspx
