  1. With the 41st pick in the 2nd Round, the Bills select: Cam Thomas DT34, North Carolina (This is why democracy is so inferior to a benevolent despotism. The correct answer was Brown. But I defer to the masses)

  3. Ahem.... Actually toe, Morgan and Bryant are both in the first round. Copy the post above yours and put "---------voted off by turftoe" next to ONE of those. then put "---------voted off by turftoe" next to Brandon Spikes.
  4. So you can't hear bitching from the passenger seat?
  5. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. This is the Round TWO pick.
  6. I think he needs our trainers, but he'd be my pick over Cam Thomas.
  7. Pick a player to vote off the Bills Island for Rounds 1 and 2. Only players possibly there at our pick are listed. Reply to the previous post, and add your axed player. We'll see who is left. 8. I don't like Cam Thomas as much as Cody for us; I think of him as a bigger Kyle Williams. Good effort, able to hold the point, some ability to get to the QB, not a space eater. The run on DT's is going to cause us to reach for a NT at some point. Could be now. Demarius Thomas is an interesting pick. Many thought he'd go in the first round (Judge vs. Prisco: one says yes and one says no), so there's value here. I think WR's will still have value in later rounds, so I didn't vote for one here. I guess people think taking Spikes is a good pick despite having Poz and Andra Davis. Maybe OLB for one, or you're taking Andra Davis's age into account (32 this December)...

  10. With the 9th pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, the Bills TSW Board selects... Trent Williams, LT. Round 2 begins shortly.
  11. We know that preguessing the Lions and Rams is a crapshoot. Heck the whole mock draft thing is a game. That's what I'm hosting here. A Game. That said, I disagree that Carooll would ride Charlie Whitehurst over a chance at Bradford / Clausen. Read this: http://blog.mlive.com/highlightreel/2010/0...ensus_on_t.html
  12. My collected info on Trent Williams. I'm feeling better now. --three-year starter for the Sooners. --#10 on CBSSports BigBoard now --second-fastest 40 among all offensive linemen (4.88) --the top vertical jump --third-longest broad jump --Fires off the line and dominates when drive blocking --Turns his man whichever way is needed and sustains the block. --Nice lateral movement --2009: 885 plays and 102 knockdown blocks; 2008: 131 knockdowns, with 18 knockdowns in BCS title game vs Florida --2009: Oklahoma attempted 476 passes, became the highest-scoring team in the modern era (702 points). --Williams was the only returning lineman this year but was still named All-American (with Okung) --Patient; gets comfortable in stance --Light on his feet --Great balance --Wasn't asked to pull or trap, but is mobile enough to be effective sealing off the MIKE linebacker --Good burst off the snap to run block, and latches onto his man immediately. --Reaches linebackers and safeties at the second level quickly off the snap. --Gets hands into the jersey and moves his feet to drive the man back. --Sets quickly after his kick slide on both the left and right side --Will be more consistent protecting on the right side --Instinctive; counters moves well --Nice stunt/blitz awareness --Effective hand punch --Shows ability to handle elite speed off edge --Looks for secondary targets to block downfield when needed. --Unselfish player who works hard on the field and in practice. --Plays through minor injuries. --Returned to school despite being a probable second-round pick in order to return to the BCS championship and complete his education. --NFL Comparison: Jammal Brown, New Orleans Saints
  13. Me neither. I wouldn't be angry if they picked him, but there's just something about "Williams at Tackle" that makes me wonder!
  14. McShay is right; there are 2 QB's that are first round material and none that are 2nd round material.
  15. Round Pick Team Selection Psn School 1 1 St Louis Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma 1 2 Detroit Ndamukong Suh DT43 Nebraska 1 3 T Bay Gerald McCoy DT43 Oklahoma 1 4 Washing Russell Okung OT Oklahoma State 1 5 KanCity Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa 1 6 Seattle Jimmy Clausen QB Notre Dame 1 7 Cleve Eric Berry FS Tennessee 1 8 Oakland Bruce Campbell OT Maryland 1 9 Buffalo ?????? It was a perfect storm. Both quarterback, both DT's, and the top 3 OT'sand Eric Berry went off the board before the Bills' #9 pick in the first round. Your goals for this draft --and likely next year--are numerous: Move to a 3-4 on defense, get a nose tackle, get a OLB and a DE, get to their quarterback, look at franchise QB, and get your QB a feature WR if he isn't on the team already. You're on the clock. And Bills Nation, bricks in hand, awaits your pick. You may select up to 3 players from the multiple choices. I will resimulate the draft using the player or trade with the highest number of votes using DraftTek's ODS . Have Fun! Astro
  16. We pick up 1 in UDFA! Terrence Johnson, California (PA) --Akwasi-Owusu Ansah is the small school CB from PA thats getting all the press and pub but Terrence Johnson played just as well this season. A different kind of player, Johnson is more of a small speedy corner that can run with anyone but he has legit 4.3 speed and was a true shutdown corner on his level. He also had 16 interceptions in his career and also contributed in the return game.
  17. Correct. Not that we have any speed rushers in our division He's fallen to our 3rd Round Value Board for the Bills, along with Dan LeFevour, Jared Veldheer OT, Toby Gerhart RB, Tony Pike QB, and Tim Tebow.
  18. I ran a simulation of that scenario here. DraftTek ODS Here are the results: 20 Buffalo Anthony Davis OT Rutgers (Graham was drafted at 19) 41 Buffalo Rodger Saffold OT Indiana (Cody was drafted at 40) 51 Buffalo Cam Thomas DT34 North Carolina 72 Buffalo Taylor Price WRF Ohio (Tony Pike avail.) 104 Buffalo Arthur Jones DE34 Syracuse (Dennis Pitta TE and Torrell Troup DT34 avail.) 115 Buffalo Perry Riley ILB LSU 136 Buffalo Ted Larsen OC NC State (Owens DT34 and Lindsey Witten OLB avail.) 168 Buffalo Rahim Alem OLB34 LSU 182 Buffalo Andrew Quarless TE Penn State 193 Buffalo Chris Scott OG Tennessee 200 Buffalo Zac Robinson QB Oklahoma State (Grab) (Marcus Easley WR and Oghobaase DE)

  20. The other knock on Carter is his penalties--usually unsportsmanlike. Awesome tats, and eye black on game day. A little swagger for the Bills, if you're willing to get a 15 yarder now and then.
  21. The Simulator at DraftTek now has this, which already takes this week's 2 signings into account. I would do a happy dance. 1-9 Buffalo Dan Williams DT34 Tennessee 2-41 Buffalo Rodger Saffold OT Indiana 3-72 Buffalo Taylor Price WRF Ohio 4-104 Buffalo Arthur Jones DE34 Syracuse 5-136 Buffalo Perry Riley ILB LSU 6-168 Buffalo Eric Olsen OC Notre Dame 6-182 Buffalo Andrew Quarless TE Penn State 7-193 Buffalo Jammie Kirlew OLB34 Indiana 7-200 Buffalo Derek Hardman OT Eastern Kentucky I'm not a big fan of Eric Olsen, but Taylor Price is a wonderful choice in RD3.
  22. Best years so far, you mean. Bruce=Brandon Graham RD1 Talley=Brandon Spikes RD2 Andre=Blair White RD4
  23. OK, here we go... Bunnies have TWO ears. The W makes an upside down pair of ears. The bunny goes to the one hole OO! There are too many holes for the bunny to choose!
  24. I think their late losses will actually help them. These guys aren't going to overlook anybody, and they'll be playing teams who haven't seen their defense up close. That and Onuaku's improving health. Victory over KSU, 82-69.
