  1. Niagara Falls is a dump. The Bills are better than that. I enjoy watching that city struggle decade after decade. There is just something about the people in that town where bad attitudes are contagious. Buffalo seems like 100 miles away from Niagara Falls when it comes to its people.
  2. Yep Nassib is slow but he can throw. Geno Smith can run but his accuracy is terrible. Who would you rather have?
  3. I find it hard to believe Nassib is going to make it to the 2nd round. There is no doubt in my mind he is worlds better than Geno Smith. Based on game specific youtube tape the competition wasn't even close. Nassib makes great down field throws and looks comfortable doing it. He stands in the pocket and takes some hits. He shows up when it really matters in games as well. Against USC he had a few mishaps. Geno Smith gets ALOT of help from his receivers. West Virginia has great YAC numbers. Smith missed some easy out routes. He throws a ton of screen passes which are often off the mark. He overthrew an easy touchdown by a mile against Oklahoma. I believe it was a crucial part in the game as well. The worst part is he gets skittish in the pocket. He's throwing off his back foot all the time and not hanging in there. Im sure the "experts" are watching more than the 3 games I watched but jesus christ. This guy looks like a disaster. I watched Smith vs. Kansas St, Oklahoma, & Oklahoma St. Nassib vs. Missouri, Louisville, USC
  4. They are busy working out a deal w/ Nnamdi
  5. per Adam Shefter- Dolphins releasing LB Karlos Dansby Maybe its not such a bad idea to stay asleep during FA. Same losers available two years ago become available again.
  6. NYS citizens can't make this type of decision themselves. They don't know any better. Research that has been shared by the media over the past few months just proves that football is too dangerous for the common man. Look what football did to Junior Seau. Football must be outlawed at once. Large Sodas, Styrofoam, and Football need to be wiped from the face of the earth. Next on the agenda is Ice Cream stands. NBC/CBS etc report that Ice Cream creates brain freeze which in turn could damage some brain cells. Gov Cuomo has his pen in position. Write the law
  7. The brain is like any other part of the human body. It can and will get injured when hit hard enough. American culture from the 1920's until 1996, 2008, or whenever didn't need research to describe it. "CTE" is a simple thing and will NEVER be prevented! No pill or helmet is ever going to stop brain damage from extreme trauma. So why study it? For one, Boston University sees a great opportunity to gather all sorts of funding and prestige. Two, its just another opportunity to advance the rhetoric of what I consider the entitled class in our society. University's, Media, Lawyers and Politicians all team up to create the next "victim". The victim here is Junior Seau. He was driven to suicide by the all powerful NFL. They knew about "CTE" and failed to properly inform their players. They are to blame and they should be forced to pay $$. Seau, Lawyers, & Media all cash in. Professors, Media, and Politicians further their rhetoric that a free society is a dangerous society. This is hardly a shallow take. Our judicial system was not set up to paint a victim and then extract the benefits. It was set up to punish those who oppress others. In my opinion it is a crime to twist the language in the laws of our society for financial gain. That would make the NFL the victim. If the NFL made a concerted effort to mislead their players(employees) about the dangers of full contact that is one thing. In that case they should be punished. But if they offered players a chance to play a game that generations of players have played I don't see any fault. They are in the business of selling football. They are not in the business of doing medical research and dancing in and out of courts. Junior Seau made a bigger mistake in my opinion. He chose to put his body in positions that are dangerous and every choice has a consequence.
  8. The term was "invented". As you said, people have known since the 1920's that getting hit in the head too many times is not good. In 2008 scholars decided they needed to give it a fancy name and open some school at an important university so they can make money. I'd say it worked. Its really a simple thing. If you don't want to end up with brain damage don't wack your head over and over again. Whats to study? It needs a name?
  9. This guy rammed his head against other muscle heads in the NFL, NCAA, High School, Pee Wee, in his backyard, etc, etc. So now the NFL, NCAA, School, Pee Wee team and the current owner of his childhood back yard must pay!! Its everyones fault but Seau's that he has "CTE" (invented in 2008) and ultimately killed himself. Seau had no part in his decision to play football. He was forced. Its everyone else's fault! Give his family their millions, raise our insurance rates, and get on with it. F'n stories like this irritate me.
  10. Chip Kelly is a terrible pick because... - No NFL experience whatsoever. - See Saban, Spurrier and countless others - 3 yrs experience ad a HC in college - Hes NEVER developed a QB who has played in the NFL - Oregon's track record isn't that good in the NFL. (Best QB's- Dan Fouts, Joey Harrington, Akili Smith) (Best Coach's- Norv Turner, Mike Nolan, Gunther Cunningham) There is nothing about Chip Kelly or Oregon that conveys readiness to succeed in the NFL.
  11. Rex is a terrible head coach. He turned his team into a circus. He started with a great roster and has done nothing with it but get progressively worse over the years. He sucks!
  12. Jerry Sullivan lacks football knowledge. I do understand he is a columnist and gets paid to share his opinion. However, when you know nothing and deliver your opinions in an over aggressive, wise guy tone, you are going to rub people the wrong way. He rubs me the wrong way for sure. I don't read his columns and I turn him off when he's on the radio. Buffalo has a terrible crop of local coverage for the Bills in my opinion. I struggle to find decent analysis from anyone covering the Bills. I think Buscaglia does a good job on WGR giving information he sees with his OWN eyes after re watching game tape. Tasker and Kelso obviously provide alot of insight on the game. I cant stand it when people like Sullivan or Paul Hamilton pretend to know more then Joe Schmo Fan.
  13. I know the type of fan that is still optimistic about the Bills chances. These people drink Crown heavily before every home game. They puke on their way into the game during first quarter and they puke on their way out at halftime. They pound fat chicks in rusty old vans during the fourth quarter and never reach climax. They wake up Monday morning to find out the Bills lose another heart breaker. This team is done! We can't Cover, Rush, or stop any average offense. We can run the ball but we cant throw it 10yds. No QB, No Pass Rush, NO Playoffs!
  14. To me the greatest thing about being a Bills fan is knowing that if we ever win a championship it would be very unique to our fanbase. We would be winning our championship in the USA's most popular sport. We would win it in the biggest sporting event of the year. It would come after nearly 50 years of heartache.(Very few other NFL squads have waited this long. Browns or Lions?) Most importantly it wouldn't be purchased. I could become a die hard Yankees fan and all but guarantee myself a championship experience in the next 10 years. With the Bills I have to earn it. So in my opinion there would be no comparison for any other teams in any other sports.
  15. I wonder where the "Ralph is Cheap" crowd stands after 4 games of Mario Williams? (Probably whining their A** off) This is just another example of what is available in Free Agency. Another teams trash just became our trash. Houston knew 2 years ago he was on the downside of his career and that he would have to be resigned to an inflated contract. If the Texans thought he was $100 mil worth of special they would have planned for the cap space. Teams are built through the draft. In the NFL you need all 52 guys on your team to contribute. Over paying another teams' junk ties your hands behind your back. It takes time and patience to repair a broken team like the Bills through the draft but its the only way.
  16. Im starting to think i actually like watching non Bills games better. Our team never looks like the rest of the NFL. They always lookout of sink.
  17. I'd be willing to bet the same people who complain about the free agent who doesn't live up to the hype are the same people that moan when he doesn't get signed in the first place.
  18. Division games almost count as double. Plus, we have been getting creamed in the division for years. The Jets game is more important than the Chiefs. Even though I could see the Bills losing to the Chiefs very easily.
  19. I thought Glenn would turn out to be a disappointment at LT. So far he is proving me wrong which is great!
  20. I like your column. I hope you bring Knowledge, Insight, and a Positive attitude. Jerrry Sullivan over at The Buffalo Snooze fails to do all three. He has succeeded at delivering his readers Complaints, Whining, and Irritation.
  21. The Pats are media darlings for sure. Tom Brady and a large Boston market will do that.
  22. So...the NFL made a secret arrangement to commit a crime? They then punished the teams who refused to go along with it? And they did it publicly???? Yep...that makes total sense. I highly doubt the billionaire owners & attorneys are that stupid. The only fact in this case is that the Cowboys & Skins were docked salary cap space. If it was because of anything close to Collusion the owners know they are protected. The NFLPA's case won't even make the courtroom.
  23. I just think that Hairston has started 7 games against good NFL teams and played well. So he's produced in my opinion. What makes 90% of the people on this board think that with his youth and experience that he's not going to just get better and better. Is it the fact that Hairston was drafted in the 4th and Glenn was drafted in the 2nd??? I have been dogging Glenn for the past month for sure but I love the pick. I like it because I think he can be a dominating player at Guard. He's a bruiser in the run game but his lateral movement looks to struggle against pass rushers. He's not a starting left tackle based on what i've seen. He has good experience though and I think he would make a good back up LT. (What i've seen is about 5 youtube videos but thats all us fans have) Buddy says he can be a LT because the Bills need depth at the position. So it kills two birds with one stone. Get a very good back up at LT and a guy with the ability to be great at Guard.
  24. Hairston will be the Bills starting LT on opening day. If Glenn starts anywhere it will be at Guard.
