  1. The same thing would be true, though, with CB. If they want the best CB, he'll be available at #9, top 3 CB's will not be available at the Stillers' pick at #18. Want Haden? MCCourty? Wilson? Come talk to us! http://drafttek.com/round12010.asp The Stellers could probably get it done by offering their 2nd rounder, #52 (see trade chart) http://www.drafttek.com/tradechart.html Resulting Draft: 18 Bruce Campbell LT Maryland 41 Brandon Spikes ILB Florida 52 Jared Veldheer RT Hillsdale 72 Brandon LaFell WR LSU 107 Linval Joseph DE East Carolina 140 Jonathan Crompton QB Tennessee 178 Rahim Alem OLB LSU 192 Vince Oghobaase DE Duke 209 Travis Ivey DT Maryland 216 Danario Alexander WR Missouri
  2. That's exactly what Yahoo Sports' Senior Writer seems to think! I'd say the low 60's is the perfect time to open up them phones. Ben Tate, Jahvid Best, Gerhardt, maybe Jonathan Dwyer, then there's a huge dropoff. There's still demand at that point. It's possible that no RB will be picked from 65-101.
  3. Hey, Hondo, welcome to the Wall. The problem in taking Spiller or Bryant in RD1 is that there is a finite amount of good NT's and LT's, and by not addressing one of those early, the pickings get slimmer. By round, it looks like this: Left Tackle RD1 1. Russell Okung, Oklahoma State (Top 5) 2. Bryan Bulaga, Iowa (Top 10) 3. Trent Williams, Oklahoma (Top 13) 4. Anthony Davis, Rutgers (Top 30) RD2 5. Bruce Campbell, Maryland (Late 1st-Early 2nd) 6. Charles Brown, USC (Late 1st-Early 2nd) 7. Rodger Saffold, Indiana (2nd) 8. Jared Veldheer, Hillsdale (2nd-3rd) RD3 9. Jason Fox, Miami (3rd-4th)--More likely RT from here on in RD5 13. Tony Washington, Abilene Christian (5th-7th)--Could be a LT 15. Chris Scott, Tennessee (6th-7th)--blocked for Crompton 16. Derek Hardman, Eastern Kentucky (6th-7th) Nose Tackle RD1 3. Dan Williams, Tennessee (Top 20) (NT) RD2 6. Terrence Cody, Alabama (Late 1st-Early 2nd) (NT) 9. Cam Thomas, North Carolina (2nd-3rd) (NT) RD3 10. Torrell Troup, Central Florida (3rd-4th) (NT) RD4 12. Linval Joseph, East Carolina (3rd-5th) (NT) RD5 16. Jeff Owens, Georgia (5th-7th) (NT) RD6 20. Jay Ross, East Carolina (6th-7th) (NT) The need for NT in this draft will make poorer player get picked earlier, so you're looking at Troup or Joseph possibly being picked in the 3rd if you don't take NT or LT in round 1.
  4. One thing I notice is that RD4 in my mock and your sig is the disposable pick if you take Crompton in RD5 instead of Tebow, Skelton, or Jason Campbell. That RD4 --and Lynch-- could be involved in a trade up to (and including) April 22-24.
  5. I put a Grab on Jimmy Clausen at DraftTek's online draft simulator. The only way DraftTek's Simulator ignores your request for a player you "Grab" is if your Top Priority (P1) position is available. Here's how picks 1-8 went down: 1 1 St Louis Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma P1 1 2 Detroit Ndamukong Suh DT43 Nebraska P1 1 3 Tampa Bay Gerald McCoy DT43 Oklahoma P1 1 4 Washington Russell Okung OT Oklahoma State P2 1 5 Kansas City Eric Berry SS Tennessee P3 1 6 Seattle Derrick Morgan DE43 Georgia Tech P1 1 7 Cleveland Earl Thomas FS Texas P2 (FS is Cleveland's 2nd highest priority) 1 8 Oakland Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa P1 So there at the Bills' pick is Trent Williams LT, Clausen QB, and Dan Williams NT. An enviable dilemma. I kept LT as the Bills' P1 pick, so it gave me Trent Williams! Our picks thereafter: 1-Trent Williams LT 2-Corey Wootton DE34 -------(WR's Arrelious Benn and Demarius Thomas also there, as was Tebow) 3-Carlton Mitchell WRF --------(Here I'd have gone with Spikes or Donald Butler ILB 4-Brandon Lang OLB34--------(Could have Skelton QB here) 5-Jonathan Crompton QB------(I like the pick) 6-Al Woods DT34----------(Like this pick, too) 6-Jeff Byers OC------------(I'd take the guy that protected Crompton at Tenn-- Chris Scott OT) 7-Andre Dixon RB------------(David Gettis and Danario Alexander WR were still on the board)
  6. No, but Ben Tate in RD3 would be a good pick. Or trade with the Rams and get Jahvid Best in the 3rd.
  7. Charles Robinson, about the trade: "Like most trades this time of yr, likely on draft day. But I'll write about it b4 that"
  8. What we're hearing is that it's a player for a player, not a draft pick. The other thing we're hearing is that some team is talking to a top 3 team about moving up for Bradford.
  9. Michael Schottey (of Bleacher Report and DraftTek) and I. Michael's in touch with the senior columnist of Yahoo Sports, Charles Robinson.
  10. Robinson: Ha. I won't B goaded into saying it. There is a reason I can't write it yet. But yes, I know all the parties involved now. Patience, tweeps.
  11. Robinson: Sorry guys. Don't mean 2 make U suffer. I have 2 wait. But I'll reveal the RB & the team that wants him soon. Don't expect it 2 be shocking.
  12. "Pro Bowl running back" on the trading block Posted by Mike Florio on April 10, 2010 3:44 PM ET Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports reports that an unnamed (for now) Pro Bowl running back is on the trading block. Robinson (via Twitter) says that knows the name of the tailback and the teams involved. He says he'll reveal the player soon, that it won't be shocking, and that it's not Cowboys tailback Marion Barber. In 2009, the Pro Bowl running backs were Chris Johnson, Maurice Jones-Drew, Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, DeAngelo Williams, and Frank Gore. In 2008, they were Thomas Jones, Johnson, Ronnie Brown, Marshawn Lynch, Peterson, Clinton Portis, and Michael Turner. In 2007, they were LaDainian Tomlinson, Joseph Addai, Fred Taylor, Willie Parker,Willis McGahee, Peterson, Barber, and Brian Westbrook. We're guessing that it's Lynch, and possibly McGahee.
  13. We are hearing Lynch to the Lions. Stay tuned...
  14. Welcome to the Wall. One more thing--always put an asterisk with the Patriots*, as in "you won cheating so your success is tainted". Astro
  15. You are correct. I'd be very surprised to see McCluster drafted before Round 4. He may be picked before our RD4 pick, however. Likewise with Cody in RD2 and Spikes in RD3.
  16. Per Twitter: USC junior defensive end Everson Griffen has visited the Buffalo Bills, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Griffen turned in an impressive workout at his campus Pro Day workout, running the 40-yard dash in 4.59 seconds at 268 pounds. Griffen also registered a 34-inch vertical leap and a 9-7 broad jump. Griffen posted eight sacks last season. We have Griffen going at #22. They have also had Pierre-Paul and Trent Williams in, who would be on our mock at #25 and #26. Are we trading down with Houston or Cincy? Something's going on. More Info on Griffen http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/front-...amp;position=de
  17. We think the Lions have something going. From one of our analysts: This would throw most mocks into a tailspin, which is why our guys are watching it closely.
  18. Tim Graham adds his two cents http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...ion-for-buffalo
  19. Jake Locker? or Jay Clocker? I hear Zaaaaaa Crobinson is a mobile guy, is a fast learner.
