  1. Not to be confused with Fina, which means never did something.
  2. I like all four of your picks. Plus your picks allow the 3-4 more. I will tell you that there are still some good DT's left on many mocks at RD#5, even though the very best ones will gone by RD1#9.
  3. Plus the lowest TD to INT ratio of the top 6 QB's...
  4. McCluster's stock will rise and fall all the way to April. My take right now is that McCluster's diminutive size makes him a Roscoe Parrish type player--darting water bug, good punt returner, likely hurt when he plays over the middle with the big boys. I like your picks, though, and hope that Pike falls to RD2#41...
  5. Assume no big name free agent signings (Dansby, McNabb) have been made, TO is let go, and the Bills stick with a 4-3 as base defense. Here are 5 players we think will be available at our pick in each round, and at least one who we think won't be (although you could pick them one round early). Make the picks you think give us the best chance to win over the next 2 years. ROUND 1 (McClain isn't there--goes to KC at #5; Clausen-Bradford are gone) ---Trent Williams OT Oklahoma ---Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State ---Dan Williams DT Tennessee ---Terrence Cody DT Alabama ---Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa ---Derrick Morgan DE Georgia Tech ---Anthony Davis OG Rutgers ---Mike Iupati OG Idaho ---Sean Weatherspoon OLB Missouri ---Colt McCoy QB Texas ROUND 2 (Kindle-Spikes gone) ---Tim Tebow QB Florida ---Jermaine Gresham TE Oklahoma ---Mardy Gilyard WR Cincinnati ---Jason Pierre-Paul DE South Florida ---Aaron Hernandez TE Florida ---Tony Pike QB Cincinnati ---Vladimir Ducasse OG Massachusetts ---Mike Johnson OT Alabama ---Tyson Alualu DT California ROUND 3 (Willie Young DE, Bowman LB, Jason Fox OT gone) ---Arthur Jones DT Syracuse ---Daryl Washington ILB TCU ---Eric Norwood ILB South Carolina ---Matt Tennant OC Boston College ---Jeremy Williams WRF Tulane ---Jordan Shipley WRS Texas ---Jevan Snead QB Mississippi ---Selvish Capers OT West Virginia ---Ben Tate RB Auburn ---Ed Dickson TE Oregon ---Dexter McCluster WR Mississippi ROUND 4 (D'Anthony Smith DT, Ciron Black OT/OG, Muckleroy LB gone) ---Dan LeFevour QB Central Michigan ---Brandon Lang DE Troy ---O'Brien Schofield OLB Wisconsin ---George Selvie DE South Florida ---Zane Beadles OG Utah ---Tony Moeaki FB Iowa ---Dekoda Watson OLB Florida State ---Micah Johnson ILB Kentucky ---Danario Alexander WR Missouri ---A.J. Edds OLB Iowa Still on the board after our #4 pick, which you may use: ---Mitch Petrus OG Arkansas ---Brandon Carter OG Texas Tech ---Jared Veldheer OT Hillsdale ---Thaddeus Gibson OLB Ohio State ---Jarrett Brown QB West Virginia My Picks: ---Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa ---Tony Pike QB Cincinnati ---Eric Norwood ILB South Carolina ---Brandon Lang DE Troy And taking ---Jared Veldheer OT Hillsdale in the 5th
  6. We have only 4 tackles available by the Bills' second pick, and all of them reaches: ---Vladimir Ducasse (going to Dallas at #59 in our next draft, and more likely a Guard) ---Mike Johnson from Alabama (going to Chargers at #60) ---Mike Fox from Miami (going early in RD#3 to KC) Ciron Black would be a major reach, more likely a Guard, and likely there in RD#3.
  7. Make sure your seat is behind the cornerbacks. Our corners are always short.
  8. DraftGuys are one of my favorite sites...I remember reading Steve Johnson's review by them and said to myself, "Man, I hope the Bills draft this guy." They show his workout regimen, get a little interview, well done.
  9. Praying for your speedy and full recovery, BeerBall, and for your family!
  10. Post of the Week. One reason why I am resisting with Tebow in the RD2 are the players who are still available on most mocks when we'd pick Tebow. I ran this simulation a few minutes ago: 41 Buffalo Tim Tebow QB Florida 42 NEngland Jermaine Gresham TE Oklahoma 43 Miami Brandon LaFell WR LSU 44 T Bay Golden Tate WR Notre Dame 45 Denver Marshawn Gilyard WR Cincinnati 46 NY Giants Chad Jones SS LSU 47 NEngland Ryan Mathews RBF Fresno State 48 Carolina Jason Pierre-Paul DE South Florida I'd take Gresham TE, Gilyard WR/KR, and Pierre Paul DE, as well as Hernandez TE before I'd take Tebow at 41.
  11. The knock on Gaither has been that he's so tall that it's hard for him to bend enough to get "under" the oncoming DE without losing leverage.
  12. This is another indication that we will be looking hard at Derrick Morgan GT's OLB in Round 1. We have Morgan ranked #9. "During Smith’s tenure as recruiting coordinator, the Jackets have signed several nationally ranked players, including Jonathan Dwyer, Derrick Morgan, Demaryius Thomas and Morgan Burnett, whom are all expected to go in the first four rounds of the NFL Draft in April." Source Morgan moved around to RDE a lot in the Orange Bowl game. He consistently flushed QB vs Bulaga (who held him several times and wasn't called); and he even blew up plays when the Iowa offense seemed to plan plays to avoid him.
  13. I also think that the crop of OT's in the first at #9 is far better (Remember we passed on Oher).
  14. DraftTek Mock Draft 14 (not yet released): 1-Trent Williams OT Oklahoma 2-Tim Tebow QB Florida 3-Arthur Jones DT Syracuse 4-Dan LeFevour QB Central Michigan 5-Thaddeus Gibson OLB Ohio State 6-Cameron Sheffield DE Troy 7-Chris Marinelli OT Stanford Astro Bills Correspondent, www.drafttek.com
  15. While I like Taylor Mays as a player (in our latest mock he'll be going #15 to the Giants), if we draft him I'll know ol' Buddy is senile. We need to draft linemen at least 4x during this draft (LT, OC/LG, DE, DT), and the RD#1 pick better be special.
  16. For sheer smarts, this would be a very strong 3rd Round pick. The more I find out about Pike, the more I like this pick.
  17. I just put the GRAB in for LeFevour in Round 3 if he is there, then read this! The new mock isn't up yet, but I'll let you know. Astro www.drafttek.com
  18. Starks is Buffalo Bulls' first FBS 1000 yard rusher, and is out of the spotlight due to a shoulder injury. He's also Jonny Flynn's cousin. It's a buyer's market on RB's, so we could pick him up late in the draft. Naaman Roosevelt's a beanpole, but was extremely productive with Drew Willy in there, and still productive without Starks or Willy in '09: 2008 totals of 104 catches, 1,402 yards and 13 TD, then 2009 totals of 70 catches, 954 yards and 9 TD. Brandon Carter, mammoth right guard for Texas Tech, is a tattooed, slovenly blue-collar guy, who'll give you ragdoll pancake blocks on 2 plays and then draw a 15 yd. personal foul for a hit in the back (see Alamo Bowl). It's not that I would want him before Round 4, but he'd be value come Round 5.

  20. LT: Anthony Davis QB: Brian Brohm
  21. Jones wasn't as good at collapsing the pocket as McCoy and Brian Price. One disruptive later-on guy is Lamarr Houston, but I expected more from him in the Texas-Alabama game. Vince Oghobaase and Geno Atkins could come into play.
  22. Different Boards have QB's at different places. Here is our QB Board at DraftTek right now (before combine, before Senior Bowl). The first number is where they are on our Big Board. 4 *Sam Bradford - currently being picked #4, by WAS 9 *Jimmy Clausen - currently being picked #7, by CLE 18 Colt McCoy - currently being picked #30, by MIN 25 Tim Tebow - currently being picked #11, by JAX 71 Tony Pike - currently being picked #69, by OAK 102 *Jevan Snead - currently being picked #101, by SEA 119 Dan LeFevour - currently being picked #121, by ARI 127 Sean Canfield, Oregon State - currently being picked #128 by Rams 193 Jonathan Crompton, Tennessee - currently being picked #136 by BUF (way early for Crompton IMHO) 199 John Skelton, Fordham - still unpicked when Round 6 Starts 202 Jarrett Brown, WVU - still unpicked when Round 6 Starts 219 Bill Stull, Pittsburgh - still unpicked when Round 6 Starts Further Down: 257 Tim Hiller Western Michigan 264 Mike Kafka Northwestern 290 Zac Robinson Oklahoma State 296 Joe Webb UAB 323 Max Hall BYU 371 Billy Cundiff Ashland 372 Ryan Perrilloux Jacksonville State 387 Matt Grothe South Florida 405 Daryll Clark Penn State 415 Kyle Reed San Jose State 434 Rusty Smith Florida Atlantic 465 Joe Cox Georgia 469 Isiah Williams Illinois 481 Todd Reesing Kansas

Click "San Fran" and click next to our 9th slot. San Fran will appear in red. Now run the sim as above. Astrobot
