  1. Also here (Rochester D&C this morning) http://www.democratandchronicle.com/section/billsdecade
  2. Whittner-McCargo-Youboty-Simpson is perhaps worse than the Pat Williams-Mike Williams fiascos, which for me are #2 and #3.
  3. I am surprised that Harris isn't getting a look at LB. I do imagine that he moves up too; as Scott moves to LB then HArris moves up at Safety behind Whitner-Byrd.
  4. "Holy Schidt! Where's The Tylenol?" LOL
  5. http://www.seattlepi.com/scorecard/cfootba...rticleID=234355 "Marrone said the receiver told him of his decision on Monday. He would not elaborate on the details of the discussion. 'Mike Williams came into me today and has quit the program,'Marrone said Monday. 'I'm not going to discuss the conversation from my end. He walked up to me and voluntarily took himself off the team.' "
  6. http://www.drafttek.com/2010players.asp Players moving Up: QB's Locker, Bradford, Clausen; OT's Bulaga, Charles Brown; DE's Derrick Morgan and Everson Griffen Right Outside Round 1: TE Jermaine Gresham, OT/OG Anthony Davis, OLB Bruce Carter; WR Mike Williams (although I hear he quit Syracuse today) Players Moving Down: OT Russell Okung and Selvish Capers; RB C.J. Spiller; DT Marvin Austin; OLB Sean Weatherspoon; DE Brandon Graham and George Selvie ; CB's Patrick Robinson and Syd'Quan Thompson The two rounder still has us taking Jake Locker in RD#1 (http://www.drafttek.com/round12010.asp), and an OLB in Round 2 with questionable character, Navarro Bowman. I can lock him out of the next draft if you wish. What is becoming increasingly evident with the 2010 draft is that it will be deep at positions we need: OT, QB, DT, OLB. Wonder if we're coming to realize we need to draft Top 11 to land the OT or QB we need.
  7. As Scoop said, "His lack of 'nads and heart show up even against the backdrop of the Chargers as a whole." Totally not worth it. He was a good trade by the Dolphags. They ended up with Chad Henne in that transaction.
  8. RRich, great post--far from meaningless. I soon hope to be reading some great posts from you about the draft! Hope springs eternal.
  9. Tough and Great Leader makes me think of Jim Kelly. Maybe it's not such a bad first pick. Now if I can just lock out Navarro Bowman in the 2nd and get a freakin' lineman...
  10. You have to draft a QB early enough to acquaint himself with the system before throwing him in there. Now is the time to do that. Good OT's will be available in RD#2 and 3, and in FA.
  11. +1 We are weak running up the middle. Hangartener is a liability.
  12. I am perplexed at DraftTek's computer pick for the Bills in RD#1: QB Jake Locker. http://www.drafttek.com/round12010.asp As per your recommendations, I put in our positional needs. The comnputer spat out Locker. Brandon Spikes was still on the board. He'd make a kickazz ILB, either moving Poz to the outside or go with a 3-4. Arthur Jones from Syracuse (the DE) DT Terrence Cody, and WR Dez Bryant were the next 3 picks. How bad would Cody be next to Stroud? I intend to put a comment up about Locker, but would you have rather had Spikes or Cody or someone else? I can change our positional needs accordingly. Astro, Bills Correspondent DraftTek
  13. Makes Romo all the more suspect and the Bills' QB's all the more viable.
  14. Have to agree, H2O. The plaayer #2 in interceptions isn't on the ProBowl ballot? I have to wonder if the NFL is using electronic ballots or hanging Chads...
  15. Then the Patriettes* selecting Jerod Mayo 1 pick ahead of us, then Crabtree picked 1 pick ahead of us in 2009...
  16. I believe your 2nd draft scenario is the most sane. LB is a free agency fix as there are some good ones, LT is already on the team (DBell), and taking a DT first rounds out depth there. QB's at our pick in RD#2 include Pike and Snead, neither shaking up college football right now. Incidentally, OT Fox right now is #103 on DraftTek's Big Board and Colorado's Nate Solder leapfrogged him. If Solder comes out for the draft, Solder would be a good tackle pick in RD#3.
  17. Game Changers: The Greatest Plays in Buffalo Bills Football History (50 Greatest Plays in Football History) (Hardcover) Can anyone confirm if it's blank?
  18. Good Call. Our Big Board guys have him ranked #135 in the draft right now, seeing him as a DE in a 4-3 or possibly an OLB in the 3-4, going possibly in RD#4 or #5.
  19. P1 = None P2 = QB, OT P3 = LB, DT P4 = TE, OC, DE P9 = FS, SS, RB, WR I think I'll submit this for DraftTek's next consensus draft. Feel dree to enter your own positional needs into their ODS Simulator where you can change draft order, make trades, etc. Thanks for the good contributions!
  20. I think the thought here is that Denney's contract is up and Maybin isn't the run-stopper type DE. Agree our need is greater at TE, and (depending on Wood's ultimate position) OC.
  21. I think this makes sense, especially given the array of great QB and OT's about where we pick. Also, since LB is deep in free agency, you have that priority right behind. I'd add WR either at P9 or P4, leading toward P9.
  22. I thought we had trouble up the middle with the beefy DT's Carolina had (Hollis Thomas et al). I will bet we'll either see the move of Wood to OC and picking up a Day 2 OG or leave Wood where he is and get a backup OC, again Day 2. We don't know if we have TO's replacement b/c Steve Johnson and James Hardy have yet to see the field, and Justin Jenkins has size and speed as well. When will we start working these guys onto the field? How many TO faux-pas will it take?
