I guess that bodes well for Pitts with Munnerlyn cut.
-
It's just not believable, Cotton!

To parrot what @ColoradoBills said in the 2nd half thread - I can't wait to see what Beane gets from Chucky in return for Tyree ?
-
Haha so David Sills time?
-
Good point. I just get annoyed by obvious holds. I like the pace of the game tonight.

Is there a 4th string QB I am unaware of? ?
-
So I'm not the only one seeing plenty of holds?

DE Mike Love - on IR, Waive OL Wesley

Joseph may go the way of Mike Love now. -
Either Boettger or McDermott probably.

The Bills need to keep Duke Williams
Philo replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Zay more than most around here, but the whole separation argument is kind of the point with Duke and his skill set. He catches those contested balls that Zay just does not. Separation does not mean as much when he out mans the defender for the ball. My two cents. -
@teef I think you missed a name on your list...

Thanks for the explanation on those spots. I had similar thoughts to the poster you were replying to. I think you have swayed me on Munnerlyn vs. Pitts, but I am still on the JJ train. I was leaning Marlowe for a while until that forced fumble and recovery play by JJ last week. I guess my general reasoning is that if we are going with solid vets at the top 3 safety spots, then let's roll with the rookie that has made some nice plays for the last spot. I do like Marlowe though and won't be upset if he makes it. Just hope we can get JJ to PS in that case.

Great post. There are a couple spots I have different players penciled in, but I can see why you chose the players you did. It's going to be interesting to see if anyone plays themselves on or off the roster tonight. There are probably 3-4 spots that are fairly fluid still.

Not saying he is guaranteed a roster spot at all. Though if a spot freed up by placing Love on IR then it helps his case as he is definitely a bubble player. He has great athleticism and has shown play making ability (mostly in college and a couple flashes in preseason), but is prone to mistakes. If they believe it can be coached out of him, he has good upside. -

There are strong arguments to be made for each position and I will be okay with whoever they decide to keep - the talent depth is so good this year. My guess is they go with 7 LBs. You have the 3 starters, Thompson as the primary backup, 2 of Lacy/Stanford/Alexander as your ST regulars and added depth, and then hold onto Vosean Joseph as a game day inactive. I think they want to continue to develop him, but he probably won't clear waivers to PS. -
Biggest Remaining Roster Questions

Good to know on the punters. I'm sure Beane and company are monitoring those situations. I thought that too (re Bates), but I think his positional flexibility and performance in preseason makes him a risky stash. Just a gut feeling that they hold on to him and not risk anything, no matter what happens with Morse. -
Dang, your league was dedicated to the backs research! Brieda and White are definitely serviceable for now. Good luck!

How many of the 53 on opening day aren’t on the team today?
Philo replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All I can see is punter for sure and maybe swing tackle. -
Nice draft! (besides the RBs) Personally, I would wait on those. I have a couple of stash suggestions that could help. So I have heard quite a bit of buzz about stashing Justice Hill (BAL). Some think he becomes the guy in Baltimore at some point this season. That's more of a lottery ticket. I'm sure Tony Pollard (DAL) and Justin Jackson (LAC) were drafted already, but they are good short term options if they are available. Oh and Jaylen Samuels (PIT) isn't a bad option either if he is available. He will probably see decent usage as a change of pace receiving back with obviously large upside if Conner happens to miss time. Also a good DST streaming option to start the season is Dallas. Their first 3 weeks are easy - Giants, Skins, Fins.

Quick google search says he only played RT for the Bears, who had drafted him, pre-Bills. -

Has he ever played on the left side? Presuming any interest from the Bills would be as the swing.
