Win as if you have been there before. If I was commisioner anything but handing the ball to the ref would be a fine. I'm so sick of these guys doing whatever they can to draw attention to themselves in a team sport. What's worse is that fans and the media draw more attention to it. What a joke.

How is it that Jason Laconfora and Adam Shefter break this news before the Buffalo media does? Guys like Hamilton & Sullivan are all knowing when it comes to football and the Bills. They should be able to get the inside info on this before Connecticut and L.A. right? I guess not. They are too busy doing "i told you so" interviews on 550. Even know they were horribly wrong about this team to begin with.
-
They should be able to get great match ups on 3 or 4 and short. Especially w/ Fred in the backfield. Granted I wouldnt go w/ a long ball every short yardage late down play but I don't have a problem w/ the Bills going for the end zone there. It's twice as hard to hit a down field throw on 1st down then it is on 4th and 2. Jones seems to get awfully open for not being an "NFL Caliber WR". Relax people. It's not over yet.

I really hate Dallas. The Jets are by far my most hated team right now.

OT: On Right Now - Buffalo Braves vs. Philadelphia 76ers
eme123 replied to Rubes's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The Braves were well before my time since I'm a younger guy. After reading the Wikipedia write up it sound like the Braves had really poor ownership. They were an expansion team in 1970 and considered moving by 1976? Wow! Give it a chance. I do know a lot about business. To start a new venture and give it 6 years before you start talking publicly about relocating is really bad for business. If today's NBA was to get a hard salary cap like the NFL it would be really cool to have a team here in Buffalo. That would never happen but the way today's NBA is who cares anyway. The Buffalo team would be like a Milwaukee, Indiana, or New Orleans team at best. The top 3 or 4 markets in the NBA all compete for the good players. Pencil Miami in the finals this year along w/ Dallas or LA Lakers. That's no fun at all. I like watching teams compete game in and game out. That's why the only sport I bother w/ is football. Here we are in week 9 and about to play a game w/ huge implications. How important was the 9th game to the Sabres? -
Why does John Clayton still have a job?
eme123 replied to Billshank Redemption's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The best analysts are always the former players and coaches. They always have better insight and add more to conversations other than he's good/bad. I don't get how guys like Clayton or Jerry Sullivan make it. It must be because they can write. I have no idea. In Sullivans case he has no ability to evaluate football talent. -
Bills will wear White at home this weekend

Drayton Florence is calling for a Whiteout via his Twitter acct. -
I probably should make my point clearer. Revis is a pro bowl corner. He's good! Does that mean we don't throw at him?
-
Coaches tell QB's not to throw to their best receiver because Revis is that good?
-
I've seen alot of Jets games over the past few years. I've seen Revis make some great plays, I've seen some ball just fall into his hands, and I've seen him get beat. The media pumps him up a lot. I don't know if he's so good that you don't throw to his side of the field. Members of our local media seem to think the best game plan is not to throw near him. The local media has proven their lack of football knowledge. We all know how much the national media knows about the Bills. So should we believe them when it comes to Revis? Is he that good?
-
I could have cared less about this dumb thread until I saw this link. This is ridiculous that the Buffalo Ns can't even acknowledge us a first. Jerry Sullivan must have turned those standings in. What a joke
-
Im not a fan of it when Fitz lines up as a wide out. The point of the wild cat to me is to get an extra powerful guy on the field. It seems like it is money when we are in 3rd and short. It also forces opponents to game plan for it. When Brad Smith completes a pass out of it then that will throw defenses through a loop on 3rd and short for sure. They will be forced to stack the line but they will also be thinking about a possible pass.

Maybe I can seduce Mary Wilson, convince her to marry me, and eventually get a piece of the team. I will keep the team in Buffalo for sure. That is if the state comes through with the 200+ mil I need in stadium upgrades. If not your all f*****.
-
This is a perfect example of why government should not be involved in business deals with private companies. The state has no negotiating position right now. Are they going to say to the Bills and their Fans "no we can't pitch in for stadium upgrades"? Meanwhile they just ponied up 3.5b for Yankee Stadium and possibly $ for Citi Field. The Bills in my opinion can come in and ask for a new stadium if they wanted. It's great news for me as a Bills fan. As a taxpayer it makes me furious.

My link Interesting Article
-
All i heard from Sullivan throughout training camp was the Bills are cheap, Ralph is cheap, etc. So, when the Bills go out and take a chance on a injured veteran pro bowler and it doesn't work out he plays the opposite card. The Bills don't know talent, they wasted money, etc. What other pass rusher was available in free agency this year? Who was available that was a better option than Merriman? Maybe Sullivan could have been dissecting the Bills talents on the field in training camp and we wouldn't have been so surprised when they came out of the gate 3-0. Oh wait i forgot he doesn't know S*** about football. I didn't bother reading Sullivan's article but I know exactly what he would say. Its pathetic. Side Note: Merriman "set the edge" really well on running plays this year. He always forced runs his way to the inside. He always got good push on pass rush but never broke free. Maybe his shoulder injury in week 1 had something to do with it.

Another major sports outlet calls him 'Fitzgerald'
eme123 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stuff like this is just proof that a majority of the media has no clue what they are talking about. They put the wrong name of the guy they are talking about in the title of the article. R u kidding me? -
I'm not saying any other CB wouldn't take the same position Revis did. Why should Francesca accept the wrong position? What kind of commentator is he if he just sits there and buys the line of bull. This was a situation where Revis knows he was wrong whether he wants to admit it or not. The thing that ticks me off is that he tries to play it off like we should see it his way because hes the athlete and knows something we don't.

I don't see NYS as funding Ralphs business venture. I see NYS as a landlord and the Bills as a tenant. The tenant has certain needs to keep his business growing. If the landlord wants to keep a tenant in it's property then they have to upgrade it. This is a great example of why government should not be in business. They are in no negotiating position right now. The Bills can decide how much the landlord spends. The landlord can either pay it or end up with an empty property. A 70,000 seat stadium in the middle of nowhere is a bad real estate investment to be in if there is no tenant. I don't fault the Bills at all for this. In Capitalism the object is to keep growing. They've created a strong enough brand and following that puts them in a great business position. Local Governments across the USA on the other hand have put themselves in very bad negotiating position by getting involved in these type of projects.
-
The issue Francesca had w/ Revis is that Revis was trying to justify it as not a missed call. Pass Interference wasn't called. No one disputes that. The dispute is that Revis seems to think that nothing should have been called. He's either on a complete power trip, in denial, or just plain used to getting away w/ overly physical corner play.
-
That 100 yard INT was pass interference plain and simple. This was a perfect example of terrible NFL 2011 officiating and an obvious bias towards Revis.
-
My link According to Collins the ROI is 25% year over year.
-
How could anyone complain about "taxpayers footing the bill"? The state makes their investment back in 4 years? That's a nice investment. I'm more worried about what NYS does with the profits after 4 years.
