  1. 340 pounds, but he was naked. Good ole boy from Hobgood NC, which is just down the bus line from Roanoke. I think he'll go earlier because he's a nose tackle. Redskins maybe in RD6?
  2. On Josh Thomas, Buffalo's shutdown CB: "At the school’s pro day held March 10 indoors on FieldTurf, Thomas, who was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine last month, put together a solid workout in front of representatives from 14 teams. Thomas (5-foot-10 5/8, 192 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds, had a 40-inch vertical and a 10-8 broad jump, ran a 6.89 3-cone drill, and stood on his short shuttle time and bench-press repetitions. Thomas already has had a private workout with the Patriots, and he is scheduled to visit the Bills, Eagles and Jaguars before the draft." He is listed on some boards, including PFW, as a late 3rd rounder. Jaiquawn Jarrett is a tall 6'1" safety who is strong at man coverage. Good hips and agility. He played every game in his career, and was 1st or 2nd in tackles every year at Temple. Ryan Bartholomew is the Syracuse OC that beat Leif Larsen's bench press record and the 4.93 40-yard dash. He was a team captain, has played 3 years at Center, and can play OC/OG. Derrell Johnson-Koulianos, who was Ricky Stanzi's best receiver IMHO, now faces seven drug charges, all misdemeanors: four counts of possession of controlled substances, two counts of unlawful possession of prescription drugs and one count of keeping a drug house. A urine test administered by arresting officers showed a preliminary positive for marijuana and cocaine. Various prescription pain killers and muscle relaxers police found in his bedroom were also his, and DJK says that "he gets them from friends" and takes them without having a prescription.
  3. Here's what Longball at DraftTek says about Cameron Jordan:
  4. So if we tweet him up, we can have him say any name whatsoever??? Kewl!
  5. I blow 'em away so that nobody gets confused or overwhelmed. Think of it as a benevolent despotism.
  6. I'm in Penfield, near St. John Fisher where training camp is, and I'd be interested in finding out if anyone from TSW will be out and about for beer and wings Thursday night. Astro
  7. The Bills Draft Thus Far: 1-Robert Quinn DE on tradedown with SF for their #45, #108 and #173 2-Kyle Rudolph TE 2-Kelvin Sheppard ILB 3-Jarvis Jenkins DE 4-Casey Matthews ILB 4-Greg Romeus OLB 4-James Brewer RT 5-Joseph Barksdale OT 6-DeMarcus Love OG 6-Tyrod Taylor QB 7-#206 7-#244 You will make TWO picks, selecting from 2 lists. Make your picks by tomorrow (Friday) at 3pm EST. You're on the clock. Remember....Have Fun!
  8. My plan A would be to talk up Quarterback so that Carolina picks Newton instead of Dareus/Fairley/Bowers. That's working pretty well.
  9. It's all about timing. It was at the Owners' Meetings last year that Gailey/Nix talked about "drafting a water bug": http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/11889/gailey-wants-to-draft-a-scatback This year, Gailey talked with Allen Wilson at the owner's meetings, and mentioned: 1. Gailey reiterated that Ryan Fitzpatrick is his starter, if a franchise quarterback is available with the third pick in the draft, the Bills would strongly consider him. 2. Gailey said teams continued to double cover Evans early in the season, but didn't do it as much by the middle of the year. So...AJ Green if Newton is taken.
  10. So far, using DraftTek's Simulator we've drafted: 1-Robert Quinn DE on tradedown with SF for their #45, #108 and #173 2-Kyle Rudolph TE 2-Kelvin Sheppard ILB 3-Jarvis Jenkins DE 4-Casey Matthews ILB 4-Greg Romeus OLB 4-James Brewer RT 5-#133 The main needs (except maybe QB, CB, S) have been met. Time to widen your selections. We have two 6th rounders and two 7th rounders after this. Make your picks by tonight (Tuesday) at 10pm EST. You're on the clock. Have Fun! Astro
  11. Herzlich was taken the pick before ours by Cleveland. Good for them. Great story, that Mark Herzlich...
  12. As in the real draft, you think some players will be available to you when you pick next, then they aren't. That explains Kaepernick, as well as the OT's. The good news is that well-scouted good RT's are available late. Carpenter, Brewer, and Hall are good examples, so all is well. Astro
  13. I think we need 2 TE's from the draft or FA. I wonder if Fitz will know how to use 'em.
  14. This seems definite pretty quick. Keep your votes coming!
  15. I'll give you a list. -Adrian Clayborn DE--will run out of gas. -Christian Ballard DE--will be too slow. -Tyler Sash S --will be run over, around and through. -Cameron Heyward DE--too lumbering, not a good pass rush -Christian Ponder QB--injuries and looks miserable in the cold
  16. Our simulator put Dalton at #57 with Seattle. We took Kelvin Sheppard with a #45 after a tradedown to #6 in RD1. We took Fairley, then Locker.
  17. So far, using DraftTek's Simulator we've drafted: 1-Robert Quinn DE on tradedown with SF for their #45, #108 and #173 2-Kyle Rudolph TE 2-Kelvin Sheppard ILB 3-Jarvis Jenkins DE 4-#100 4-#108 4-#122 Make your picks by Tuesday 3:30pm EST...You're on the clock. Have Fun! Astro
  18. I think that is why Nix-Gailey are gushing about Newton-Gabbert. They know it will get Cincy to draft #2 in order to take their choice, freeing one more defensive player to fall to us--perhaps the one we're most interested in all along.
  19. Orlando Franklin is a 3-year-experience LT that would be the 7th best LT on our board, but the 11th best RT. I just don't see a value pick at OT in RD3.
  20. As the Left Guard with Carimi, Moffitt got a good look from the Bills draft staff this year. While they like Levitre next to Bell for consistency, they might like Moffitt there and see if Levitre can play RT. Moffitt can also play backup Center. I personally feel (and so does Nix) that the Bills have 3 excellent Guards on their roster-- Urbik (who was also a Wisconsin Guard!), Levitre, Wood), and the selection of a Guard here would not be drafting for need--but is one of the best players available.
  21. Acho is such a standup guy, I'd like him to be a Buffalo Bill. Moch is raw but crazy athletic. Close call there. My Dad said the harder a choice is, the less it matters!
  22. Gailey and his coaches coached the South team, so they saw these players running his base offense and efense. This was the best I could do: 1-Von Miller OLB 2-Christian Ponder QB (close 2nd: Kelvin Sheppard) 3-Colin McCarthy ILB 4-DeMarcus Van Dyke CB 4-Pernell McPhee DE 5-Josh Bynes ILB 6-DeMarcus Love OG/OT 7-Derrick Locke RB 7-Kristofer O'Dowd OC South Roster
  23. I agree. We have him going to SF at #76 in RD3. He's actually a selection in my Mock Game for RD3 right now.
