  1. Scenario: Team picks up Urbik and we receive a draft pick. In turn we draft Decastro in the first round.
  2. I felt pretty comfortable w/ Hairston manning the left side last year. I say this is a perfect place for the Bills to roll the dice and invest their money elsewhere.
  3. I think we already have his replacement in Hairston. The Bills have to roll the dice on this one in my opinion. Let Bell walk and get overpaid somewhere else. Meanwhile we can draft LT depth and trust Hairston to exceed what he did last year which wasn't too bad.
  4. It must be contract time for Cowherd to re-up with WGR.
  5. I was watching "Path To The Draft" last night on NFL Network. They had some clips from the Alabama pro day. They showed Alabama's other corner Dequan Menzei running the 40. You could see Nix right at the finish line looking very intently with his stop watch. That probably doesn't mean much but i thought it was interesting that he was alot closer and seemed alot more interested than anyone else. The kid ended up running a 4.6 i think. Mayock says he sees him as a possible free safety drafted in the 4th or 5th round. As far as Alabama goes I would show favor to a team that has as much experience as they do over the last few years.
  6. Vincent Jackson would be a question mark in my opinion. He comes from a very poorly coached team. He also strikes me as the type who is looking for a big contract and then might decide to get too comfortable. He has great opportunities in San Diego to go deep into the playoffs and he was always complaining. Does he even fit that well with Gailey's spread offense? Mario Williams is the only sure thing franchise changing free agent. He will be the highest paid defense free agent ever so id say he's out. I thought Avril would have been the Bills most high end possibility but he just received the tag. If they go big early in free agency i hope its a corner.
  7. I've been begging for someone in the Buffalo media to show me some knowledge regarding football. Schop and Bulldog are no exception. They don't know anymore about football than you or I.
  8. Thats a great point. Buddy Nix has not said anything about his intentions publicly with out backing it up. Thats what i really like about him.
  9. "A League Source" as I suspected is just another example of terrible journalism by The Buffalo News/WNY media. Who should we believe? An unidentified "League Source" or Buddy Nix? J/C. No source. No story! Quit wasting my F***** time reading these baseless reports.
  10. Both sides in a negotiation have cards to play and time is a very valuable one. If it is "Fact" that the two sides aren't close 'im not at all surprised or worried. ex. Stevie's camp can use that card by saying "we want this or we will join the pool of FA's on Mar 15". The Bills should come back and say "he's not worth that because "X". "Will you take this? If you guys want to test the market go ahead but be advised that it is saturated with receiving talent" I have a feeling that Stevie/Agent aren't offering a discount to the Bills. In fact my guess is that they want more money for him to stay with the Bills. Stevie's demeanor throughout this process has been passive in my opinion.
  11. I see the fact that KC paid so much money for Routt a sign that the Bills plan to be more aggressive in free agency this off season. KC must have had the price bid up from somewhere. The Bills were the first team to show interest in him. Routt said really good things about Buffalo and seemed excited at the thought of coming here. I wouldn't doubt that the Bills were willing to overpay him a little but set a limit. Im glad to see they didn't cross their limit. In my mind being more aggressive in free agency isn't normally such a good thing. Most of the time all thats available is krap. There seems to be some interesting opportunities this year but for the right price. Build through the draft!
  12. So this board doesn't get their panties all bunched up when we start the 12' season with no significant free agent signings i say we just close this thread now.
  13. As much as I love the Bills I could live with being the town that finally stands up and says enough is enough. Government funded stadiums is a racket pure and simple. Government should never be in business and private business should never profit from the risk of taxpayers. NYS for example is going to pump $100 million into a stadium that gets used 8 times a year in Orchard Park, NY? WTF! This article couldn't have said it any better. I mean come on. Indianapolis is still paying on the RCA Dome until 2021? Wow! Also, in my opinion each and every one of these stadiums that goes up makes the experience less and less of what it once was. These new stadiums have less seats, farther away from the action, and are populated with white collar patrons that I would hardly call fanatics.
  14. Now he understands what Bills fans feel like.
  15. The home schedule isn't going to help the Bills sell tickets next year, thats for sure. NE NYJ Mia KC Jax Tenn Seattle St. Louis
  16. This reminds me of what sucks the most about the Bills last 11 seasons. After the Bills are eliminated in November i'm left for rooting for whoever is playing against the Jets, Patriots, or Cowboys. Its like being all time defense in touch football.
  17. I guarantee neither of the Ryan brothers wins a Super Bowl as a head coach. There will always be a QB good enough to beat the all out blitz. They get all the hype and the players love them but that doesn't win championships. That being said i really hate those fat f***** losers.
  18. If the draft was today and I didn't know what i know now I would have drafted Troup 100 times over. If the Bils would have drafted a TE over a DT in the early rounds we would have been pissed. When are people going to get over Gronkowski. We could have picked him but didn't. If we had picked him do you think he would have become what he is now with the Bills?
  19. The purpose of being in business is to make as big a profit as possible. That's the game Ralph Wilson is in. He's winning in blow out fashion right now. Frankly, I don't blame him one bit. At least someone is getting something positive out of the Bills. Also, the bigger the profit the Bills show the more viable they are in Buffalo. A potential owner would add close to a billion dollars in future expenses if he/she decided to buy
  20. Funny....... A 1st rd pick finally starts getting legitimate chances and good things happen. Some will still say he is a bust. I don't get it. Players take time to develop and learn. Today was just another step in the right direction.
  21. It's in the county's best interest to sell out concerts DOWNTOWN and aid the very few small restaurants, bars, and shops than try to sell nearly three times the amount of tickets in Orchard Park. What business or taxpayer would benefit from that? The Big Tree Inn and no one. Building that stadium in Orchard Park was down right dumb. I can't wait to see what happens when the Bills vacate the Ralph. Its gonna cost taxpayers a few million to tear the thing down and then what? I say housing development. As someone who follows local politics closely I feel that our Erie County wants to avoid the Bills issue like the plague. They don't have the money. It's that simple. Their plan is to push the burden on to the state. It's no surprise that Cumo has also avoided the issue like the plague. In his defense, why should he care? He can win his next election with out the votes of WNY. The county is going to have to raise an already ridiculous sales tax. That's the only answer to pay for stadium improvements. I'm sure that will be great for local growth. Haha. I need to get out of this F'n hole.
  22. I'm glad it's blacked out. The last few weeks have been painful. They are doin me a favor. White out to black out in 4 weeks!
  23. What is w/ people and the freakin tight end position? To me a tight end should be the last piece of the puzzle. I would have picked a DL or CB w/ potential 100% of the time in the first four rounds over a tight end. The Patriots comparison is an unfair comparison. First off they have Brady, Welker, and an incredible o-line that makes it ridiculously easy to hit a big TE w/ a pass. Also, they have ignored their D-line & LB's of late. When Belichik has a stellar pass rush he wins Super Bowls. So in hindsight should the Pats be picking pass catching tight ends over pass rushers? The Bills have more fundamental problems. I would puke if they picked a TE in the first 4 rounds.
  24. More great analysis from yet another Ralph is cheap nut job. He is 90. The only things he worries about is who is going to change his diaper and if he's going to wake up the next morning. Get some perspective. Anyways Stevie J was never a number 1 quality WR in my opinion. Neither was Lee Evans for that matter. The inconsistencies in both their numbers prove it. They both are taken out of games way to easy. It seems he could make a decent number 2 though. A prototypical WR w/ better size, speed, and balance would be nice as a number 1.
