  1. For sure, I was just hopeful it took the #13 pick out of the WR conversation.
  2. Are the Niners looking for a WR or nah? Need to know if this helps push those guys down more.
  3. I thought they were LBs but I could be mistaken.
  4. Gotcha. I didn't catch those rumors.
  5. Didn't see this one coming. I don't think this is the trade Banner was alluding to though.
  6. Same. Between him and Phillips I wanted to keep Shaq more. Really stinks he is going to a division rival.
  7. I have to imagine that if Beane caught wind of Hopkins being shopped that he would be on the phone. My guess is BOB knew enough to at least ship Hopkins out of the conference.
  8. Yup, Lamb was the first thing that came to mind. Well, right after BOB being a complete moron.
  9. What is BOB doing?! Actually, this should help push one of the big three down come draft day...
  10. I wouldn't hate it if the price is reasonable. Could this be another "Beane is a wizard" moment?
  11. I'm pretty lukewarm on Howard, but would be okay with it. Signing him should not change their plans to draft a RB at all though. They still need playmakers. Howard is fine as a veteran and move the chains guy. Also, having him would give us reasonable depth going into the draft so it doesn't feel like a pressing need and keeps options open, which is always good.
  12. Aren't those lineman that Bobby Johnson was working with at the Clemson pro day today project to be Day 3 guys? One of them could be in the plan there. Also, let's not forget about Ike Boettger. This is likely the show something or you're out year for him.
  13. Coleman is going to be allowed to walk IMO and I think they are comfortable with Johnson and Marlowe (he needs to be re-signed) as the depth. Personally, I don't see them looking hard into safeties unless they don't plan on paying Poyer.
  14. Yup, Joe always comes prepared to support his opinions. Also, he works for the Draft Network so he lives and breathes football evaluation.
  15. Great post - second paragraph especially.
  16. My comment was with regard to Spencer Long. But I do agree that they should be adding enough options at WR to push Foster off the roster. ST could be his saving grace depending on how things play out.
  17. Absolutely. He's a versatile depth option, with starting experience, and we all know how much they love versatility.
  18. He showed some good things on ST so I could see him still making the team for that alone. At that point though it would likely be between him and Andre Roberts for the last WR spot.
  19. All expected moves. Foster probably has his work cut out for him making the team this year though.
  20. Yup. I'm thinking a low cost, serviceable vet like Richardson then draft a couple guys. Takes the pressure off the rookies for immediate production, but the hope would be that one is a significant contributor in year one.
  21. Do the Packers play a 3-4 scheme? I know Martinez is an ILB, but was wondering if he could work as a 4-3 OLB in Zo's role. I have no idea how the skill sets translate. He may be too rich though even if he could fit. He has been a very good tackler, which was a weakness for the defense this season.
