  1. Although Jimmy Smith remains one of the finest ever to play the Hammond B3 organ. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMbHPHtQhCg&feature=related
  2. Round 2 had the Bills taking the draft's #1 TE Kyle Rudolph and ILB Kelvin Sheppard, who directed the South's defense for Gailey's squad at the Senior Bowl. So far: 1-Robert Quinn DE 2-Kyle Rudolph TE 2-Kelvin Sheppard ILB What do you think the Bills need next? OLB? NT? QB? CB? a Guard who could be RT? an inexplicably-falling DE? A reminder--you have three 4th Rounders to pick tomorrow. Round 3 will end tonight at 11pm EST. Oh...And you're on the clock. Astro
  3. 1-Von Miller, LB Texas Tech 1- Jimmy Smith, CB – Colorado 2-trade to Green Bay for the #32 pick 3- James Carpenter, OT – Alabama 4-Colin McCarthy, LB – Miami 4-trade to Green Bay for the #32 pick 5-Jerrell Powe, DT – Mississippi 6-Virgil Green, TE – Nevada They hadn't done Round 7 yet, but I would give this draft a C+/B-. Why not sign Drayton Florence, keep your 2nd and 4th rounder, and snare Akeem Ayers, OLB at RD2 and have Miller/Ayers for 10 years? Then take local player Greg Romeus, DE in RD4?
  4. Great post, Sllib. I wish they knew about free agency already because it would affect drafting a RT and TE. I believe Nix when he says they like their OLBs but need 2 ILB's from draft or FA. I think they take ILB before OLB, but we'll see.
  5. Welcome Caballero. It's a good summary of what we're up against at pick 3. I hope my Draft Game underscores that a trade down to the #7 area allows us to get an extra 1-2 Top 100 picks in addition to some of the same players you have listed.
  6. Yeah, and before that they had us taking AJ Green, I think. Dareus.
  7. Thanks. This year's gems are Pernell McPhee DE and Julius Thomas TE, both of whom we should take in RD4.

  10. I think Kaepernick will be Day 3 as well --in the 76-80 range. Of course 76 is Buffalo, 77 is Tennessee, and 80 is Jacksonville.
  11. I'm just glad I didn't click on it and see Peter Pan. Not that there's anything wrong with a man with makeup and a tomboy haircut dressed in a pixie outfit. Unless the man is in that War Room 27 days from now.
  12. That'll get you 5 years in Leavenworth, 11 years in TwelveWorth, or 5 and 10 in Woolworth!
  13. Same here! I remember doing the same double-take. Jarvis has a good chance of being one of 6 players that'd be on my board at RD3#68: 1. Rob Housler TE 2. Johnny Patrick CB 3. K.J. Wright OLB43 4. Jarvis Jenkins DE 5. Ras-I Dowling CB 6. Danny Watkins OG Brandon Thomson is not on my radar yet. I assume he's an underclassman.
  14. I think he lasts. Here is a simulation I just did for another thread, where I tried to grab Newton and Kyle Rudolph, but Brooks Reed was still there at 34: www.drafttek.com simulation: Round Pick Team Selection Psn School CRI Delta ReachValue 1 1 Carolina Cameron Newton QB Auburn P6Grab -15 Reach 1 2 Denver Marcell Dareus DT43 Alabama P2 -2 Reach 1 3 Buffalo Nick Fairley DE34 Auburn P2Grab -4 Reach 1 4 Cincinnati Blaine Gabbert QB Missouri P1Grab -5 Reach 1 5 Arizona Patrick Peterson CB LSU P2 +4 Value 1 6 Cleveland Von Miller OLB43 Texas A&M P2 +3 Value 1 7 San Francisco Robert Quinn OLB34 North Carolina P2 -1 Reach 1 8 Tennessee Da'Quan Bowers DE43 Clemson P2Grab +2 Value 1 9 Dallas Tyron Smith OT USC P3Grab -5 Reach 1 10 Washington A.J. 15. We can improve this defense by having 6 LB's staying healthy this year, by Troup's and Carrington's improvement, by McGee staying healthy so lock down their number 1 receiver, and by savvy defensive picks in RD 3-7. I think the selection of Carpenter in RD3 should be a defensive pick, as there are still strong O-Linemen in RD 4-5-6. How about: 1-Cam Newton QB 2-Kyle Rudolph TE 3-K.J. Wright OLB/ILB 4-Casey Matthews ILB 4-Pernell McPhee DE 5-Korey Lindsey CB 6-Joseph Barksdale OT 7-Harold Ayodele DT34 7-Terry Griffin DT34
  16. I would have thought that you were making an announcement about the uniforms by your subject line. In the future, please be careful not to waste our time.
  17. No flame necessary. It's a very sound set of picks!
  18. http://www.drafttek.com/CMDRound1.asp While I see the Newton Love beginning to build, I am reminded of Bulaga Love and how fickle she can be. Take the BPA at each pick, and let the draft come to you, Buddy.
  19. 1-Run Defense, Middle (ILB, NT) - 2-Run Defense, Setting The Edge (DE) 3-RT 4-TE Who Can Block First, Catch Second 5-Pass Defense, For Coverage Sacks (CB) 6-QB 7-OLB (I like Moats/Coleman/Merriman) 8-Punter
  20. San Francisco at 7 is the most realistic. They have TWELVE draft picks. 1. First round, No. 7 (7th overall) 2. Second round, No. 13 (45th overall) 3. Third round, No. 12 (76th overall) 4. Fourth round, No. 11 (108th overall) 5. Fourth round, No. 18 (115th overall, from San Diego in 2010 draft-day trade) 6. Fifth round, No. 10 (141st overall) 7. Sixth round, No. 9 (174th overall) 8. Sixth round, No. 25 (190th overall, from Seattle for DT Kentwan Balmer) 9. Seventh round, No. 8 (210th overall) 10. Seventh round, No. 30 (230th overall, from Detroit for QB Shaun Hill) (Jets' original pick in the round) 11. Seventh round, No. 38 (238th overall, compensatory) 12. Seventh round, No. 49 (249th overall, compensatory) They'd pony up a 2nd and 4th for an exchange of firsts. This allows them to get a QB (or Peterson), and it gives the Bills a draft something like this. Not too shabby. 1 7 Buffalo Nick Fairley DE/DT 2 34 Buffalo Brooks Reed OLB 2 45 Buffalo Kelvin Sheppard ILB 3 68 Buffalo Colin Kaepernick QB 4 100 Buffalo Casey Matthews ILB 4 108 Buffalo Kenrick Ellis NT 4 122 Buffalo Ricky Elmore OLB 5 133 Buffalo Derek Hall RT 6 169 Buffalo Chris L. Rucker CB 7 206 Buffalo Zach Pianalto TE 7 244 Buffalo Andre Smith TE
  21. Moorman was severely average last year. According to ProFootballFocus.com's premium stats, Moorman had 3 bad games, 3 good games, and 10 average games. The bad games were both Miami games and at Cincy. The JAX home game, and away games vs. KC and MIN were his good games. His average was 26th in the league. Ten punters had fewer punts returned, 29 had more punts returned. He had the 4th-most punts out of bounds (a 5-way tie). He was 28th in net return yards. He was in a 7-way tie in 7th place for most touchbacks.
  22. I'd take the tradedown route as well. I've simulated trades all the way down to #10 Dallas. Here's that one: 1 9 Buffalo Cameron Jordan DE34 California 2 34 Buffalo Ryan Mallett QB Arkansas 2 40 Buffalo Mason Foster ILB Washington 3 68 Buffalo Dontay Moch OLB34 Nevada 4 99 Buffalo Chimdi Chekwa CB Ohio State 4 109 Buffalo Tim Barnes OC Missouri 4 121 Buffalo James Brewer OT Indiana 5 130 Buffalo Julius Thomas TE Portland St 6 164 Buffalo Chris Neild DT34 West Virginia 7 195 Buffalo Harold Ayodele DT34 Emporia State 7 244 Buffalo David Carter DE34 UCLA
  23. Players the Bills could select with that comp pick would include IMHO: Alex Linnenkohl - OC - Oregon State center would provide backup to Wood, especially if Hangartner's released. Schuylar Oordt - TE - N Iowa guy has height + vert and decent hands (although he was underused as a receiver). T.J. Yates - QB - North Carolina was known for their defense, but Yates has height, escapability, charisma David Carter - DE34 - UCLA DT at 6'5" 300 could play DE34 as well. A Combine snub, looked good at Shrine game Lawrence Marsh - DE34 -Florida guy and his line coach have a number of connections with Bills, George Edwards
  24. Scott Tolzien. He completed 81% of his passes against blitzes this year. If we don't fix the RT position, he'd be a good bet! He won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award in 2010 for Wisconsin (best Senior QB including Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick, and Christian Ponder), led the nation in completion percentage (74.3). And Wisconsin got back to the Rose Bowl for the first time in 11 years.
