  1. Thank you. Personally, I wouldn't want this to happen since it would most likely cost draft picks and we need them all, but if Nix really likes Bradford then I'll trust him. We better get a good LT in FA then if that's the route we are going to take, unless we want to get our guy in the 2nd.
  2. I think like you. I would rather take a LT in the first to help any QB stay on his feet. Hopefully, the Bills feel the same way. The only way, however, I see them trying to grab a QB in the 1st possibly is if they sign some great OTs in FA.
  3. Link please and thank you.
  4. I agree with you. He seems to be thinking ahead and has a plan. How well he executes this plan will determine his worth. But I am of the camp that thinks he will work out.
  5. I don't have the link, but in another thread someone illustrates the statistics on current franchise QBs and the round they are taken in. Besides Tom Brady, all franchise caliber QBs were taken in the 1st and 2nd round with Brees and Favre being the only 2 in the 2nd. That being said, if the Bills do draft another 3rd rounder like Edwards, I think there isn't much hope for him to become a franchise guy. This doesn't mean he will be terrible, just not the long-term guy we all want.
  6. It's not like he was announced as the starting NT. Just bringing him in to compete does no harm. Who knows? He could fit in with George Edwards' system and be an asset. Nothing is guaranteed at this point so there is no problem in exploring your options.
  7. Agreed. I think Whaley has great potential as a GM and hope that he takes over for Nix in the near future. Nothing against Nix, I would just like to see Whaley pan out.
  8. Definitely not a flashy signing by any means, but it is good to see that the Bills are already bringing in guys to compete this off-season.
  9. I liked Meredith too. Just more so on the right side. We need to draft a LT. He is not on this roster.
  10. Wouldn't surprise me. The roster is going to look extremely different come September
  11. I like what I have been hearing about this Robinson kid. If it's true that he has an accurate deep ball, then I'm in. Good footwork and balance, accuracy and a nice deep ball. Sign me up. We should take him in about the fourth round or so. Whether or not he is a day one starter, I wouldn't mind taking the time to develop him.
  12. I agree. The only reason I would take any of the aforementioned is in the worst case scenario you describe. Personally, I would McClain. He should be a force that will help us in defending the run.
  13. +1 Gotta love facts.
  14. McClain. I'd love to bring him in
  15. Agreed. There is a snowballs chance in hell we take him.
  16. Good point on defenses focusing on the run. I like that he states that he had to make the most of his chances. That shows he is a dedicated player and shouldn't be a disappointment. I mean if he makes the most of all his opportunities, maybe he could turn a short pass from one of our current dismal QBs into a big play.
  17. I gotta agree with your assessment of Freddy, but I'm no so sure about bringing in Thomas. Yes, he is a good back, but he will probably want a fat contract after last year and I would like the Bills spending their money on other positions at this time.
  18. I saw someone post elsewhere that his average yards per catch in GT was 25+ If that is true, then considering the flexbone offense he was in he is a great player. So, yes he most likely will be taken in the 2nd but with that foot injury I think there is a possibility he slips to the 3rd and we might take him. However we should focus on other positions so in reality it most likely will not happen.
  19. I'd like Thomas out of GT, mostly because if his connection with Gailey. He has said some good things about him and I think Gailey would go for him in the 2nd or 3rd if things play out that way.
  20. I agree that the Bills shouldn't use their first rounder on a QB, but I am not totally opposed to taking one as soon as the 3rd. Problem is it would have to be a project guy, which, of course, could turn out okay in the long run, but I know that most fans want an answer now :/
  21. And when those violations turn into suspensions there won't be a highlight reel. I'm not questioning his talent or ability, just his focus and desire. He doesn't seem to be that serious, but hey maybe he grows up. I just don't think the Bills should be making that kind of risk when there are bigger problems to take care of in the draft.
  22. But showing up late to games? I don't want to have someone who is supposed to be my new stud WR not showing up on Sunday...
  23. I read that article too. Let Denver or Miami take him. I don't want him.
  24. I'm glad you brought up Nelson. I think he will turn into a great receiving threat at TE before too long. If his blocking improves then he's gonna be really good.
