  1. OOO that's right. I pulled him from the DraftTek Simulator and now my draft is: 1-Jermaine Gresham TE Mizzou 2-Arthur Jones DT Syracuse 3-Lee Ziemba OT Auburn 4-Reggie Carter ILB UCLA 5-Austin English DE Oklahoma 6-Michael Moore WR Georgia 7-Dan Doering OG Iowa Thanks.
  2. 1-Jermaine Gresham TE Mizzou 2-Arthur Jones DT Syracuse 3-Lee Ziemba OT Auburn 4-Jeremy Jarmon DE Kentucky 5-Joshua Bynes ILB Auburn 6-Michael Moore WR Georgia 7-Dan Doering OG Iowa I am pessimistically drafting 8th. Put that in your time capsule! Astro
  3. Ellison was #3 in total tackles last season (Poz was 1st, Mitchell 2nd) He was 2nd in assists. Source I don't think he's the weak link on the team. I think the weak link was lack of offensive talent, and TO, Schouman, Fine, Jackson-Rhodes, and Stevie Johnson are giong to take us to the playoffs.
  4. Players that concern me: 1. Lynch - Have his 2 infractions straightened him out and grown him up? 2. McKelvin - Can he pick up the playbook so as to assert himself in a conference full of dominant WR's? Honorable Mention: --Edwards - Can he prove himself to be the leadeer of a team in need of one since the Kelly era? --Stroud - Can he dominate, pressure, and stop the run like his AFC East counterparts and be a Pro Bowler?
  5. Today at 9:00 am was supposed to be when you could buy tickets to evening practice sessions at St. John Fisher. Anyone know what gives?
  6. Now this is funny. I'll go with McCargo - McKelvin. Well, gotta go to McDonald's...
  7. I'm thinking this year's interception statistics might look more like this: Leodis McKelvin 4 Donte Whitner 3 Jairus Byrd 2 Terrence McGee 2 Kawicka Mitchell 2 Paul Posluszny 1 Aaron Maybin 1 Reggie Corner 1 Ellis Lankster 1 TOTAL 17 OPPONENTS TOTAL 10 Any Thoughts?
  8. Who'd have thunk that billybob knew Hebrew. I think of a banjo player singing "If I Were a Rich Man", Deedle-Deidle Doodle Dum.
  9. Let me ask a question. I really don't know the answer. Players get talked to, shown new techniques, and watch film. How much change can this instruction bring about under live fire? It seems to me that thinking is too SLOW to use in real games, and you are left with mere reaction--automatic response. Is that likely to be changed by a d-line coach?
  10. I'm having a coffee slushie. Tweet!
  11. No on the replacement games. I would devote more of my tv time to college football.
  12. Whoa. I had forgotten the post topic. Put me down for Tebow-Bradford, pretty much a coin flip for me. Bradford seems more polished in the pro game, and Tebow seems for athletic, with an insatiable desire to win.
  13. I think Shawn Nelson will be even better than he was in college, since many of Nelson's catches were on badly thrown balls. I have never seen so many times where a receiver was so mis-led. It is quite possible that, within a year, 6 starters will come from this one draft.
  14. From my imdb database: FELICIA TERRELL: "Days of Our Lives" .... Arianna Hernandez / ... (15 episodes, 2009) ... aka "Cruise of Deception: Days of Our Lives" (USA: summer title) ... aka "DOOL" (USA: informal short title) ... aka "Days" (USA: short title) - Episode #1.11099 (2009) TV episode (as Felicity Terrell) .... Arianna Hernandez - Episode #1.11090 (2009) TV episode .... Arianna Hernandez - Episode #1.11087 (2009) TV episode .... Arianna Hernandez - Episode #1.11086 (2009) TV episode .... Arianna Hernandez - Episode #1.11085 (2009) TV episode .... Arianna Hernandez (10 more) "Entourage" .... Carol (1 episode, 2008) - Fantasy Island (2008) TV episode (as Felisha Terrell) .... Carol Get Smart (2008) (as Felisha Terrell) .... Control Assistant #1
  15. As of now, my microchips calculate that: Ellison has the edge (65%) to Pat Thomas (15%) to Bowen (10%) to Harris (7%) to Ashlee Palmer (3%). After this "training camp" you speak of, I expect it to be Ellison (55%) starting Preseason Game 1 over Bowen (45%). Pat Thomas will be hurt (again), Harris will back up Bowen, and Ashlee Palmer will be cut. Bowen will be listed as the back up for Mitchell on the other side.

  17. Thanks for that read, Lori-- It's a tremendously written and evocative piece.
  18. Methinks You'll hear the word "Chase" a lot during camp: "Oops! that one got away from me! Patton, chase that ball!"
  19. Agree. This is a better bet than taking the chance on Bowen or Ellison. Git 'er done!
  20. All the more reason to take a little break from football. When you start discussing with yourself as separate posters, time for a little vacation.
  21. Round 1-Could have gone with Hakeem Nicks or Peria Jerry, but chose Knowshon Moreno. Round 2-Rey Maualuga. as in his tackle made him cough up a maualuga. Runnerup: Fili Moala. Round 3-Ramses Barden...Kraig Urbik is 2nd--you just know he's an O-Line Guy. Round 4-Slade Norris. I'd hire him for a porn film if he gets cut. Not that I'm into that. Round 5-Javon Ringer beats out John Nalbone and Fenuki Tupou. Ringer = good RB if he doesn't step in the tupou. Round 6-Bear Pascoe and Stryker Sulak in an unprecedented tie. Round 7-Fui Vakapuna and Captain Munnerlyn were in it, but Moises Fukou will get some fan thrown out of somewhere. Perhaps one side of the stadium will start a chant: "Moises!" and the other side will respond, "Fukou!"
  22. It is clear that we're fine with letting Peters go, because we took Levitre and got Wood. So glad we didn't also take Underwood. Tell me, front office, why did we pass on B.J., Fili, and Succup?
  23. Technically, you don't have a verb in the highlighted sentence, as the word "demonstrate" is part of a noun phrase that is the direct object. Take your post back to your desk, and try harder.
