  1. 28%---------------------J. Clausen, QB, ND 24%---------------------T.Williams, T, OK 16%---------------------A.Davis, T, RUT 12%---------------------D.Williams DT, TENN 12%---------------------B.Bulaga, T, IOWA 4%----------------------B. Campbell, T, MD 4%----------------------D. Bryant, WR, OKST A quick survey of 25 mock draft sites updated since the McNabb signing shows Jimmy Clausen and Trent Williams now lead. Quite a difference from 3 weeks ago. Davis has moved up too, making it a multi-horse race.
  2. The expert is wrong. Ask him who blocked for Bradford? Here's how we have them: 1. Russell Okung, Oklahoma State (Top 5) 2. Bryan Bulaga, Iowa (Top 10) 3. Trent Williams, Oklahoma (Top 15---the location of the NY Giants, who take him if Buffalo or SF don't) 4. Anthony Davis, Rutgers (1st) 5. Bruce Campbell, Maryland (Late 1st-Early 2nd) 6. Charles Brown, USC (Late 1st-Early 2nd) 7. Rodger Saffold, Indiana (2nd) 8. Jared Veldheer, Hillsdale (2nd-3rd) 9. Jason Fox, Miami (3rd-4th)
  3. We think they'll go for Okung. Oakland takes Clausen? 1 1 St Louis Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma 1 2 Detroit Ndamukong Suh DT43 Nebraska 1 3 Tampa Bay Gerald McCoy DT43 Oklahoma 1 4 Washington Russell Okung OT Oklahoma State 1 5 Kansas City Eric Berry SS Tennessee 1 6 Seattle C.J. Spiller RBC Clemson 1 7 Cleveland Joe Haden CB Florida 1 8 Oakland Jimmy Clausen QB Notre Dame 1 9 Buffalo Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa
  4. WOOP! WOOP! WOOP! Seriously--what would we do with two NT's? Platoon them with Strooooooood?
  5. Ngata is exactly who I was thinking about. I heard Mayock thinks he'll go in the 2nd. I'd buy 3rd round, but most draftniks are saying RD3-4. The wild card is the lack of NT's and the need for them, vs. BPA. Joseph wouldn't be the BPA for, say, the Saints in RD2, but they may pull that trigger.
  6. I forgive you. Teams are now looking at Joseph as a potential 3-4 DE rather than NT. He sometimes lined up at DE on passing downs, beating slower college OTs around the edge. It's interesting how often times positions get pegged for ideal height and weights and then some team comes along and plays good players that don't fit that picture to good results. The Ravens have played Ngata at 3-4 end a fair bit. Also why not play bigger stouter guys at DE in a 3-4 if their main job is to stop the run and get penetration. His ability to move around the line will make him an important part of the rotation this year.
  7. We have to draft a guy that, when he makes a great play, we can yell, "OOOOOH!" for. I miss yelling "BrUUUUUUUUUUUce" every time he'd make a sack or TFL. So after much wine, I give you the... All-OOOOOH Draft 1-Ndamukong Suh DT Nebraska (SUH-WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!-t) 2-Corey Wootton DE Northwestern 3- [sacrificed in the trade-up for Suh, along with Lynch and Whitner) 4-Torrell Troup NT Central Florida 5-Riley Cooper WRF Florida 6-[sacrificed in the trade-up for Suh, along with Lynch and Whitner) 6-Adam Ulatoski OT Texas 7-Seyi Ajirotutu WRF Fresno State 7-Michael Hoomanawanui TE Illinois UDFA Mickey Shuler Penn State TE Mike Newton Buffalo FS Jordan Pugh Texas A&M CB FS KR p.s. We don't have to take Ryan Perriloux.
  8. Seattle wants CJ Spiller and Derrick Morgan. They take CJ Spiller at #6, and Seattle has a second pick this year at #14. Seattle knows they need to get ahead of Jacksonville at #10. The Bills oblige by switching picks in Round 1 and take Seattle's #14 pick along with their #60 pick. The resulting draft gives the Bills Trent Williams LT at the #14, and a second pick in RD2. 14 Buffalo Trent Williams LT Oklahoma 41 Buffalo Terrence Cody NT Alabama 60 Buffalo Koa Misi OLB34 Utah 72 Buffalo Jason Fox RT Miami 107 Buffalo Linval Joseph DE34 East Carolina 140 Buffalo Rahim Alem OLB34 LSU 178 Buffalo Shay Hodge WRF Mississippi 192 Buffalo Tony Washington OT Abilene Christian 209 Buffalo Chris Scott OT Tennessee 216 Buffalo Freddie Barnes WRF Bowling Green
  9. We could have him help OJ look for the real killer...
  10. Boy, that would be my dream. We know that some player of value to another team would be there at #9. If it's of value to them and not us, do the tradedown and take the RD2 pick. Spiller would make me pause a bit before doing a tradedown, but in the end I know that I have to come out of RD3 with a LT, NT and either a QB or LB. I make that trade.
  11. If I had to guess today, it might look something like this down to Oakland's pick: 1 1 St Louis Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma 1 2 Detroit Ndamukong Suh DT43 Nebraska 1 3 Tampa Bay Gerald McCoy DT43 Oklahoma 1 4 Washington Russell Okung OT Oklahoma State 1 5 Kansas City Eric Berry SS Tennessee 1 6 Seattle C.J. Spiller RBC Clemson P3Gr 1 7 Cleveland Joe Haden CB Florida Al Davis has to choose between fast shiny (Dez Bryant, Derrick Morgan), big ugly (Bulaga, Trent Williams), and fix my own mistakes (Clausen). Historically, Al goes with fast shiny.
  12. Mine looks about the same, although mine is strictly for the Bills: In order of preference in each round. RD1 *Sam Bradford Oklahoma QB Russell Okung Oklahoma State LT *Bryan Bulaga Iowa LT Derrick Morgan Georgia Tech DE43 (but would help Bills) Brandon Graham Michigan OLB34 *Anthony Davis Rutgers OT Trent Williams Oklahoma RT/LT *Jimmy Clausen Notre Dame QB Dan Williams Tennessee DT34 C.J. 13. Agree. My three "take a flyer" candidates are Zac Robinson, Perriloux, and Brian Babin. From Beandog's Rankings over at DraftTek: Sleeper: Brian Babin, Southeastern Louisiana (7th-UDFA) - Similar to guys like Skelton and Jarrett Brown in that they have the size and arm to succeed at the next level but are lacking in other areas. Babin is 6-5 225 so he definitely has to succeed at the next level. Like most college QBs, he worked completely out of the shotgun so he will need to adjust to taking snaps under center. He could use a little more bulk but looking at the game tape he has great athleticism for his size and really excels at throwing on the run. He has shown the ability to avoid the rush and keep plays alive by using his superior size, similar to Big Ben and McNabb. A three year starter, he threw 65 TDs as opposed to only 23 interceptions, 8 of which came in his first two years. He had a 10:3 TD to INT ratio as a junior and senior. His 62% completion percentage was a bit deceiving as he only had one weapon to work with, WR Simmie Yarborough a sophomore that is a future sleeper. Overall I see as a guy that has value as a long term project as he needs to bulk up, learn how to play under center, and work on his intermediate routes since most of his offense was short passes often and then taking a shot downfield once in a while.
  14. What we saw with Gailey in choosing GT coaches shows loyalty to the past. At least one or two Bills picks will have connections back to Georgia Tech, Pitt, Upper St. Clair, etc.
  15. "Our offense is so dope this year. Coach has a Sick playbook. Oh thee excitement" http://www.twitter.com/StevieJohnson13
  16. Whaley lettered four years as safety/linebacker, so maybe he takes OLB/DE Brandon Graham in RD1. Whaley is a Western PA guy, so maybe he listens to what Jim Kelly is saying and we draft Tebow in RD2. Whaley played both ways at Upper St. Clair in 1989, so maybe we take Upper St. Clair grad Sean Lee ILB in RD3. Whaley went to Pitt and had back-to-back 300 yard rushing days as a fullback, so maybe we draft Dorin Dickerson in RD4.
  17. There is a TE named Riar Geer. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dspro...0&genpos=TE
  18. My latest using available players in each round according to DraftTek's ODS: Trade Lynch for 3rd Rounder to Tampa Bay #67. 9 Bryan Bulaga LT 41 Cam Thomas NT 67 Jason Fox RT 72 Donald Butler ILB 107 Linval Joseph DE34 140 Ben Tate RB 178 O'Brien Schofield OLB34 192 Blair White WR 209 Zac Robinson QB 216 Chris Scott OT
  19. Round 1 - C.J. Spiller - RB - Went 6th to Seattle in our Simulation this week so not there at #9. Round 2 - Roger Saffold - LT - 37th to Washington in our Simulation this week so not there at #41. Round 3 - Lamar Houston - DE - 69th to Oakland; not there at #72. Round 4 - Levi Brown - QB - Not Drafted Round 5 - Jason Worilds - OLB -79th to San Francisco; not there at #140.
  20. Graham is one reason why I wouldn't toss a brick at the TV if the OT's go off the board early! Isn't Kindle also the name of the electronic book that Barnes & Noble sells? Kind of ironic that Segrio Kindle crashed into a building while texting electronically...
  21. I was thinking about this. Would I prefer the LT in the first (Bulaga) then the NT (Cody), then work on ILB-OLB-DE? or Would I prefer the NT in the first (Dan Williams), then the BOLA (best o-lineman available) --likely Asamoah or Veldheer? It's not even close. I take Bulaga-Cody.
  22. Quoth a Ravens' fan on one of their boards: "Demises of NFL franchises either start with the loss of a QB or LT. I'm a Ravens fan and I am scared out of my mind at even trading him for a top 16 pick."
  23. I think the second round is the make or break round for the Bills. Even though it is largely affected by the Bills' choice in RD1, There are enough subplots in the second round to make me "suspend judgment" about the Bills' future at least until our #41. Subplot 1--Skip over the Lineman pick in favor of a featured or high-demand position? ----------Characters: ----------------Colt McCoy--QB with all of the physical tools; could already be gone (Cleveland?) ----------------Brandon Spikes--ILB the position that nine of our team analysts listed as a Top 3 priority in this draft. ----------------Damian Williams--WR with the size-speed combo that can work opposite Evans. ----------------Tim Tebow--QB--Gailey's strength is utilizing talent. Subplot 2--Follow up with another lineman even if we get one in RD1? ----------Characters: ----------------Charles Brown OT--the zone blocker, oor hand punch, low upper body strength, and a lack of nastiness ----------------Saffold/Ducasse OG/RT--If you went LT first, do you take a future RT next? ----------------Jared Veldheer LT--Green Bay is hot on this guy, who they think they can groom to replace Chad Clifton. ----------------Cam Thomas NT--Early, but it's a need and he won't make it to RD3#72 Subplot 3--Take a risk player with huge upside? ----------Characters: ----------------Terrence Cody NT--big, two-gap Nose Tackle (may be picked early by Chargers: will Bills trade up?) ----------------Demaryius Thomas WR --broke foot while training for combine; excellent size, GT player, great blocker ----------------Tony Washington LT--Probably good risk to take him as he is 1st round talent with one mistake long ago Whatever happens in the first round, happens. I urge Bills fans to unloose the noose at least until this pick. It'll be a doozy.
  24. NE lists no team needs as a P1 or P2, and these are the only P3 Needs by our Pats Analyst: WR, TE, DE34, OLB34, ILB I think the Patriots are positioning to take Brandon Graham, Michigan OLB34.
