Yup. I trust Beane to not roll with 5 CBs with 3 of them being seriously injured to start the season. I'd wager at least 2, if not all 3, of those guys are gonna be more or less 100% by Week 1.

I thought he performed poorly against Detroit, but showed some improvement against Chicago and GB. Not enough improvement to warrant a spot on the 53 - I agree with McBean on that . Though I think he's worth a PS spot to try and develop.

I'd be utterly disappointed if Wildgoose doesn't make it to the PS. That's a name I want to yell and root for in the future.

Doesn't Wildgoose take Cam Lewis' roster spot then? Or was Cam not rostered most of the year? My memory is hazy on this.

Hollister is a vested veteran and will certainly be back. If I had to guess, Phillips may be heading to IR for a few weeks. Yes. I believe if you IR a player before the season starts then they are done for the year.

That and Powell already being released. Good omens for Speedy as well.

Would not surprise me. That being said I would feel better about trading Kumerow then I do about Johnson right now. Though that would be shipping out two guys that figured to play big ST roles...so maybe not?

My comment was referring to the reporter who speculated that Singletary/Moss/Breida may all not play against GB. However it appears Wade is still injured and not practicing so there goes that. I guess we'll see a lot of the new back that was signed.

Hopefully that means Wade is healthy and will finally get a shot this preseason.

Those are both players I considered for this list but chose to leave them off. The reason being I think between Phillips' injury and potentially wanting to "bubble wrap" the young DEs who have already shown plenty, they may need DLine numbers against Green Bay.

They have to cut five players if I understand the new rules correctly. I guess I just haven't seen anything from Devey that makes me want to keep him around any longer. He's been in the league 7 years I believe and is still 3rd string at best. The only leg up he has on other bottom of the roster guys is experience with the team and system since he was on PS last season. I just don't think that warrants keeping him over a younger guy that has a better chance at improving at this point in their respective careers.

There were a couple of REALLY bad plays from Devey. I think he is one of the 5 to not make it past Tuesday this week.

I missed the first half though I saw a clip of AJ's sack, which was ridiculous btw, and am fairly certain it was against the starting LT for Chicago. Didn't catch a highlight of any of Groot's plays, but I would think he was up against starters as well. Overall it seemed Chicago played more starters than Buffalo did.

I could see a guy like Doyle getting the "injury red shirt" treatment
