  3. Trade Down to 9, take Dallas's #2 and #4 pick. 4. Trade Down with Dallas at 9, who wants to leapfrog Tennessee for Bowers, or Dareus? Who breaks the tie????
  5. As soon as two respondents IN A ROW agree on a particular pick, I'll give you the results from our Simulator. Round 1 Round Pick Team Selection Psn School CRI Delta ReachValue 1 1 Carolina Nick Fairley DT43 Auburn P2 +0 Value 1 2 Denver Da'Quan Bowers DE34 Clemson P3 -1 Reach 1 3 Buffalo
  6. Von Miller will be a "rush" OLB, not a "strongside" OLB. Think Tamba Hali of the Chiefs.
  7. I like Sam Acho, mainly as a stand-up 3-4 linebacker, not as a 4-3 DE, or as a DT (LOL). He's currently listed as the #34 player on our Big Board. We draft #42 in RD2. Dude is smart. He won the Campbell trophy, the scholar-athlete of the year. (by the way, Greg McElroy was a finalist). Gailey and Nix like smart players, and both could end up in Bills Blue.
  8. Add Donald Jones and Marcus Easley. We are stocked at WR.
  9. If Fairley is picked first and Peterson is picked second, some say AJ Green is the BPA. "How can we take a WR when we are stocked at WR?" you ask. Last year, same scenario: we're stocked at RB, CJ Spiller was the BPA on their board, and you know the rest.

  11. Blackmon, Floyd back to School! The following key players have decided to return to college, and have been removed from the draft pool: DE Jared Crick, LB Courtney Upshaw, WR Justin Blackmon and WR Michael Floyd. Additionally, the San Diego Chargers have been awarded the NY Jets' 2nd round pick in the Antonio Cromartie trade. The Jets 3rd round pick has been restored. 2011 NFL Consensus Mock Draft
  12. I'm all over this like a cheap suit. We won't be greedy; we'll take Dallas's 2nd and 4th to switch: 9 Buffalo J.J. Watt DE34 Wisconsin 34 Buffalo Stephen Paea DT34 Oregon State 40 Buffalo Justin Houston OLB34 Georgia 68 Buffalo Lance Kendricks TE Wisconsin 99 Buffalo Nate Irving ILB North Carolina State 109 Buffalo Colin Kaepernick QB Nevada 121 Buffalo Marcus Gilbert OT Florida 130 Buffalo Michael Egnew TE Missouri 164 Buffalo Derek Hall OT Stanford 195 Buffalo Delone Carter RBF Syracuse
  13. I simulated taking AJ Green in the first to see if this "Spiller-type" pick would hurt: 3 Buffalo A.J. Green WRF Georgia 34 Buffalo Stephen Paea DT34 Oregon State 68 Buffalo Jeremy Beal OLB34 Oklahoma or Matt Reynolds OT BYU 99 Buffalo Luke Stocker TE Tennessee 121 Buffalo Wayne Daniels OLB34 TCU 130 Buffalo Chris White ILB Mississippi State 164 Buffalo Derek Hall OT Stanford or Greg Romeus OLB34 Pittsburgh 195 Buffalo James Brewer OT Indiana www.DraftTek.com Green and Stocker give Fitz more weapons, Paea and Jeremy Beal, along with Chris White generate more pressure, and Hall and Brewer can be in the mix with Urbik, Wrotto, etc. for line positions.
  14. Here are the Pittsburgh players that are eliible for the draft: 1 30 Pittsburgh Jason Pinkston OG Pittsburgh 2 42 Washington Jonathan Baldwin WRF Pittsburgh 4 102 Arizona Jabaal Sheard OLB34 Pittsburgh 5 158 Pittsburgh Greg Romeus OLB34 Pittsburgh Sheard and Romeus in RD4-5, with Wanny to coach linebackers?
  15. This is going to be one of the best dramas in this year's draft. You have Carolina's Ron Rivera, one of the best defensive minds in the NFL, IMHO. He knows that defensive pressure makes LB's and CB's look good. However, he has a shot at Cam Newton, who's going to look better in about 5 more minutes, and AJ Green --somebody for Clausen to throw to. Their needs are QB, DE, DT, CB, and WR, so they'd love to trade for picks. Just not Brohm-Kelsay-McCargo-McKelvin LOL. Then you have Denver. They need CB, TE, SILB, and DT34. They have pick #2, but also get two players in the top half of the 2nd round. With #2, they may take Bowers. Or give Tebow somebody to throw to. If I had to guess, because they can get DT Paea and, say a go-to TE (D.J. Williams) in Round 2, they take DE first. The key is that Fairley is DE34 or DT43 with NO SACRIFICE OF ABILITY, but he's NOT a DT34. Paea in RD2 is. Scratch Fairley off Denver's list. They'll go for Amukamara or Peterson.
  16. Again, I added the Round and Pick. Yes, I know---Casey Matthews will go higher. --Astro Mon., Jan. 10 8:30 p.m. BCS title game Auburn vs. Oregon RD Pick Team Plyr Pos College 1 2 Cincinnati Nick Fairley DT43 Auburn 1 13 Seattle Cameron Newton QB Auburn 4 124 Baltimore Lee Ziemba OT Auburn 5 132 Detroit Josh Bynes ILB Auburn 5 142 Minnesota Mike Blanc DT43 Auburn 6 169 San Francisco Mario Fannin RBF Auburn 5 152 Chicago Casey Matthews ILB Oregon 7 212 San Diego Kenny Rowe OLB34Oregon
  17. He would. Watch tomorrow night's game. He's just one rung below Suh/McCoy in a DT43 scheme, but he'd cause problems outside as well. Bad news is, I've talked to the Panthers and Broncos, and they say they'd pick him if he was there. I have a Grab in on him for Buffalo, but I doubt he'll fall there. I hope for a couple of workout warrior, combine crashing players to move him on down to us.
  18. I wanted to see if trading with TEN would change our picks compared to #10 with DAL. In short, it didn't. Quinn and Jones were still there at our first 2 picks, Sturdivant or Moch are there in RD3, and we get DJ Williams the TE with the Tennessee pick.
  19. Thoner: Detailed evaluations, there. You're wrong on Costanzo. Of the 208 mock drafts that I munched, 78% used Anthony Castonzo in the first round, and 18% of those said Chicago. I have 11 teams interested in OT in the early rounds. I expect 4 OT's in the first 15 picks. Herzlich I agree is good value beginning in RD4, and we have 2 picks there. He's played in every game this year at OLB, and his tackling numbers are back where they were back in 2006, but not 2007 numbers when he amassed 97 tackles and 12 sacks. I will reserve judgment on Moch until I see him again tonight. I'll give you that he is small just like Maybin, but not a one year wonder by any stretch (11.5 sacks and 15.0 tackles-for-loss as a soph, then 61 tackles as a junior, 20 TFL, and even better this year). Guess which team has selected CB's in the 7th round the most?
  20. I am going to agree with you. Here is a list of players ranked 4th Round right now. Whoever ends up there in April, the point is, it frees us up to deal picks, addresses need, and gives us 2 players instead of that immature punk. 22. Set your DVR for the 9:00 Fight Hunger Bowl, especially if you haven't watched Anthony Castonzo of Boston College (wouldn't he look good on the O-Line, especially in a tradedown?), Dontay Moch (is he big enough or will he get swallowed up by NFL blockers?) and Colin Kaepernick worth a 2nd rounder? 23. We'd have the best TE in the draft. Tennessee(#1 offensive need), Denver (#1 offensive need), Atlanta, and Carolina are definitely the competitors, but Denver picks before us in RD1 and we pick before them in RD2. I personally think he ends up as Atlanta's #1 pick, right around #29-31.
  24. Hey, my sleeper was Gabbert! I really don't think the Bills will draft a quarterback in the first 5 rounds. I count 11 teams that will draft one of 6 QB's who have a shot at stardom. In order of preference, I would take Greg McElroy, Nathan Enderle, or that's it.
